Toys R Us' Wish [It Would All Go Away] Book Hits Mailboxes

The Toys R Us wishbook is arriving and JTA reader Chris was eager to let us know. He also questioned why the catalogue looks the way it does. I have to agree with him! (more....)
Hello JTA,
In the past Toys R Us has had discounts on the Trench Run pack, Rise of Boba Fett pack and the Crumb Bomber. This year we get $5 off Telepods, role-play toys and Anakin to Vader. Why not show the Republic Gunship or Bigg's X-wing? Why even bother to have anything listed at all?

This is what happens when retail is given a bridge to sell. I hope the Anakin to Vader 12" does well so hasbro can make some money, but I have to admit that the Wish Book this year is borderline depressing. And just to think three short years ago they showed off the magnificent The Rise Of Darth Vader Ultimate Battle Packs set, something to engage BOTH kids and collectors. It's the dark times folks.
