JTA favorite Rum Sleg gives us a story that will surely make the record books. Retailer Toys R Us, desperate to salvage their bottom line, has done a seemingly unprecedented resolution to handle the unacceptable separating card backs issue of The Black Series line. Click through for this shocking head scratcher.

Paul,

On my lunch break today, I came across a new retailer fix to the issue of Black Series figures falling off their cards that I hadn't seen before. Toys R Us in Times Square has a couple figures hanging on the pegs, missing their cardbacks, that have been shrinkwrapped. (See attached pic.) The figures were also marked down from $9.99 to $6.90, which I think was a good common sense move on the store's part.

At the checkout counter, I also caught sight of a Padme figure that had fallen off its card. So maybe that one will be shrinkwrapped and marked down for tomorrow. As a non-carded collector, I'm suddenly seeing an upside to this quality control issue. If I could snag all of Wave 2 shrinkwrapped at ~30% off, I'd take that deal in a second! :) I'm also now a little disappointed that I paid $9.99 for Biggs and the Clone Pilot last month.

Anyway, just thought you might be interested in this picture since you have been posting similar ones on JTA over the past few weeks.

Best,
Matt (RumSleg)
