Return Of The Jedi Review In 1983 - This Is A Must Watch!

Posted by Paul | February 01, 2013 at 09:19 AM ET

Hindsight is always 20/20, but even in back in 1983, Star Wars fans would be abhorred to hear comments like "ghastly dialogue, terrible plotting, miserable characterization” and “all those special effects begin to look totally unreal" to describe a Star Wars film, let alone the groundbreaking Return Of The Jedi film. We normally don't clutter our front page with YouTube videos or the like, but we're making an exception here because this is worthwhile. You must listen to this seven minute interview with John Simon versus Siskel & Ebert in a banter that is jaw-droppingly unbelievable as much as it is humourous. We actually feel sorry for Mr. Simon as he's missed the enjoyment of these truly special films. Special thanks to JTA reader John McCartney for sending us the link!
