     They're here! The success of the DC Star Wars Collecting Club's first charity pin sale, the Yoda pin in 2004, has spawned another pin-for-charity drive. This year's pin , authorized by Lucasfilm, features Chewbacca hanging off the Washington Monument clutching a captured TIE fighter as two more hover in the background. 100% of the profits will be donated to the Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Chewbacca Kong Pin


     This 'Chewbacca Kong' pin is approximately 1 3/4" high and displays the DCSWCC logo at the bottom. Two clasps on the back ensure a secure hold. Only 1000 have been made, $10 each (includes shipping), limit 5 per customer.
     The Mission Statement for The Children's Inn at NIH, as posted on their homepage:
     "The Children's Inn at NIH is a private, non-profit, family-centered residence for pediatric outpatients at the National Institutes of Health and for their families. Its purposes are to keep children together with their families during serious illness, reduce their stress and facilitate their healing through mutual support."
