Titanium May Have Returned To The Star Wars Line, But These Haven't!

Posted by Paul | February 08, 2016 at 09:51 PM EST |

JTA reader Jason A. sends us an image of a very old item showing up at his local NJ Walmart. This figure is from the Revenge Of The Sith/The Saga Collection era and the line was cancelled rather abruptly. They are 3.75" scaled die-cast metal figures. They were quite nice, but the line was sadly unsuccessful. I asked Jason what the UPC looked like (if it had been manipulated in some fashion) but I haven't heard back from him yet. Usually when product this old arrives at retail is usually just another complex case of theft.

More Reasons To Loathe Walmart - As If There Weren't Enough Already

Posted by Paul | February 08, 2016 at 09:44 PM EST |

It's old news that third party vendors are selling stuff on Walmart.com. But it REALLY becomes salt in the wound when it is Walmart's own exclusives getting scalped by these other sellers. JTA reader Gavin B. had to share this disturbing image with us.

A Store Report From Spain!

The Star Wars action figure line affects every country differently. Check out what JTA reader Javier from Spain found! Click through for more! (P.S. Can I just say how honored we are that JTA reaches this far of an audience?)

Let The TFA Markdowns Commence!

Posted by Paul | February 08, 2016 at 09:18 PM EST |

Well, the merchandise has begun getting marked down. We just saw Walmart begin to discount their vehicle (I noticed the same thing in my area today in fact). Now JTA reader Trent R. sends us proof hat Meijer has reduced the Battle Action Millennium Falcon 50%! Click the image below for more!

I'll Gladly Pay You $9 For A Jango Fett Today!

Posted by Paul | February 06, 2016 at 05:55 PM EST |

JTA reader Havok found The Black Series [Phase III] Jango Fett for $9 at his local Walmart. Click through for his experience.

Posted by Paul | February 06, 2016 at 05:52 PM EST |

JTA reader K.S. sends us a great and new exciting store report. He found a couple of new products at his TARGET in NY. Check them out by clicking the images below.

When Nothing But Old Stock Shows Up At Your Local Brick And Mortar

Posted by Paul | February 06, 2016 at 05:44 PM EST |

In one of those "you just never know what you're going to find at retail," JTA reader Derek sends us an image of what he found at his local TARGET for $13.98. Derek explains that this was a difficult figure to find in his area. Click through for more.

JTA reader K.S. writes in with some new store finds including the Titanium helmets in addition to reship of the very first Rey (Starkiller Base) Build A Weapon figure! This store report comes from NJ where stock has been horribly low and almost impossible to find. Perhaps things are looking up in the Garden State.

Walgreens Darth Vader (Emperor's Wrath) Still Hitting Hard!

Posted by Paul | February 06, 2016 at 05:23 PM EST |

The Walgreens exclusive Darth Vader (Emperor's Wrath) TBS6 figure continues to hit various stores hard across America. We are getting one report after another about this figure showing up in heavy quantities. Special thanks to JTA reader Brad L. for the photo.

TBS6 Wave 4 Hitting Much More Frequently!

Posted by Paul | February 04, 2016 at 07:10 PM EST |

Well, well well. It looks like wave 4 is really starting to become more available. We have received reports from Massachusetts as well as Wisconsin. And we even have new reports from NJ! JTA reader Michael V. sends us this image from WI. Report your finds in the comments!

Titanium Helmets Found In Canada!

Posted by Paul | February 03, 2016 at 09:18 PM EST |

I personally cannot wait for the Titanium Series one-sixth scale helmets to arrive at my local stores. I patiently waited for Gentle Giant Ltd. to release their Armory line, but that never came to pass and the line was ultimately abandoned. Thankfully, it looks like Hasbro has truly crafted a nice collectors' item and I hope the line succeeds. JTA Canadian reader Daniel McG. found these in Montreal Quebec today.

Found! Ezra Bridger's Speeder Hits TARGET!

Posted by Paul | February 01, 2016 at 11:09 AM EST |

JTA reader Mike R. sends us proof that Ezra Bridger's Speeder has been found at TARGET. If you'd like to know more about this Class I vehicle set, then click HERE to check it out!

Previous TARGET Exclusive TBS6 Poe Dameron Found At Walmart!

Posted by Paul | February 01, 2016 at 11:01 AM EST |

JTA reader strugglebunny has found the single-packaged version of the TARGET exclusive Poe Dameron figure from the two-pack at his local Walmart! how is that for cross-promotion!? Click through for more!

UK Store Report: Poe's X-wing Drops Dramatically In Price At Asda

Posted by Paul | January 30, 2016 at 01:55 PM EST |

JTA UK reader Benjamin M. writes in to let everyone in the UK know that Asda has marked down the exclusive Poe's X-wing Fighter (the blue one) down from £49.97 to £12.49.

[Not] Seeing Red!

