Q: In the Geonosis Jedi Knights review you state that Khaat utilizes the upper half of Stass Allie and the legs of Jaina Solo. But aren't Jaina's legs just reused from Stass? Isn't it confusing? Wouldn't it be more expedient to say Khaat is a repaint of Stass with a new head? Just cut out the middle-man Jaina? What do you think?! (Trent B.)

A: It's definitely anal-retentive but it's correct. The date stamp on Khaat's legs says 2009. Jaina Solo is the only action figure that has the 2009 date stamp (using Stass Allie's legs). It's sort of like the TK-421 Stormtrooper. Isn't that the 2004 VOTC Stormtrooper sculpt? Yes, but no. The 2006 TSC Shadow Stormtrooper has the 2005 date stamp on it, not the VOTC figure. That is why we referred to that figure as the base figure. I am going to be precise as possible wherever possible. It makes up for when I do goof.

You may also be interested to know that Stass Allie doesn't even have a date stamp on her legs, it's underneath her skirt. This also shows that the only place Hasbro could have gotten Khaat's legs from was Jaina Solo. I hope that helps understand our perspective on how we approach figure recipes.
