Research Droids Reviews: April 4, 2012 – April 10, 2012

Cat Miin - ROTS - Basic (III 62)
Sometimes Hasbro needs to take shortcuts, right? We can all be amenable to this once in a while, can’t we? When Hasbro announced that two “Repack & Repaint” waves would round out the Revenge Of The Sith line, collectors became ecstatic at the fact that a dozen “new” figures would be entering the line.... Passel Argente - ROTS - Basic (III 61)
Passel Argente has a much bigger role in the Expanded Universe than he did in either Episode II or Episode III. That could be the reason that Hasbro felt compelled to repaint the figure from 2003’s SW Geonosian War Room (2 of 2) Screen Scenes set and released it in his Episode III outfit, you know, to make those EU lovers happy.... Plo Koon - ROTS - Basic (III 66)

And this is a hard thing to organize when you’re not always given the full enchilada from Lucasfilm to best prepare for it. An ultimate product line (after all some things have to be kept quiet until a film’s release) usually relies of some secrecy.... (read the full review)

Vader's Medical Droid - ROTS - Basic (III 37)
There is an expression “like father like son”. We suppose that could apply here (but in a reversed sort of way). One of the many highlights in the The Empire Strikes Back was Luke Skywalker getting “back to health” in the bacta tank courtesy of medical droids 2-1B and FX-7.... (read the full review)

Tarkin - ROTS - Basic (III 45)
Whether you’re a fan of the Prequel Trilogy or not, one thing you like to see is any connection to the Original Trilogy. The conclusion of Revenge Of The Sith was sensory overload with quick but powerful images that tied the film to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.... (read the full review)
