Are you seeing this at your local brick and mortar stores? I wouldn't know as the Philly area doesn't get Star Wars products anymore and I haven't been on a store run in years. But we have received quite a few emails with concerns that express this is what is happening at stores that are getting new products. I would imagine that most stores haven't even received this yet, but what would I know. Let us know what it looks like in your area. Special thanks to Augstin for the store report! This image is from a Walmart in FL.

From San Francisco CA to Burlington NJ, it appears wave 2 is really making its way across the USA. Send in your store reports. Special thanks to JTA reader Richard F. for the image below.

Multiple Store Reports Coming In For TBS [SW40] Wave 2

Posted by Paul | May 27, 2017 at 07:12 AM ET |

We are getting quite a few store reports that wave 2 of The Black Series [Star Wars 40] line is hitting Toys R Us. JTA reader Agustin sends proof.

Found! TBS6 [SW40] Wave 2 Arrives To Toys R Us!

Posted by Paul | May 24, 2017 at 08:56 PM ET |

Found! The Black Series [Star Wars 40] wave 2 has been found at Toys R Us! JTA reader Jason A. sends us the proof! Hardcore front page fan site store reports trump social media reports any day.

Found! TBS6 Emperor's Royal Guard/Qui-Gon Jinn Wave In USA!

Posted by Paul | May 23, 2017 at 08:50 PM ET |

The latest wave of The Black Series [Phase III] figures have been found at a store in Austin TX. A member of 6" Black Series Collectors posted his report just a bit earlier. Check it out!

UPDATE: We originally posted TARGET, but this wasn't the case. Our mistake.

Hasbro REALLY REALLY Loves Princess Leia!

Posted by Paul | May 18, 2017 at 11:47 AM ET |

Despite what one of our sources had explained to us, it appears that the Princess Leia Organa solid case pack did manage to arrive at some Big Box retail as well as some other smaller retailers earlier than expected. (We're still unable to confirm this aside from the anecdotal evidence below.) Princess Leia Organa was technically supposed to arrive the end of May. Han Solo and R2-D2 are still on tap for later this year. If this is what solid case packs means for retail, I am not sure how I feel about it. This seems more disastrous than bad case assortments to me. In order for this to work, it seems it needs to be an all or none type of ordering, meaning all characters in an assortment need to arrive as solid case packs together. Then once a certain character sells out the retailer should be able to reorder it. But what do I know?

Want $1 Micro Machines? Try Dollar Tree!

Posted by Chuck | May 12, 2017 at 05:57 PM ET |

JTA reader Christian found Micro Machines 3-packs at his local Dollar Tree for $1 each. Might be worth stopping by your local store if you have a few singles to burn...

JTA reader Justin S. may have received the deal of the day. He scored a couple of TBS6 figures and the Kohl's exclusive four-pack for 2.98 each. Click the images below and click through for more!

Walgreens Places TBS6 [SW40] Figures On Clearance?

Posted by Paul | May 11, 2017 at 01:36 PM ET |

We are getting multiple reports from our readers that Walgreens has placed The Black Series [Star Wars 40] figures on CLEARANCE (not promotion or sale). See images below from Steve U. and Matthew G. Is this more documented proof of the nightmare that is distribution? These figures have barely been available this year and now this retailer has them on clearance?

Dear Maker, please make this stop. The Force Awakens is so 2015 and no one wants Rey and Episode VII Han Solo anymore. But that's what JTA reader Mark's local TARGET store in Plano TX just received to fill the 40th anniversary end cap. Oh, and it looks like this store is being blocked from getting new TBS6 figures as evidence by the Cassian Andor and Jyn Erso also prominently featured here too. Distribution MUST correct itself by Spring 2018, Hasbro. PLEASE DON'T DEACTIVATE The Vintage Collection by blocking any future wave assortments because it was killed by wave simply releasing wave 1....

If you live in Australia and you have $199.99 to burn, ToysRUs.au has The Black Series [P1] Boba Fett with Han Solo In Carbonite (former SDCC exclusive) in stock with a BOGO 50% off offer. Special thanks to JTA reader Dan A. for the alert.

JTA Facebook reader Jeff L. sends us a note with an image attached online at his local TARGET. Just look at this store report! How many Leias are there? Count them! I guess we can now assume female action figures don't sell anymore.

Reserve Your TBS6 Wave 11 Figures At Gamestop

Posted by Chuck | May 07, 2017 at 06:19 PM ET |

It looks like Gamestop stores are taking reserve orders for the upcoming Wave 11 TBS6 figures. JTA reader Erik was able to reserve both Qui-Gon and the Royal Guard. It's not known if all Gamestops are doing this, but it might be worth checking out if you want reserve this wave locally.

