Hi Paul and JTA readers,

SarlaacSurvivor here.

Thought i'd share a find from the wild! Whilst doing the mundane run for household cleaning supplies today at a store called The Range, i stumbled upon a sight for sore eyes.

Usually i check the small toy aisle whenever i go to this particular store and normally am greeted with a small range of general pocket money toys for kids (plus a load of cool Hot Wheels die-casts!). But today was different, today i left with a smile on my face! Lo and behold, i was greeted with Vintage Collection figures and Green movie heroes! £6.99 each, now i'm a guy who'll still happily pay full retail for VC figures, so that price is great! Especially if i find some figures i missed first time round, which is most of them! Now i know the movie heroes aren't seeing US distribution, which is a huge pain for you guys and gals, so don't want to rub salt into your wounds. But to be honest, they seem to have only a very limited run here, and are always straight on clearance. Almost as though the stores don't want them here either!

They had a full wave of movie heroes, i picked up a Jango Fett and Light up Sandtrooper (just for kicks). The VC figures were intriguing though and a welcome surprise, as they have all but vanished here now (other then the universal peg warmers). They were on US cards, and they seemed to be from a random selection of waves. This i thought was a good sign, as who knows what may turn up when they receive more from their supplier! Maybe the Ponda Baba wave ;) Currently they only had Luke Hoth, Wedge Antilles, Qui Gon, Darth Maul and Dr Evazan on the peg, and no more out back. Have all those so left them for the next lucky collector. But what was also very interesting is that when i spoke to a very helpful employee, he informed me that the Vintage figures were to be and ongoing line and actively shipping to them until March 2014!! So with any luck, we'll be seeing all of those endless cases that never made it to retail! Happy collecting people!

All the best,
Mark (SarlaacSurvivor)
