Review: Savage Opress - Premium Format Figure

Posted by Paul | March 29, 2015 at 12:20 AM EDT |

The Savage Opress Premium Format Figure is another marvel by Sideshow Collectibles. And it makes us wish that all Star Wars licensees would produce more frequent The Clone Wars character than they do, especially those of this magnificent quality. Review: Commander Bly - R - Saga Legends (SL26)

Posted by Paul | March 28, 2015 at 12:56 AM EDT |

As one of our readers said "Commander Bly is a deviled egg without the paprika." Worst. Action Figure. Of 2015. Review: Han Solo (Endor) - R - Saga Legends (SL27)

Posted by Paul | March 27, 2015 at 12:35 AM EDT |

It's a skort! It's a kilt! It's a very short jacket with a matching dress obstructed by hip articulation! It's the worst Han Solo (In Trench Coat) action figure we have ever received. See why Han Solo (Endor) had potential, but Hasbro just plain blew it. It's the focus of our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! Review: Princess Leia (Endor) - R - Saga Legends (SL28)

Posted by Paul | March 26, 2015 at 12:20 AM EDT |

Yikes. Wave 4 of the Rebels Saga Legends lines functions more like a public service announcement of how not to do Endor-based figures than anything else. As a result, Princess Leia (Endor) doesn't really fare any better then the others. Learn more in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! Review: Luke Skywalker (Endor) - R - Saga Legends (SL25)

Posted by Paul | March 25, 2015 at 08:38 AM EDT |

It is 2015 and for the very first time ever Hasbro gives us Luke Skywalker (Endor) WITHOUT a removable poncho. We are extremely pleased with The Black Series 6" Han Solo (Stormtrooper Disguise) figure. See the new stuff Hasbro did to it to make it almost perfect. He is better than Bossk too! Review: Bossk - TBS [P2] - Six Inch Figure (#10)

Posted by Paul | March 23, 2015 at 08:46 AM EDT |

We're not joining the "Bossk is awesome!" fray. He is good but he has issues and we're going to address them. See more of The Black Series 6" Bossk in our Research Droids Reviews today. By the way, we also beat a long-running review column today with an "n + 1" gain. We are quite excited over that accomplishment. Review: TIE Pilot/Stormtrooper - R - Mission Series (MS17)

Posted by Paul | March 22, 2015 at 07:52 AM EDT |

Normally we would complain about more repacks, but the TIE Pilot/Stormtrooper set is actually pretty smart. Learn more about it in our Research Droids Reviews today. Review: R2-D2/Yoda - R - Mission Series (MS16)

Posted by Paul | March 20, 2015 at 12:20 AM EDT |

Let us advise you on your next Yoda action figure purchase! You can get a five-points-of-articulation Yoda figure in The Black Series line (with a couple of extra pieces of soft-goods) for $12.99, or you can get a five-points-of-articulation Yoda figure with the same and other similar accessories AND A WHOLE OTHER FIGURE for only $9.99 in the Rebels Mission Series R2-D2/Yoda two-pack. What will you decide? After all, this Yoda's sculpt is actually a tad better than the TBS figure. Find out more in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! As always, you can also send your own personal review requests via email if you'd like to see something that we didn't cover yet.

R2-D2/Yoda

We know that none of you are going to want to hear this, but the Rebels Mission Series Luke Skywalker/Han Solo two-pack may just give us the best modern version of "hood up" Han Solo in his Hoth gear. Yes, it pains us to say that too. But look at that portrait and tell us that he doesn't look exactly like the character from Episode V. No bushy parka hood, no sleepy eyes and a streamlined, albeit incorrect, blue coat. Also, Luke Skywalker isn't too shabby either. At least his outfit is screen accurate (for once) too. Learn more in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Luke Skywalker/Han Solo

Ah. Such good sculpts with horrific paint operations (again)! It's likely very few will be able to get past the terrible deco on the Princess Leia/Luke Skywalker (Stormtrooper Disguise) Mission Series set, so should we even bother to champion for its success? You decide in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Well, that will be the last time we tip off our readers. It took way too long to get the Stormtrooper Commander/Hera Syndulla Mission Series set. But it's here now. Review: Imperial Troop Transport - R - Vehicle

Posted by Paul | March 16, 2015 at 12:05 AM EDT |

It took over 35 years, but we finally have a modern update to the Imperial Troop Transport. What if we told you however that it is a hollow shell of the classic Kenner vehicle (because it is). Tragically, it still looks good, although it likely won't satisfy the collecting masses. See why we're torn in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! Review: Lando Calrissian [Skiff Guard Disguise] - R - SL23

Posted by Paul | March 15, 2015 at 02:20 AM EDT |

We told you from the NYCC Preview Party that this was true and now we know it to be true. But how is it possible that for the first time ever Hasbro has produced the skiff guard version of Lando Calrissian without a removable helmet? This is literally the first figure to not have this feature. It is 2015 and not 1983, right? We're perplexed. Let's discuss our confusion of this in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! Review: Han Solo [Bespin Outfit] - R - Saga Legends (SL24)

Posted by Paul | March 14, 2015 at 01:45 AM EDT |

Review: Luke Skywalker [X-wing Pilot] - R - Saga Legends (SL22)

Posted by Paul | March 13, 2015 at 12:40 AM EDT |

Luke Skywalker isn't nearly as bad as you might assume he is. He does have major paint operation issues, but also has a solid to excellent sculpt. Sound familiar? This is the motto of the Saga Legends line it seems. Learn more in our Research Droids Reviews today. Review: Plo Koon - R - Saga Legends (SL16)

Posted by Paul | March 12, 2015 at 12:50 AM EDT |

What is up with the color of the face mask on the Saga Legends Plo Koon? Yikes! A great sculpt is diminished due to terrible paint operations. Even his skin color is not right. Review: Clone Commander Gree - R - Saga Legends (SL15)

Posted by Paul | March 11, 2015 at 01:05 AM EDT |

We wish we could be as eager for Clone Commander Gree as we were for most of the other figures in Rebels Saga Legends wave 2, but this one is a train wreck. See why this figure may have been better off "dead" than released. It's all in our Research Droids Reviews today. Review: AT-AT Driver - R - Saga Legends (SL18)

Posted by Paul | March 10, 2015 at 12:25 AM EDT |

We will probably be mercilessly attacked for this sentiment, but the Rebels Saga Legends AT-AT Driver is to date the best AT-AT Driver action figure we have ever received. It makes the Legacy Collection BD49 version look like a total joke. And you didn't accidentally log onto Yakface.com. Yes, we don't know who we are either.
