Welcome to our next Q and A of the Day post! This column will be published daily, weekly, monthly, or just based on how many questions I get emailed – but no more than one a day. Feel free to send in your questions and I will put them in the queue. Click through for Q and A of the Day: Day 15.

Q: So is the "best" Stormtrooper still (or now) TVC #41 (the corrected version or the one on a JEDI card)? The Black Series one looks horrible. I have cancelled any pre-orders I had for it.? (Allen S.)

A: This is a slightly tough call Allen. In my opinion, yes, the best version of the classic Stormtrooper for me is indeed 2011's TVC Stormtrooper (VC41), although, until they incorporate a non-removable helmet to this sculpt I will not be a happy camper. It seems like it would such a simple thing to retool so why they haven't done this yet escapes me. Please allow me to qualify that I prefer the second version/running change with the revised helmet and added deco, so please make sure you note this when looking for your sample. Some may beg to differ with my choice on the best Stormtrooper, but for me my Stormtrooper MUST have ball-jointed hips in order for me to be happy with it. It's essential and not optional. I loathe the 2004 VOTC Stormtrooper sculpt. He might as well be a statue from the waist down. I did have very high hopes for the new The Black Series Stormtrooper (#13), so color me borderline depressed. I don't know why Hasbro has such difficulty with core characters that collectors are expecting definitive updates for in their collections. Maybe next time Hasbro will get it right. Maybe.
