Canceled TBS [P1] Republic Trooper (The Old Republic) Card Back Revealed!

Topic: Hasbro

Here is a pretty neat post! If you recall, back on January 22, 2014, JTA posted a rumor report of the figures that would make up wave 4 and wave 5 of The Black Series [Phase I] lineup. Curiously, multiple The Vintage Collection repacks were part of these assortments, but some ultimately never got released; including Republic Trooper and AT-RT Driver. Since then, loose promotional images have surfaced proving that they were planned, but no packaging ever reared its ugly head. Through some inexplicable search, JTA reader Mauricio M. directed our attention to this link of an image of the Republic Trooper TBS card back art in the middle of Hasbro's Play-Doh page. This is as big as the image gets, but at least conclusive proof now exists that this was to be the #31st figure in the lineup. If you look carefully, this image shows a card back that hasn't even been die cut yet. Maybe these figures are locked in a warehouse somewhere and will be released two years later too! (We kid!) Seriously though, hopefully Hasbro will do right by collectors and get this figure out for us once and for all! Click through for the text on the product page. (We saved the image and text here in case Hasbro gets wind of this and decides to take the page down.)
