For Kids Or Collectors? Hasbro Must Take Note!

As someone who possesses not a single strand of interest in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I have to tell you that I have been severely tempted to buy a few of this line's products just for the sheer awesomeness of them. As if the TMNT playset wasn't enough with its multiple levels and oh-so-cool dumpster, I can't deny how unbelievably well-made the figures are too. Then I came to THIS ITEM. I held it in my hands for about 3 minutes until my Star Wars focus took control and said "Paul, put it back." Who is this toy being made for? Kids or adults? Do you think any kid even CARES about the years 1984 or 1988? So I dare anyone to say kids. Of course kids WILL WANT it, but this has been designed with the collector in mind first. The makers of TMNT (Playmates) did this so they can continue to HOLD ONTO the collecting audience they already have. Sure, it's great if the TMNT line picks up new collectors (which it is at a feverish pace), but at least this line knows who has the money and interest first and foremost. And what quality figures these are. Hasbro needs to take note.
