Posted by Paul | April 13, 2014 at 08:10 PM ET

It's been a while, but Mats from Sweden has another incredible tale to tell in Sweden. Can you imagine finding MULTIPLE TVC Emperor's Royal Guards at your local Toys R Us even today? More big fish tales like this await you so click through for more!! And Mats, JTA is so sorry for your loss. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Hello boys and girls of JTA!

This store report is a little old and I know it´s been a while since I posted either a store report or on the site. But my mother has been very sick and has been at the hospital since august last year. Sadly she passed away this Wednesday so it will be awhile before I start posting like before, I just had to share this report with you all. And before we continue I will post a comment and the people that want to show their respect can vote up instead of filling this entire thread with condolences. Don´t forget that we talks toys here ;)

So my story begins on Sunday 23/3 when I went to my local TRU to have a look at what they had. I had gotten word from my contact at TRU that they were having a 25% off sale the following Saturday on everything in the store. What a good time to make some nice finds and to put that stuff away for the upcoming sale. I had already 3 items on hold for me, 1 Darth Plaguies, 1 MTT Droidfighter and 1 Sith Infiltrator. Both ships had been marked down to 100 SEK and I thought that was a bargain for them not to mention that I got first pick because my contact sent me pics on Facebook asking if I wanted some old stuff she put on clearance. She had also told me that she had gotten a lot of SW toys because of a store in the same town closing down and I thought there might be some cool stuff there. When at TRU I went to the SW pegs and had a quick look and found 2 ERG´s hanging there. I took them with me and went out back to their backroom with my contact to look through all the stuff she had in the back. She showed me the SW shelf, the SW toys from that other store and then she left me alone in the back while she went back out to the store. Felt a little odd to be there alone but I got to work. Had a quick look around and found 1 more ERG back there but sadly nothing more worth having. With my stuff on hold I went back home and would not be back until Saturday 29/3 to buy my stuff. I did however bring home a very cool General Grievous LEGO display that I got so it was a good day.

On Saturday 29/3 I went back to TRU and picked up my stuff and got 25% off them. I had a gift card that I got from my grandparents for my birthday so I didn´t spent much real money on these toys. But there was a problem at checkout that I didn´t notice until I were on my way back home. I was not supposed to get 25% on the 2 ships for 100 SEK each but the girl at checkout said that since I shop there so much she would give it to me. Score! Unfortunately my contact hadn´t registered the markdown on the bar-codes so I paid full price for those items (minus 25% of course). When I got home I sent my contact a PM on Facebook telling her of the error. She said that she would fix it for me the next time I visit.

I will this coming Wednesday visit TRU as they have 25% off on everything Spiderman and Star Wars and will get my refund for the error as I paid 316 SEK to much. I will use this money to buy a Vintage TIE Interceptor that they have on sale for 50% off. Add to that the extra 25% off and I will only pay 40 SEK (5,71 USD) for that bad boy. That has to be the score of the year. Here´s the math on that: 949 minus 50% off = 474,5 minus 25% =355,88 minus 316 = 39,88 SEK

Pics from this report are taken in TRU backroom by both my contact and myself. Also adding a pic o that Grievous display.

PS I did get 1 Navy Commander and 1 ERG for Christmas from my grandparents ;)

Take care everyone and I will post as soon as I have the time and energy.

Best regards

Mats aka ERG 19
