It's an Easter miracle! Actually, it's quite a conundrum! There's more than meets the eye than what you see in the thumbnail below, so be sure to be a nosy JTA reader and click through to see what I found today!

OK, I feel this one warrants an entry into the collectors' record books. I stopped [randomly] at the Walmart in Bristol, PA and came across a most peculiar find. On The Vintage Collection pegs was hanging a complete mint case of wave 1. Yes, now "rare" figures like C-3PO, AT-AT Commander and Boba Fett were just hanging their begging to be bought, so I took them up on their offer.

There are two interesting things happening here. First, not all of the figures scanned at the price checker, but the ones that did were $4 each. Darth Vader, 4-LOM, Could Car Pilot, Dengar and a few other still "rang up" but the others said "see associate". Well prepared, I explained to the cashier that some of these were so old that they wouldn't be recognized in the system, which is completely the case. So, I got all 11 figures from wave 1 for $4.00 each. Amazing!

The second thing that perplexes me is that the Boba Fett figure was the revised version (with new paint applications). Unless I am completely mistaken here, this version of Boba Fett did not reach retail until the third Return Of The Jedi wave in about November 2010, well after wave 1 stopped shipping. So how could this version of Boba Fett reach a wave 1 case assortment? I don't know, but I find it completely odd and borderline eerie. Is this a well-executed return? (Doubtful, these cards are cherry mint). Or did this Boba Fett variation change sooner than most of us realized? Again, I don't know. It was however quite a find to say the least! And what a deal!

If I am wrong, please refresh my memory in our comments module below! If this is simply proof of how screwed up Walmart's distribution center is, I will easily believe that too!
