Review: Shock Trooper - Unleashed

Posted by Paul | March 02, 2015 at 12:50 AM EDT |

Everyone collecting the Unleashed line prayed that Hasbro would make a Shock Trooper. What we didn't pray for exactly was this one. Learn why this was true in our Research Droids Reviews today. Oh man is this an awesome Unleashed figure! Check out the stunning Luke Skywalker [Snowspeeder Pilot] based on some off screen moment perhaps within the Battle of Hoth. He even has removable goggles. Review: Wicket W. Warrick/Biker Scout - R - Mission Series (MS10)

Posted by Paul | February 17, 2015 at 12:35 AM EDT |

This set is getting a lot of flack but we like it. Yes, it might be unnecessary and the articulation is stinky, but look carefully at the awesome sculpts in the Wicket W. Review: R2-D2 (Deluxe) - Heroes Of The Rebellion - 1:6 Scale Figure

Posted by Paul | February 06, 2015 at 12:25 AM EDT |

We interrupt our stretch of reviews on the Unleashed line to add Sideshow Collectibles' R2-D2 (Deluxe) figure into our 1:6 Scale Figure category. There is no doubt this figure is beautiful visually, but it has been cast in brittle plastic and has more than its share of quality control issues. And Dale, I added that comparison shot of the Sideshow R2-D2 next to the Medicom Toy RAH figure. Check them out! Let's look at this astromech droid in detail in our Research Droids Reviews today. Review: ARC Heavy Gunner - Unleashed (Entertainment Earth Exclusive)

Posted by Paul | February 04, 2015 at 08:18 AM EDT |

The Entertainment Earth exclusive ARC Heavy Gunner was the final piece in the seven-inch scale Unleashed line. A beautiful sculpt, it suffered from paint operations that were rough and uneven. Review: Darth Vader (Ver. 2.0) - Real Action Heroes

Posted by Paul | January 31, 2015 at 01:15 AM EDT |

Medicom Toy wasn't completely happy with their first take on the Darth Vader Real Action Heroes figure based on the character's appearance from Return Of The Jedi. So they started again and produced the stunning Darth Vader (Ver. 2.0) Real Action Heroes figure a few years later. It comes with a light-up lightsaber and other electronics. You're going to love it. Check out this incredible work of art in our Research Droids Reviews today. Review: Ishi Tib - POTF2 [G/FF] - Basic

Posted by Paul | January 29, 2015 at 01:35 AM EDT |

In 1998 we definitely all wanted an Ishi Tib action figure, but not this particular Ishi Tib. But this is still a great Ishi Tib until we get the Ishi Tib we originally wanted. Are you confused yet? Don't worry. We explain it all in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. It's sad that the second collector-friendly attempt of Princess Leia Organa (In Ewok Celebration Outfit) would just not deliver. A key outfit for her in Episode VI, collectors wanted the best out of this figure but likeness, scale issues and the inability to stand unaided were just the beginnings of her problems. Rumors abound that a new one is coming in The Black Series this year, but until it's officially announced we have to assume that this is one of three options we have for this figure today. Review: Bespin Luke Skywalker - POTF2 [G/FF] - Basic

Posted by Paul | January 27, 2015 at 01:10 AM EDT |

Would you believe it took Hasbro three (3) years to produce a modern Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) figure? They called him Bespin Luke Skywalker and released him in the Freeze Frame phase of The Power Of The Force "2" line. See this figure in our Research Droids Reviews today. Review: Pote Snitkin - POTF2 [G/FF] - Internet Exclusive

Posted by Paul | January 26, 2015 at 02:20 AM EDT |

Here is a figure from 1999 that looks almost as good today as it did when it was first released. Check out the gorgeous Pote Snitkin figure. Hopefully you already have him because Hasbro will NEVER revisit this character again in 3.75" action figure form. But they really don't need to do that. Find out why in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Review: Darth Vader (double cape) - POTF2 [FB/CT] - Basic

Posted by Paul | January 22, 2015 at 07:33 AM EDT |

Thank you for your support of our assessments of The Power Of The Force "2" FlashBack and CommTech figures. I didn't believe my friend when he said "talk about POTF2 and they will come". He was right. You have all exceeded our expectations. We will however be moving away from POTF2 and onto other exciting items, but we didn't want to change gears suddenly without letting you know we're thankful for your interest and support in these reviews of old products like these. In the meantime, check out the final basic figure in this category, Darth Vader, and see why he just didn't meet expectations for us in our Research Droids Reviews today.