Toys R Us Finally Getting New Stuff

Posted by Paul | May 06, 2017 at 11:29 AM ET |

Goodness gracious me! I nearly PASSED OUT when I entered the Star Wars aisle at my local Toys R Us in Northeast Philadelphia. It's not that I needed anything, it's that there actually were new products on the shelves since Rogue Friday (aside from some store exclusives) last September. The new stuff was right on time for Star Wars Day. Also of note, all Star Wars products are on sale for 25% off through the end of today. If I had the remotest of confidence that stores would actually have something I might have taken the day off from work.

This TARGET Is Gonna Party Like It's 1999

Posted by Paul | May 02, 2017 at 02:36 PM ET |

Either this TARGET is in denial, this store wants to party like it's 1999, or it's all part of an elaborate bar code scam. (I have personally witnessed this scam myself at TARGET once.) JTA first time news story submitter Keven M. sends us a crazy store report of two POTF2 era figures in a sea of non-selling TFA and RO products. Did you ever think retail would look this dreadful? I wonder if we'll see those TFA and Rogue One figures on TARGET's pegs in 2034?

It looks like, just like everything else, The Black Series [Phase III] 3.75" Imperial AT-ST is re-arriving at Walmart stores with a vengeance. JTA reader Colin has noticed this trend at a couple of his local stores. What are you seeing?

More TBS6 [SW40] Wave 2 Reports: Washington State

Posted by Paul | April 30, 2017 at 09:47 PM ET |

JTA reader Keith S. sends us a cool store report. He too has found wave 2 of The Black Series [Star Wars 40] 6" line in Washington state. Check out his report by clicking through.

Wow! Everything is coming at once. Wave 2 of The Black Series [Star Wars 40] 6" line has been found in California and Arizona at Walmart! Special thanks to Steve U. once again for his friends' reports and these images from social media!

Found! 40th Anniversary The Black Series Titanium Figures

Posted by Chuck | April 29, 2017 at 02:34 PM ET |

JTA reader cave spider found the 40th Anniversary Titanium figures at a Walmart in Highlands Ranch, CO. He reports they also come with limited articulation.

The Vintage Collection Found At Walmart

Posted by Paul | April 27, 2017 at 07:46 PM ET |

JTA reader Jamal K. eagerly sends in a report to us with proof he has found a The Vintage Collection figure at his local Walmart!

Dicey Distribution Disappointing Diehards

Posted by Paul | April 25, 2017 at 11:52 AM ET |

That alliteration worked out nicely. JTA reader Rivesjunctionite sends us an image of what his local Walmart received with regards to the 40th Anniversary TBS6 figures: one blessed case. This has been the general consensus across those who are finding these at retail. And then there are the Amazon cancellations and postponements. The bottom line here is you better buy them when you see them. It is likely that more are being produced, but it's mind-blowing that there aren't enough to go around at brick and mortar. You have to wonder if what retail is sitting on now (inferior vehicles and 5POA and over-packed TBS6 figures) is truly impacting in a great way newly arrving products.

Good news! The Walmart exclusive Scarif Stormtrooper wave is beginning to hit Washington state. JTA reader Keith S. sends us the news!

What To Expect At GameStop This Week

Posted by Paul | April 12, 2017 at 08:30 AM ET |

JTA reader Braden H. has a friend who works at Gamestop and sent him some images of the display and figures being sold on Thursday (in case you haven't seen them yet). Also looks like Gamestop stores are receiving only 2 R5-D4 figures according to this kicker display.

An Image That Will Likely Invoke Some Sort Of Pain

Posted by Paul | April 11, 2017 at 02:49 PM ET |

Physical pain? Emotional distress? Mental anguish? There is no better caption for this image than "Salt in the wound." See what JTA reader Frank R. found at his local Walmart. Warning, the image is not suitable for all viewers.

I don't know how else to respond to this image except for the very trite "LOL!" What the heck is going on anymore? Special thanks to friend Steve U. for sending this image in so we could share.

EDIT: Apparently the street date for these is March 1st. I wouldn't know since my stores haven't received anything beyond the TFA desert assortment. Thanks to those who clarified this for me.

Is It Too Risky To Even Ask If Things Could Get Worse At Retail?

Posted by Paul | April 09, 2017 at 08:16 AM ET |

Because we don't want that question to make it worse. This isn't doom and gloom and this isn't hysteria. I will even concede it's anecdotal.... in EVERY last store I visit in multiple states. But it's my observation and I am presenting it. I honestly have never seen the Star Wars toy line in a worse state than I do now. (more....)

New Star Wars Hasbro Merchandise Arriving In Spain

Posted by Paul | April 09, 2017 at 07:51 AM ET |

JTA reader PackoM from Spain sends us an exciting store report. The 40th anniversary 6" figures and Jedha Revolt four-pack have hit his country.

Wave 1 Is Never The Problem; Wave 2 Is!

