Déjà Vu! More Hasbro Card Back Separations!

It's a complete and utter disaster. I personally noticed that the Saga Legends bubbles weren't as tightly fastened to the card backs either, just not to this extent. But JTA reader Kai from Germany has some detailed images to share that the same thing is happening to this line as well. Click through for more.

Dear JTA staff,

I had been following Your coverage of The Black Series figures detaching themselves from their card backs. I was under the impression that other product lines of the Star Wars brand had not been affected yet — if I didn’t miss anything. However, when buying my first two new Saga Legends figures this morning at a GALERIA Kaufhof department store in Münster, Germany, I learned that I was wrong!

When unpacking Anakin Skywalker (SL 03), I noticed that either Hasbro or GALERIA staff had used adhesive tape (two stripes on each side) to secure the bubble on the card back. When turning my attention to R4-P17 (SL 06), I noticed that its bubble was attached to the card back only in a small spot to the upper left — he was basically in the process of detaching himself. He had not received any adhesive tape treatment. It seems that the bubble was originally glued to the card in just three tiny spots — and maybe a little (hardly veerifiable) on the rim of the bubble.

What a mess!

I also found it noteworthy that in Germany, those supposedly low-cost Saga Legends figures cost as much as their Vintage Collection counterparts — EUR 12.99 …

Kind regards,
Kai M.