Posted by Paul | January 29, 2016 at 04:49 PM EST |

What could be worse than finding an instance of theft of a hard-to-find Star Wars figure? How about FIVE instances? New JTA reader Dave W. sends us news of a horrific case of major store theft. Someone purchased five "all white" Stormtroopers (probably for $9.99 at Hasbro Toy Shop's eBay store a while back) and then replaced the Walmart exclusive Imperial Shock Trooper with them (and then of course returned them to the store to get his/her money back). You have to wonder that if perhaps this has contributed in some way or shape to the current state of the hobby. And we also wonder how prevalent this blatant and egregious theft is.

Found! Snap Wexley/Crimson Corsair/Old Captain Rex/Unkar Plutt Etc.!

Posted by Paul | January 29, 2016 at 04:27 PM EST |

Our friends at Yakface.com are reporting that the latest The Force Awakens figures are arriving. This report comes to you from the Midwest again (it must be the best place to find things). Snap Wexley and Crimson Corsair Two-Packs have been found, as well as "old" Captain Rex and Finn (FN-2187) Build A Weapon figures.... among many others. It's time to start hunting again, and most of us don't even have what has been already released yet (before this new merchandise)!

TBS6 Wave 4 (Asty Wave) Hitting Toys R Us And Other Retailers

Posted by Paul | January 29, 2016 at 08:45 AM EST |

Despite having an estimated release date of December 2015, wave 4 of The Black Series [Phase III] 6" line is starting to show signs of life. We have two store reports of them arriving at Toys R Us, and JTA sponsor BBTS also has them in stock as a set. This may end up being a plentiful wave after all. Let's hope these trends keep occurring! Special thanks to JTA readers Rick S. and Facebook reader Ryan Partyrocker for the images and proof.

Ohio Walmart Puts Exclusive 3.75" Line On Clearance!

Posted by Paul | January 28, 2016 at 10:50 AM EST |

Retail has no concept of what is going on, especially when it comes to Star Wars toys. This is either additional proof that Walmart is the WORST retailer to get a collector-focused line or could this be an early sign that the Walmart exclusive The Black Series [Phase III] line is dead in the water? (Those other figures listed on that Walmart spy report never did get revealed or announced. Then again, nothing has been announced. We digress.) JTA reader Dave sends us an alarming image of the Walmart exclusive line being marked down and "clearance" stickered at a store in Ohio. Five super-articulated figures from The Force Awakens since September, and now this local store seems to have give up too.... on a THE collector line no less. Let's hope this is just the work of a clueless department manager. Waiting for a contradictory "tiptoe through the tulips" post in 3... 2... 1...

Buy, Steal, Return, Resell, Repeat....

Posted by Paul | January 28, 2016 at 10:37 AM EST |

Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes, and we aren't clever enough to make this stuff up. JTA reader Justin C. sends us an image of a pilot-less TBDS6 Special Forces Imperial TIE Fighter sans the pilot that has been sitting for almost two weeks without a bite (from his local Toys R Us). Would you pay $80 for just the vehicle? We'd say "doubtful".

*Little Girl Shriek/Scream*

Posted by Paul | January 27, 2016 at 09:34 PM EST |

Maybe sometimes it IS better to not see any new Star Wars figures in stores if this is what you have to see inside of their packages.... Special thanks to JTA reader Mike M. for the image.

Are Things Looking Any Better In Your Area?

Posted by Paul | January 25, 2016 at 08:45 AM EST |

Hasbro – please send the Northeast Philly region something else besides Play-Doh. And by "something else" I really mean Star Wars figures. Thank you.

Here A Rey, There A Rey, Everywhere A Rey, Rey

Posted by Paul | January 24, 2016 at 06:49 AM EST |

New Rey products have been found this weekend! The Rey stuff is finally coming out of the woodwork, and as you can see on much of the merchandise packaging, it's true that the secrecy surrounding her lightsaber needed to be secured. New stuff is hitting stores as we speak.(We still don't know how Duracell got away with THIS commercial. The secrecy was ruined back in October if you want OUR opinion.) Anyway, we don't deny some of the merits of the #wheresrey movement, but hopefully these new store finds will quell some of the noisemakers. Also found was a Han Solo blaster. These new finds are exciting and they are fear-inducing. Hopefully most will have access to them at their local stores. Hasbro still needs to win the distribution battle. Special thanks to JTA reader Braden H. for the news and images. Click through for his report.

Found! Rey (Resistance Outfit) Wave Found In USA!

Posted by Paul | January 19, 2016 at 01:01 PM EST |

Found! The Rey (Resistance Outfit) wave has just been found in South Carolina! it's time to start hunting again.... unless your store refuses to get anything new like most of them have been lately. Let us know of your finds! Special thanks to JTA reader and friend Josh M. for the news!