Posted by Paul | April 09, 2017 at 07:37 AM ET |

The headline may be ironic, but do we have reason to worry about having difficulty finding wave 2 because of wave 1? We're getting steady reports of readers finding the Legacy Pack and TBS6 [SW40] figures at their local TARGET stores. The question is will we see wave 2? Special thanks to JTA reader cress for the image.

Are You Still Seeing Finn Issues In Your Area?

Posted by Paul | April 09, 2017 at 07:32 AM ET |

Not even for $2. Do you still see Finn problems like this in your area? They're sadly still all over the Philly area.

Found! GameStop Exclusive R5-D4 Located!

Posted by Paul | April 07, 2017 at 12:54 PM ET |

JTA reader Dakota M. has found the Gamestop Exclusive TBS6 [SW40] R5-D4 figure at his local Think Geek store (from a pre-order). It looks like they're beginning to arrive folks!

Found! 3.75" collectors have something to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars with now! JTA reader and friend Steve U. has a friend in the Midwest who found The Black Series [Phase III] 3.75" die-cast metal figures at his local Think Geek store. You're going to want to buy two of these at the low, low MSRP of $16.99! If simply articulated slop metal (hey, that's what the Asians call it, not me) costs $16.99, it's likely we'll never see a super-articulated 3.75" figure at an affordable cost ever again. Sigh. These will be under $5 in no time.

TARGET Exclusive Imperial AT-ACT Driver Variation

Posted by Paul | April 01, 2017 at 04:37 PM ET |

There is another variant. The TARGET exclusive Imperial AT-ACT Driver comes with and without the red insignia on its chest plate. Special thanks to JTA reader Michael M. for providing us with the proof. He was able to secure both variants: one from his local TARGET and the other from eBay.

TBS [SW40] Legacy Pack With Darth Vader Found At TARGET

Posted by Paul | April 01, 2017 at 10:59 AM ET |

It's ridiculous the lack of communication we receive with regards to the Hasbro line. Apparently today is the official release day of the Legacy Pack with Darth Vader. JTA reader Christopher L. has found them at his local TARGET. They're out there folks! Use DPCI 087-06-7986 to find yours.

Jedha Revolt Found In Ireland

Posted by Paul | March 29, 2017 at 05:04 AM ET |

JTA reader Toryn G. from Ireland sends us a report that the Jedha Revolt multipack has hit. We also have the UPC numbers to share with you if you're looking for this set there.

Wow. Here is an interesting scoop for those who have HEB grocery stores near them (I believe they're frequently found in Texas). JTA reader Steve U. has a friend in Texas who sent him this image from a HEB store. They're already selling the 40th anniversary figures. Why does this feel like The Phantom Menace 3D debacle of 2012 all over again to me? So is every store on Earth going to have the same four or five TBS6 [SW40] in stock for the next couple of year?

TARGET Exclusive Imperial AT-ACT Driver Found Everywhere!

Posted by Paul | March 29, 2017 at 04:51 AM ET |

We're getting inundated for days now with fantastic store reports that TBS6 fans are finding the Imperial AT-ACT Driver TARGET exclusive. Admittedly a cool figure, don't expect his vehicle any time soon. Thanks to all who wrote in providing reports and images.

It's New, It's Old, But Does It Put A Lift In Your Step?

Posted by Paul | March 29, 2017 at 04:47 AM ET |

Weeks long insomnia from home appliance 'stress hell' while working full time and running a site means more news posts for you. The new TARGET kicker displays full of some new and a lot of old products is beginning to hit across the nation. JTA reader Aric B. feels hat refreshing sense of hope by seeing something new in stores, but when the contents are mostly old it feels utlimately disappointing.

Rogue One 12-Inch Speeder Bike Set For A Mere $6.99 At ROSS

Posted by Paul | March 24, 2017 at 03:51 PM ET |

JTA reader Jason L. has found the pretty awesome Speeder Bike (with Biker Scout) 12-Inch set at his local ROSS in California for a mere $6.99. We reviewed this set and found it favorable. You may want to see if this is for your collection too.

The Force Awakens Figures Show Up At Five Below

Posted by Paul | March 24, 2017 at 02:25 PM ET |

We have a report of The Force Awakens figures being found at Five Below. This should have been the normal MSRP for these figures. Special thanks to JTA reader Adam for the news!

UPDATE: Found! TBS6 Darth Revan/Sabine Wren Wave Hits Toys R Us!

Posted by Paul | March 22, 2017 at 08:53 PM ET |

Found! The Black Series [Phase III] Darth Revan wave has been found at Toys R Us in Frisco Texas. JTA reader Mark lets us know! It's unbelievable how long it has taken this wave to show up at TRU. What's VERY interesting about this is that the case features the new Princess Leia Organa, so it's not like these were sitting in warehouses for months.

UPDATE: Store report is from Texas and the case features the new Princess Leia Organa. I smell conspiracy theory.
