Research Droids Reviews: November 16, 2011 – November 22, 2011

Princess Leia/Darth Vader - TAC - Comic Packs (No. 09)
The Star Wars: Infinities comics were embraced tightly by fans of the Expanded Universe. And even hardcore “movie only” fans couldn’t deny how cool some of the stories were. The theme of this comic series was based on a “what if.... “ perspective where one event transpires differently from what we are familiar with in the films.... (read the full review)

Baron Fel/Hobbie Klivian - TAC - Comic Packs (No. 12)
There were multiple multimedia events in the Expanded Universe in 1996. Overshadowed by Shadows Of The Empire, no pun intended, The Star Wars: X-wing Rogue Squadron introduced Star Wars fans to some brand new characters as well as reintroducing those that we were already familiar with from the films.... Koffi Arana/Bultar Swan - TAC - Comic Packs (No. 13)
Star Wars fans were eager when they heard the announcement of the Star Wars: Purge comics. After Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith was released, we all were hankering for more and desperately wanted to see Darth Vader kick some major galactic butt in his iron lung outfit. Mouse In Disguise/Basso In Disguise - TAC - Comic Packs (No. 15)
How many of us have fantasized about seeing every species from the Star Wars universe in stormtrooper disguise? And what the heck is our obsession as collectors with figures in various disguises? Hasbro know that we throw our pennies towards action figures of this nature, so they took it upon themselves to develop and awesome Comic Packs set that includes both Mouse and Basso in various stormtrooper disguises.... Clone Commando/Super Battle Droid - TAC - Comic Packs (No. 16)
While the first 20 comics from the Star Wars Tales series were non-canon (most of them made up the Star Wars: Infinities series), issue #21 took a sharp left turn and brought Star Wars Tales back in canon much to the satisfaction of Expanded Universe fans. Star Wars Tales #22 was released shortly before Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith was released in theaters and focused on some events transpiring during the Clone Wars....
