Yeah, that isn't an exaggeration. Well, there is no other way to say this than it's a miracle. To my shock, yours truly found a fresh "supply" of Saga Legends wave 2 at a local TARGET store right outside of Philadelphia. As you know, TARGET gets most of their figures piece meal now and I was fortunate enough to locate the AT-DP Driver and TIE Fighter Pilot figures (2 of each and that was it). The bigger shock? This local TARGET store, which has had one sole Yoda 3.75" (orange card) hanging and NOTHING ELSE SINCE today also had the TARGET exclusive "figure and vehicle" sets too. Still no sign of the AT-DP with AT-DP Driver yet....
It looks like remedy is in order as we have more Rebels store reports in areas that have been dry for months. JTA good friend Darth Eddie provides us with proof that wave 2 of Saga Legends have hit Roanoke, VA!

JTA reader Aarren A. sends us some slightly disappointing news about how most of the Star Wars stuff in MULTIPLE of his area's Walmarts is being discounted. I don't know all of Hasbro's numbers, but don't stores like Walmart prove to be a total waste time and again? This area happens to be Davenport, IA.

JTA reader Alex sends us a store report certain to make you question what is going on in distribution land. To clarify, for us, it's not about the TVC figures. Check out what this TARGET store shockingly had hanging from the pegs. Check it out.

It's February 1st and this is STILL what my local TARGET stores looks like (Admittedly, this is the worst.). Who said Rebels shipped to stores? Hasbro? What a farce! Gee- we hope we didn't incite too much panic when we said Rebels figures would be delayed until January 30th. We jest. But this is ridiculous now. Congrats to those finding Mission Series wave 2. It is almost fiction for most of us!

JTA moderator Paul B. also provides proof that Toys R Us has thrown in the towel with the high-priced Star Wars: Command sets. It's unbelievable that these army men toys were over $50 to begin with! Again folks, we're not even through ONE season of Star Wars: Rebels, the multimedia event to support all of these toys. This is NOT a good sign at all.
Sometimes finding old stuff is enough to keep the collecting bug embers "alive". JTA friend Martin M. shares a recent find with us. And we have to admit it is more exciting than what you can find in stores right now. Click through for more.

It look like the second wave of the Rebels Mission Series line is making its way to more and more TARGET locations. JTA reader Alex S. provides proof of his find. Guess what he didn't find? Rebels Saga Legends figures!

Site JediBusiness.com is reporting that one of their readers found the Amazon.com exclusive Slave I (originally priced at $99.99 then $69.99) at Toys R Us Express mall stores for a ridiculous $34.49. Let us know if you find these locally. Could this be the future home of all those TVC greatest hits waves? (We kid....)

JTA good friend Dan Curto sends us an image to share. If you're looking for a nice selection of 3.75" The Black Series figures, you may want to visit your local Wegmans stores. This incredible find is from Brockport NY. Click through to find out what figures he found and then click the thumbnail below for the proof!
We don't know whether to shout for joy and shriek in terror, because this is a whole lot like Night Of The Living Dead.... Star Wars style. Or maybe Sometimes They Come Back. (Or maybe they never left. Yeah, that's it. They never left.) Click the image below to see what JTA reader Mike H. found after his local Walmart decided to reset the Star Wars aisle.

This isn't a game of "Where's Waldo?" You don't even have to find the hidden toaster in a tree. We challenge you to find the Star Wars products in this North Carolina's Walmart reset that just happened two days ago! We're serious. We dare you to find the Star Wars products! Special thanks to JTA reader Mike R. for the image and laugh. No matter who is to actually be blamed for the abysmal state at Star Wars at brick and mortar now, there is no denying how the fun is just completely sucked out of the hobby, especially for those who love to hunt for their items.
The contrarians were wrong. Go figure! I guess the gift-giving budget conscious buyers totally missed the huge Hero Series X-wing fighters falling off of the shelves of my local TARGET stores. Surely they entered TARGET for the sole reason of looking for GIGANTIC budget Star Wars items that their children don't want or friends of their children don't want for birthday gifts. So I wonder why these didn't sell. Hmm. Anyway, these hideous things have been marked down 70% for three days now and two of my locals stores are STILL swimming in them. It looks like 90% will be required for some to bite. I still don't know who would want this thing though. The decals are falling off and the vehicle has one mode: sucky.

If you wonder why we say here at JTA that we would like to see it made illegal for Big Box to sell Star Wars, you really don't have to look that much further than reset season. Retail depends upon product and if product doesn't make it to the store for any reason (Hasbro's fault or not), the shelves look like this ridiculousness for sometimes months on end. Retail is about presentation and anal-retentive space designation. You think that they would just want to "sell" what comes into their stores. But if the layout isn't right, management falls to pieces and they've even been known to hold stuff "in the back" until the layout is just right. (We know no product is currently being held in the back at the moment.) It's sad that this particular TARGET has no clue that they will be waiting a long time for basic figures as well as anything collectors want in general. And let's not forget about that ridiculous price increase. I myself saw Yoda and Darth Vader for $12.99 today. These two figures will probably block the next three cases from arriving. Oh wait, TARGET doesn't get cases anymore. What a complete disaster! So why do people want storeslike TARGET to carry Star Wars collector stuff? Go online! Go!

