I still have no power at home, but I have great WiFi in a swing office at work, so I am going to try to post some stuff. JTA helper Chad Cobain writes in with a marvelous find at Fred Meyer, if you're fortunate enough to have this chain near you! Definitely check out his report!

Hey Paul,

Although this news will most definitely be eclipsed by the incredible announcement [yesterday], I figured I'd send along some pictures nonetheless.

Fred Meyer is a retail chain in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. Great place to go on Star Wars runs since most collectors don't think of them as a toy retailer. I come across some great finds there every once in a while. I found the VC AOTC wave here about seven months after their release, having never seen them in the wild before.

Anyway...took a trip to one on my lunch break this afternoon and found what seemed to be exactly what my collection was missing: VC Imperial Navy Commander (I now have no holes in my VC collection!), CW Boss, ScubAhsoka, Wolf, Fox, and the Dropship mini-rig. Plus, everything was on sale. Including the MTT!

Even with the discounted price tag, I passed because, well, I just don't care about it. Come on Hasbro, give me a BMF ship that I care about, like say, a Sail Barge (yes, I've signed the petition!).

One more interesting thing about Fred Meyer:

There are a lot of them here in the Seattle area and no matter which one I go to, the Clone Wars, Saga Legends, and VC figures are ALWAYS separated on the pegs. They are never mixed together on a peg. I've never once seen that at the big three retailers. Quite an anomaly.

Here's to 2015!!!
