Join JTA as we count down to the premiere of Roge One: A Star Wars Story. Every day we'll be spotlighting a character from the new film. Today is Bodhi Rook.

Profile:
Bodhi Rook was a human male from Jedha who served as a pilot in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. He fought alongside a group of rebels during a mission to steal the plans to the first Death Star.

Production Quotes:
“Bodhi is a cargo pilot. In our world, Bodhi would be a truck driver. A long-distance truck driver. A character like Bodhi is not born into the life of a soldier. He’s a pilot working for the Empire, doing his job, getting on with it. But when you put ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, it can freak them out. It can inspire deep passions. So I’m gonna defend Bodhi.” - Riz Ahmed

Regarding the Imperial Patch Bodi wears: “That sprocket gear is actually symbolic. Bodhi is just a cog in the Imperial machine. He isn’t an ace dogfighter who knocked Rebel rivals out of the stratosphere; he’s just a pilot who kept Palpatine’s forces supplied.” - Riz Ahmed
