Oh boy! Here are a couple for the record books! We have two (2) instances of theft reported by two separate readers, both interestingly from the Empire State of New York. Click through for a breakdown of what people are getting away with because it's egregious at best.

QUESTION:

Hey Paul,

I found these two packs at Target this morning and was wondering if these have been found in-stores yet. I don't recall ever seeing these last year. I found two different variations of Palentine. One normal face, and one sith face. They rang up for $14.99, which was disappointing considering Target has put many items on clearance.

ANSWER:

No. This is theft. The package on the right had the unique Emperor Palpatine removed and replaced with 2012's TVC Darth Sidious figure (most likely found for pennies on the dollar).

QUESTION:

Hi there,

I came across this in my local Toys R Us in NY yesterday. I'm not a huge collector anymore but I knew from buying the figure for my kids that this one was different. I immediately noted she had no robe. I've also come to realize the accessories are different too (pink light saber blade and a darker handle on the little one)

To my surprise I can't find anything on the internet about a variant on this figure. Have you come across this before?

Thank you for your time,
D

ANSWER:

The TVC Aayla Secura figure has been stolen from the packaging and replaced with The Clone Wars version of Aayla Secura. The "funny" thing is that if Aayla Secura never got rereleased in The Clone Wars line, this would have actually been a steal. I am not exactly sure whose pink lightsaber that is off the top of my head, but it definitely isn't Aayla's.

Please report instances of theft to store managers. Thank you!