I don't deny for a minute that some areas of the USA are getting some sweet stock at various retailers as far as Star Wars toys are concerned. But Northeast Philly has been suffering from a drought since Force Friday. Store exclusives have very little difficulty arriving, but general release merchandise is a rarity, almost like a unicorn. Aside from an occasional Goss Toowers and PZ-4C0, it has been a struggle and without online availability, I wouldn't have much to show you here on JTA. Today, my local TARGET received a huge restock of toys. I was excited.... for about 30 seconds. Not one Hasbro box. Wait. I lied. There was a Play-Doh mutli-color can case in this mess. This store has had nothing since Force Friday (aside from the store exclusives) and a periodic Goss Toowers wave. What gives? And this is the trend all around me at Walmart, TARGET and Toys R Us. Even my local Walgreens have nothing but 6" Obi-Wan Kenobis. I hear this all the time from many people. I can't be alone, right? This is the worst handled new movie product launch event I have ever witnessed. The Clone Wars film was handled infinitely better. (Plus, the merchandise was amazing too.) I really hope things begin looking up.

There Nothing Like Finding TPM 3D While Trying To Find The New Stuff

Posted by Paul | January 16, 2016 at 09:33 PM EST |

The Phantom Menace 3D curse is still lingering. A deflated JTA reader by the name of Steve U. shares his feelings of this long-running hot mess. (more....)

Walgreens Darth Vader (Emperor's Wrath) Hitting Heavily!

Posted by Paul | January 16, 2016 at 09:27 PM EST |

We thought this was old news, but we received five eager store reports in the last couple of hours of our readers finding the Darth Vader (Emperor's Wrath) TBS6 figure at Walgreens. Special thanks to JTA readers Jason A., joshxdestroy, Derek R., Jeffrey M., Hunk of Junk and Brad L. for all their reports!

TBS6 Jango Fett Wave Rings Up For $5 Each At Local Walmart!

More Wisconsin TBS6 Finds!

Posted by Paul | January 09, 2016 at 09:29 PM EST |

We have another great store report from WI, this time from JTA reader Damian V. It looks like The Black Series 6" line is really starting to hit hard enough to settle on shelves!

Rey Is Plentiful When Distribution And Production Fall Into Place

Posted by Paul | January 09, 2016 at 09:01 PM EST |

With all that nonsense about Hasbro and other licensees overlooking "Rey the female lead of Star Wars," one just needs to look at examples like what JTA reader Michael V. found in his home state of Wisconsin. For example, if Hasbro actually gets out the products, there would be enough of a supply of Rey figures gracing the shelves to buy. It has nothing to do with slighting a character. It's about production numbers and distribution.

Walmart Exclusive Wave Three Hitting Texas More Frequently

Posted by Paul | January 09, 2016 at 08:55 PM EST |

JTA friend and reader Martin M. is ecstatic to finally see signs of new life in his area of Texas. He luckily found signs of the third wave of Walmart exclusive figures!

Jango Fett/FN-2187 TBS6 Wave Found In South Carolina!

Posted by Paul | January 06, 2016 at 10:54 AM EST |

And here come more successful store reports! JTA reader joshx has also found wave 5 of The Black Series [Phase III] line in South Carolina!!

Found! Jango Fett/Han Solo/Finn (FN-2187) TBS6 Wave In NC!

Posted by Paul | January 06, 2016 at 09:26 AM EST |

Found! It's unbelievable almost! During a time of year when stores hold back ordering new inventory in an effort to reduce stock levels for end of year calculations, JTA reader scram has found wave 5 of The Black Series [Phase III] 6" line which includes the First Order Flametrooper, Han Solo, Jango Fett and Finn (FN-2187). This purchase was completed in Greensboro NC!

Posted by Paul | January 03, 2016 at 08:40 PM EST |

JTA reader Derek has found something related to The Force Awakens in the Galactic Heroes line: a First Order Flametrooper. If this is old news, we apologize, but we had no idea this was released or part of the line!

Kylo-Adi-Mundi Exclusive Found At Retail!

Fred Meyer Has Some Good Deals Too!

Posted by Paul | December 27, 2015 at 09:24 PM EST |

JTA reader Jeremiah R. sends in a store report for Fred Meyer. While figures weren't as cheap, he did manage to find Poe's X-wing Fighter for 50% off (the price is should really be)!

The Force Awakens Build A Weapon Figures 50% Off At Kroger

Posted by Paul | December 27, 2015 at 08:53 PM EST |

We can't provide additional proof other than a store report from a reader, but JTA reader CT R. lets us know that he picked up The Force Awakens Build A Weapon figures for 50% off. They rang up at $3.95 at the register.

We've always had some doubters here with unbelievable store reports, but our story on the "less than $50" TBS6 FO Special Forces TIE Fighter really ruffled some of the feathers of (we guess) those who bought this for full price. "Receipt or it didn't happen!" and "this picture is a fake!" are just some of the comments we got. We don't feel we need to defend our posts in all honesty, but here is an image with a receipt proving that this is real to all of the naysayers out there. We won't be providing more proof beyond this. Special thanks to JTA reader Mlox for the photographic evidence!
