More Shipping/Port Issues - Hanjin Collapse Could Affect Expected Products

Although the news is out in the "real world," we've been reluctant to post this development because of the reactions to past similar articles we posted, like when we "unnecessarily panicked the Star Wars collecting community and made a story out of nothing" regarding the launch of Rebels wave 1 figures (also known as Rebelsgate). That was a direct quote on our Twitter page by the way. Spoiler alert: the Rebels wave 1 stuff, aside from a few initial shipments, never came. Now a new shipping dilemma has arisen it seems, just in time for the launch of Rogue Friday (hopefully most of the products are currently in back rooms – but who knows how it wil affect future waves if at all). Hanjin Shipping, a commercial shipping/freighter source from Asia (Korea) that the US relies on, has gone belly up. Not only has their services ceased, but their shipments including food and other commodities are just floating on the water and blocking other incoming freighters from entering the ports in the USA. While they are sourced from Korea, they are adding a crazy bottleneck for other vendors' goods. Could we see a repeat of Rebelsgate? Whats more, experts are assuming this will have a major impact on the cost of the those goods we seek. Reuters has the full story.
