JTA spoke with Walmart management about a few things, but in particular, we wanted to know when and how the Star Wars aisle will be changing for the Fall. They expressed to us that a reset is happening on or about August 8th (which is this Monday) (don't distress if it's a week after this - all stores have different priorities and internal schedules) and will include an endcap full of "new" merchandise. While we tried to pull out specifics out of them of what constitutes new product, they really were unable to state specifics about what the product exactly is. A few exclusives are due out from Walmart now, maybe it's that stuff?

They also explained to us that Hasbro reps that normally visit the store will be "re-organizing" the shelves and changing overall product placement. Whether this means that they will be pulling off the peg warmers or just organizing them neatly on the shelf is unknown, but we are hopeful that good change is in the air. With the recent TARGET reset, it onlt makes sense that Walmart would be trying to play catch-up with their biggest competitor. And hopefully this coupled with Hasbro's new philosophy on case assortments (cough, cough) will benefits collectors like never before!
