UPDATE: Hasbro Fixes The Black Series Starkiller Deco

Topic: Hasbro

At the Hasbro Preview Party in October, JTA showed Hasbro THIS IMAGE (in addition to the Malgus comparison too) in our RDRs as heavy duty proof that paint operations are NOT where they should be in a collectors' line. Looking concerned, Hasbro expressed to us that they agreed and duly noted to look into this. And it looks like they have. JTA reader Shavdran I. sends us proof that The Black Series Starkiller reissue is looking better than ever. his Vulcan "angry eyes" are now gone and he looks VERY MUCH like The Vintage Collection version. Click the thumbnail for a larger image and click through for his story. We would like to think we had something to do with this enhancement, but you never know.... :)

UPDATE: FULL SIZE IMAGES NOW ADDED! Both figures sport a 42161 date stamp which should prove to us all once again that date stamps don't mean a hill of beans anymore like they used to.... This sample came from Malaysia so it may take time before we see them hit the USA.

Hey folks. Not sure who I'm addressing here. Paul?

Anyhooooo

I think I may have come across a variant in starkiller paint application, particularly his face. I've attached a photo which shows that the left Starkiller has a calm face whilst the one on the right looks considerably more angry with his eyebrows tilted higher.

I've no idea if this was a running variant from the TVC line or if its just for these repaints for TBS. Maybe it's just my imagination or faulty paint apps, but through closer examination, that really doesn't seem to be the case.

What do you think? :)
