Make The Old Exciting And New For The Return Of The Vintage Collection

Topic: Hasbro

So far we have: revived ourselves from fainting over The Vintage Collection's return, thanked Hasbro, and then offered suggestions to them about what repacks we want to see next Spring. (I am working on tabulating all that soon.) So now we want to do something else. Please suggest great figure ideas (that would fall under Adam Pawlus' "different enough to make you mad" category) – or perhaps better described as a "Repack and Repaint" wave (hold the repacks here/add more repaints). What do we mean specifically? Glad you asked. IF YOU'RE A CUSTOMIZER, WE REALLY NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE. (more....)

Remember these brilliant waves?

The Legacy Collection wave 3

30 (77-07) wave 9

The figures in these waves utilize no new tooling at all, yet they gave collectors all-new characters never before offered in the line, and/or updated figures that desperately needed it with amazing paint operations. Rehashes are definitely going to be part of The Vintage Collection, so we should make suggestions on how Hasbro can save major dollars with tooling while still giving us something new to buy. It's simple to instead just repaint their catalogue of awesome existing sculpts to bring us new action figures.

Some of my suggestions?

Remember 2013's Star Wars [Darth Vader/Revenge Of The Sith] Battle of Geonosis: Jedi Knights Toys R Us exclusives? These two four-pack sets came with Clone Commander Ponds and Clone Captain Deviss respectively. Sadly, something got screwd up last minute with them. They were supposed to come with the 2011 TVC Clone Trooper (VC45) bodies, but Hasbro instead added the old 2003 CW Clone Trooper ('03 #50) sculpt instead. To date we have received the Clone Trooper Lieutenant in The Vintage Collection and the Clone Trooper Sergeant in The Black Series [Phase I] lines, but we still need the Clone Trooper Captain and Clone Trooper Commander that utilize the VC45 tooling. This is a no-brainer Hasbro and won't cost you a thing.

I also would like to see the cancelled A-wing Pilot, R8-B7 and R5-X2 all released from the cancelled Legacy Collection [2] line. I am banking on Hasbro finally getting out the unreleased Captain Rex too, but let me request him again in case that black book of theirs isn't readily available.

Finally, I would LOVE to see the unreleased Utai from the red Legacy Collection finally see the light of day. It was meant to be a running change in 2009/2010, but it never came to pass. It looks awesome too.

It would also be justice to repack the Hoth Rebel Trooper (running change) that was part of the 2010 Star Wars [Shadow Of The Darkside] TARGET exclusive multipacks since that brilliant and stunning figure was never released on a basic card to date. It's addition to The Vintage Collection would be divine!

I also want that speckled Ewok that never made it into the TVC Kmart exclusive.

So now I ask YOU:

What easy repaints can Hasbro do to give the super-articulated 3.75" basic figure more diversity and incredible additions? Beedo? Coleman Kcaj? Cloud City Wing Guard (with another existing figure's head)?

Customizers who have great experience with this please add your own two cents.
