"I at one point had to say to Rian, ‘I pretty much fundamentally disagree with every choice you’ve made for this character. Now, having said that, I have gotten it off my chest, and my job now is to take what you’ve created and do my best to realize your vision." That's a direct quote from Mark Hamill. He then of course goes on to say how much he respects Rian Johnson after that.... blah, blah, blah. Check out the full article at Vanity Fair HERE.

Today Marks The 40th Anniversary Of Episode IV

Posted by Paul | May 25, 2017 at 08:47 AM ET |

Happy 40th anniversary of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope! It all started here. Disney attempted to sweep its originality under the carpet with a paltry remake that most people don't even talk about anymore, but the fact remains that those who grew up with the original will always remember its purity, perfection and wonderment. Thanks you George Lucas for making one of the greatest films of our lifetime and showing us that you and/or your involvement are the only ways this story can be told.

Today Marks The 34th Anniversary Of Episode VI

Posted by Paul | May 25, 2017 at 07:56 AM ET |

Happy 34th anniversary of Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi! It has the greatest cast of aliens than any other Star Wars film. It's also been the cop-out movie to dislike because Ewoks took on the Empire on Endor. For us that makes it the best. That's also the planet where Darth Vader's melted helmet should have stayed.

French Title Reveal Of Episode VIII Confirms "Jedi" Is Plural

Posted by Paul | February 17, 2017 at 08:51 AM ET |

JTA reader Vincent M. alerts us to the French reveal of The Last Jedi movie title and it confirms that Jedi is indeed plural in this instance. Whether this is a misprint (possible but unlikely) or not remains to be seen, but at least it is plausible to believe that it refers to more than one Jedi now.The Independent has more infomation on this. This additional development can be found HERE,

UPDATE: The title of this film has been released in MANY languages today and all have Jedi as plural.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Is Leaving Netflix?

Posted by Mike_Taber | February 09, 2017 at 06:04 PM ET |

Bad news, everyone. Star Wars: The Clone Wars is set to leave Netflix on March 7th. It is currently listed as "Available Until 03/07/2017" on Netflix. Interestingly, the Clone Wars theatrical release is not set to expire and season six of The Clone Wars was originally a Netflix exclusive. Netflix occasionally posts the expiration date even though a new contract is already in place, but I wouldn't count on that being the case. JTA has been reviewing past seasons of The Clone Wars in chronological order and you can find all of those reviews right here.

Han Solo Film Casting Update

Posted by Mike_Taber | February 09, 2017 at 05:59 PM ET |

Variety is reporting that Pheobe Waller-Bridge, star of the critically acclaimed Amazon series Fleabag, is up for a key role in the Han Solo. Talks are reportedly still ongoing. Waller-Bridge's role would be CGI based and her character would fill a role similar to K2-SO or Chewbacca. Which is interesting because Chewbacca himself will have a major role in the film. If she gets the part, Waller-Bridge would join Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and Emilia Clarke. Director Chris Miller announced on January 30th that filming has begun.
