A Sarcastic Look At The Rebirth Of Saga Legends

There are still no American pre-orders to be had yet, but let's take a quick look at what is coming to the newly revitalized (and dumbed-down) Saga Legends line. Click through for more....

It's the same old figures we have seen every year since 2005. The only difference now? The "action" figures are all new sculpts (way to waste that very tight tooling budget, Hasbro) and they now sport a mere five points of articulation. Whether this is Hasbro's way of bowing out of the Star Wars line entirely or they're just braindead with exhaustion, do we really ever need to see most of these characters again, with a fraction of the articulation no less? All of these characters can be found on eBay right at this moment. And many can be bought for a fraction of the cost (and don't forget with a lot more articulation and more dynamic sculpts). Unless you're loving the throwback to the late seventies and eighties as far as the articulation is concerned, this may be a line that you can ultimately pass.

Oh, let's just look at those case ratios too! Yay! Double up on those Anakins and Obi-Wans!

1x 01 Mace Windu (Episode III)
1x 02 Clone Trooper (Episode II)
2x 03 Anakin Skywalker (Episode III)
2x 04 Obi-Wan Kenobi (Episode III)
1x 05 Super Battle Droid (Episode II)
2x 06 R4-P17 (Episode III)
1x 07 Yoda (Episode III)
2x 08 Clone Shock Trooper (Episode III)
