Our Final Recap

4-LOM - Jumbo Vintage Kenner Figures
Hasbro’s The Vintage Collection finally corrected the long-running, almost urban legend quality, issue of the 4-LOM/Zuckuss name switch error. Sure, Hasbro has released multiple versions of 4-LOM throughout the neo-classic era over the years (even as far back as 1997), but it wasn’t until 2010 that a replica of the figure’s original artwork was created with the accurate name.... Yoda (Holiday Edition) - Jumbo Vintage Kenner Figures
Christmas comes a bit early this year in more ways than one with the Premier Guild Exclusive Jumbo Vintage Kenner Holiday Yoda figure. Not only is the figure itself a memento for the holiday Christmas season, Yoda comes with a few gifts of his own as a special treat to faithful supporters of the line.... (read the full review)

Teemto Pagalies (Pod Racer) - SW [S - P1] - Basic (’02 #46)
If there was one thing that most collectors could cohesively agree upon as far as the Episode I line was concerned (who were fans of Episode I at least), was that Hasbro didn’t produce nearly enough podracing pilots. it’s not that we had vehicles waiting for them, but it seemed that there were a plethora of these aliens and many of us wanted to see Hasbro beat them out briskly into the 3.75” basic figure line.... (read the full review)

Count Dooku (Dark Lord) - SW [S - P1] - Basic (’02 #27)
Count Dooku ended up being the villain in Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones. Some Star Wars fans found it preposterous that an old man was the replacement for the ultra cool Darth Maul, but many others found the new Darth Tyranus an ominous threat to the Jedi Order, especially with his Grand Moff Tarkin like similarities and cool scimitar-handled lightsaber hilt.... (read the full review)

Luke Skywalker (Bespin Duel) - SW [S - P1] - Basic (’02 #29)
Original Trilogy purists sweated out 28 basic figures before Hasbro delved into the first three Star Wars films in the Star Wars “Saga” line. To our elation, they brought forth a new take on the 1980 Luke Skywalker (Bespin Fatigues) figure.... (read the full review)

Darth Vader (Bespin Duel) - SW [S - P1] - Basic (’02 #30)
There are a lot of issues with Hasbro’s 2002 Star Wars “Saga” Darth Vader (Bespin Duel) action figure. Its biggest issue is that this version of Darth Vader is based on his appearance from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and not Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.... (read the full review)

Holiday Edition [R2-D2 & C-3PO] - SW [S - P1] - Exclusive
In the Fall of 2002, Hasbro took a leap of faith right before the holiday season and released their very first Holiday Edition commemorative set of action figures. Officially called Holiday Edition, there was no reference on the packaging that identified the characters inside (R2-D2 & C-3PO).... (read the full review)

Holiday Edition [Yoda] (2nd Edition) - SW [S - P3] - Exclusive
With the success of 2002’s Star Wars “Saga” Holiday Edition [R2-D2 & C-3PO] Walmart exclusive two-pack, Hasbro felt it best to ensure they had a similar product in the works for 2003. Reserved for the Star Wars Fan Club this time, collector can warmly welcome Holiday Edition [Yoda] (2nd Edition) into their collections.... (read the full review)

Lott Dod (Neimoidian Senator) - SW [S - P1] - Basic (’02 #51)
The Neimoidian species appears to be an alien type that Star Wars fans are enjoying, but Hasbro has been slightly timid about releasing them in the basic figure line up. In 1999, we received two in the Episode I line which was great, but as of 2002, which happened to be the first year of the Star Wars “Saga” line, only one more was released.... Chewbacca (Cloud City Capture) - SW [S - P1] - Basic (’02 #38)
When you have a Star Wars character that doesn’t wear any clothes, it’s a bit difficult to keep releasing multiple of versions of him or her throughout the long-running Star Wars line. Thankfully, Hasbro has used their toy making ability to the fullest and have brought us nearly countless amounts of unique Chewbacca action figures throughout the years.... (read the full review)

Chewbacca - Premium Format Figures
If there was one character that Sideshow Collectibles has avoided like the plague to produce under their Star Wars license, the award would have to go to Chewbacca. While most collectors are dying to receive a stellar 1:6 Scale Figure version, other collectors have been temporarily satiated by the announcement, and now the release of Chewbacca in the Premium Format Figures line.... (read the full review)

Anakin’s Jedi Starfighter - SW [DV/ROTS] - Vehicles
In what may be one of the most controversial moves in Hasbro’s illustrious career, the mid-size vehicle assortment may never return to what it once was. Hasbro is intent on reducing the scale of these vehicle, removing features, and hollowing out as much plastic as they can in an effort to reduce cost while still bringing “quality” vehicles into the basic figure line.... (read the full review)

Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter - SW [DV/ROTS] - Vehicles
Here we go again! The controversy surrounding the new mid-size vehicle assortment is one that collectors still cannot shake. Is Hasbro really taking this line, which has roots in the vintage Kenner era, this way and giving us vehicles that just aren’t to scale with the action figures in the line any longer?.... (read the full review)

Darth Vader - SW [DV/ROTS] - 12-Inch Figures
You know something? When you’ve been with Hasbro since 1995 when the neo classic Star Wars action figure line came to be and you see them in 2013 releasing products like the 12-Inch Darth Vader figure, it makes you a little bit angry. How in the world have increased tooling, manufacturing and distribution costs brought the Star Wars line to its knees? Super-articulation for a kids’ line is unheard of now....
