Legacy Collection & Clone Wars Cardback Change

Posted by Chuck | December 11, 2008 at 03:12 PM ET

Eagle-eyed collectors have likely noticed by now the minor running change Hasbro made to the cardbacks of the Legacy Collection basic figures, Saga Legends, and The Clone Wars. If you don't know what I'm talking about, or want to see some detailed comparisons and breakdowns, then read on!

The 2008 figures (both Legacy Collection and Clone Wars) started off with the lens of the clone trooper/stormtrooper being black or dark blue. Wave 2 from each series seems to be the transition wave. Sometime during the 2nd wave of each series, the lens colors were all changed to a brighter blue. Here's what you can expect from each series:

The Legacy Collection basic figures
Wave 1 & 2 can be found with the black visor
Wave 1–present can be found with the updated blue visor

The Legacy Collection Saga Legends
Wave 1 & 2 can be found with both the black & blue visor

The Clone Wars basic figures
Wave 1 & 2 can be found with the black visor
Wave 1–present can be found with the updated blue visor

Our Visual Guides are in the process of being updated to reflect this cardback variation.
