Legacy Collection [2] Crash Course: What You Need To Know

Posted by Paul | May 19, 2015 at 08:17 AM ET

Apparently there are questions with some collectors not in the “know” about what differences exist between the Amazon.com Droid Factory exclusive and the Legacy Collection [2] basic figures being found currently at Go! Games & Toys. We have outlined what you should know in an easy and quick article. Click through for more information and comparison pictures..

Legacy Collection [2]

We addressed this topic over a year ago, but now that these figures are hitting retail, we thought it would be a great time for a refresher crash course. The Amazon.com Droid Factory set contains five exclusively packaged version of five figures meant to originally be part of Legacy Collection [2]. The sixth figure, FA-4 was promoted from Build A Droid to basic figure in this exclusive multipack. All figures contain a unique Droid Factory part to build a realistic version of TC-70 (Jabba The Hutt’s Protocol Droid).

The five figures that were exclusively packaged for this set (that were originally LC2) include 212th Battalion Clone Trooper, Battle Droid, Sandtrooper [Corporal], Sun Fac and a renamed Black Squadron TIE Fighter Pilot (who is called simply TIE Fighter Pilot) in Legacy Collection [2]. Each contains a different Droid Factory part when part of Legacy Collection [2] than they received in the Amazon.com exclusive multipack.

Seven (7) figures that were ultimately released in waves 1 and 2 of The Black Series line had originally been planned for the very first wave of Legacy Collection [2]. These include Pablo-Jill with FA-4 (Count Dooku’s Pilot Droid) left arm, Luminara Unduli with FA-4 (Count Dooku’s Pilot Droid) right arm, Biker Scout with TC-70 (Jabba The Hutt’s Protocol Droid) head, Padme Amidala with TC-70 (Jabba The Hutt’s Protocol Droid) body, R2-D2 with TC-70 (Jabba The Hutt’s Protocol Droid) left arm, Anakin Skywalker with TC-70 (Jabba The Hutt’s Protocol Droid) right arm and Clone Trooper Sergeant with TC-70 (Jabba The Hutt’s Protocol Droid) left leg. Remaining Droid Factory parts were split against the figures that made it into the Amazon.com Droid Factory exclusive.

The packaging is different as well. The warning sticker areas are different between the two versions, the Amazon.com figures do not have UPCs and the bubbles have different shapes. (See comparison photos for more.) There is no way any collector should not be able to tell these apart.

This should hopefully answer all of your questions. Please let us know if you do have any more questions however.
