This afternoon I had some time to kill before a 4:30 screening of Guardians of the Galaxy, so I went to the Target next to the theater. I thought I might get lucky and find a Black Series Speederbike & Scout. When I got to the figure isle, they had completed the reset, but the areas where the Jabba & Speeder Bike go were empty. I asked an employee to check if there were any more in stock. He scanned the DCPI code and informed me there were none in stock and that they haven’t received them yet. I thanked him, then left for my movie.

After the film, I remembered I wanted to pick up something from Target before going home. Just out of curiosity, I glanced at the figure isle, and there was Jabba and a Speederbike! I was just told 3 hours ago they never received them!

After purchasing the Speederbike, I pulled a manager aside and asked how was it that just nearly 3 hours ago, someone told me you never received them, yet here it is. She suggested it could have been a return. I asked her to scan the code right there on the box to see how many were in stock. The system showed 4 more in stock.

It wouldn’t surprise me if these are being stashed or held by employees for “profit sharing” scalpers.