Well here is a story that you're just not going to believe. We have asked some follow-up questions and reached out to others for more information, but in the meantime you MUST reader what JTA reader Seth from NJ has come across at the Meadowlands fleamarket in New Jersey. This one random guy with "lots of junk" to sell may make your blood boil. Or it may explain where all the Rebels Saga Legends figures went. Click through for more....

Walgreens has just employed a new way of preventing theft of The Black Series 6" line, although we don't see how this is ultimately beneficial for saving shelf space since they only devote a skinny row for them at the moment as it is now. Then again, it is likely that only one of these will be on the shelf. Confused? Then click through for JTA reader Jim's report on this. It's pretty sad that poor people (morally and ethically or those who choose to not work – NOT those who work hard and have limited means and resources, Lord know I have limited resources too – I had to clarify this to some folks out there – but apologies to those that misunderstood and have been upset by those word choices) are once again trying to collect by any means possible that it is has forced Walgreens to act in this manner. If you can't afford them, don't collect them people. You're just part of the problem that this hobby is dying. It's not rocket science. We really wonder how long this new anti-theft method will be utilized, because it LOOKS ridiculous! We also wonder how soon it will be before Walgreens tired of protecting Star Wars figures especially since a lot of stores barely carry stock of them. Click the thumbnail below to see a better picture of what we mean.

It's fact. It's not a rumor. But let us be clear: WE WON'T dare to presume what it means or how long it will plague the stores we are talking about here. We DON'T KNOW how widespread it is or if it affects all stores. You will have to be the ones to give us more of an idea about what is out there. However, JTA has witnessed multiple retail locations like TARGET and Walmart (in both Kentucky and Pennsylvania). We even have received multiple emails from readers asking us about this from other states as well (as evidenced in our Q and A of the Day today). These stores that we're talking about have removed the Saga Legends SKU from their mods/plan-o-grams completely. There isn't an ounce of space for Saga Legends figures (at the moment). But Hasbro said they shipped so we shouldn't pay attention to this, right? After all, our friends at Rebelscum.com said Hasbro said they shipped! But what do you make out of this news?

Looking for something to spend your hard-earned Christmas cash on? Then head straight to Five Below. They've restocked with a nice selection of collector-based Star Wars action figures. As someone once said, how many of these "bleeping" figures did they make? JTA moderator Sjefke reports in....
This post will make you feel pangs in your heart. Look at what fortunate Swedes get to choose from when THEY go Star Wars shopping. Click through for JTA reader Matt H.'s unbelievable report!
I can't believe these have been my options since the end of September at my local TARGET. Oh, and not shown but next to the Slave Leia and Greedo 6" figures are four TBS 3.75" Yodas. Click the thumbnail below for a larger image. Thank goodness for online.

JTA reader Jeff T. gleefully sends us proof that TARGET has given up on the Hero Series X-wing Fighter, which although Hasbro states is a standalone item, looks like the perfect vehicle for the "shampoo bottles". Come on gift-giving parents and children not interested in Star Wars yet. Why aren't you supporting this items? It's cheap, affordable and will fit your budgetary needs! All ye enlightened ones who claim to "understand" why Hasbro has gone the cheap route, why have you not supported this thing either? For your information, my TARGET locations are SWIMMING in these things. They're stacked up like freight in a warehouse. If this keeps up, retail won't even take a chance on the new Episode 7 Star Wars stuff. Why should they when they've been given all of these bridges to sell? Click the thumbnails below for larger images.

And it's almost Christmas! This may or may not be hard for you to believe, but there are STILL plenty of collectors out there who HAVE YET to see a single Rebels figure hit at their local retail establishments. JTA reader Matthew V. was so excited to see these arrive yesterday that he just had to send in the news. Click through for his report.

We're almost into the second week of December and my local TARGET has received 1 new Star Wars: Rebels figure (Jango Fett), 4 TBS [P2] Yoda (3.75") figures and is STILL swimming in TBS 6" Princess Leia (Slave Outfit) and Greedo figures. They're also trying to still sell these puppies from January 2013 (see thumbnail below). Why is Hasbro still making these? Oh, I know! They're for kids. And kids are going to save the line. As a close friend (and wise scribe) once said "Hasbro keeps chasing the customer they don't have instead of focusing on keeping the ones they do." I wish I could take credit for that line myself, because I honestly couldn't agree more with that sentiment. Maybe by Episode VII stores will get recalibrated and we can't start the madness all over again. (Click the thumbnail to see all I have seen since 2013 at my local TARGET, plus or minus a few exceptions.)
Paint operations have been much improved, but then there are exceptions like this. Check out the image JTA friend Dale H. shared on our wall. Image originally comes from Star Wars Modern Figures Collector's Facebook page.
