This Father's Day, don't give dad a boring necktie.  Give him what he really wants – a Boba Fett lapel pin!

First announced during Memorial Day weekend, the Washington DC Metro Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC) announces their third bi-annual charity lapel pin is still available, but in dwindling numbers.

The 2008 pin features animated Boba Fett with DCSWCC's signature Washington Monument as his rocket, in honor of the 30th anniversary of his appearance in The Star Wars Holiday Special.  Third in DCSWCC's series of high-quality cloisonne lapel pins, officially sanctioned by Lucasfilm Ltd., each pin is individually stamped and numbered on the back.  Only 1000 will ever be made.

All proceeds from the sales of this pin benefit the Aluminum Cans for Burned Children Program, whose mission is to prevent burns and improve the quality of life for young burn survivors and their families in the Mid-Atlantic region.  ACBC provides funding for research, annual therapeutic residential burn camps, and other year-round activities that support their physical, psychological, and social needs.  For more information about ACBC, visit their website at http://acbcprogram.org

DCSWCC has a rich history of supporting children's charities in the Washington DC region.  Their previous charity pins featured Yoda and Chewbacca, and netted almost $10,000 for DC Children's Hospital and The Children's Inn at NIH.
