Are you unhappy with the really bad paint jobs on the Mission Series and Saga Legends figures? JTA reader Travis L. has been unhappy too. But he wasn't defeated by them. He made them better. Click through to see what he did.

I've been doing some "arts and crafts" projects. With some paint and some patience, I've made some significant improvements to a few Saga Legends figures.

The Darth Maul figure is actually a combination of parts including the head from Movie Heroes MH15 Darth Maul, the arms of Clone Wars Anakin (Space Gear), the torso from the Mission Series Darth Maul, the upper legs of the ROTJ-style Boba Fett, and the lower legs of LC BAD HK-50. His lightsaber is a custom job as is the Darksaber (it's a sword from a GI Joe that I trimmed and repainted). It's not by any means the ideal version, but it will suffice. There is actually an excellently done custom articulated Mission Series Maul on eBay, however I don't feel it's worth the asking price of $45.00.
