Research Droids Reviews: May 30, 2012 – June 5, 2012

Chewbacca - ROTS - Basic (III 5)
So, were you as disappointed with the “big” Battle of Kashyyyk as we were? Apparently there was supposed to be a grand war on Kashyyyk filmed for Revenge Of The Sith but it never came to fruition because of time constraints to fit in the most important part of the film: Anakin’s fall from grace.... (read the full review)

Tarfful - ROTS - Basic (III 25)
Tarfful is one of those Star Wars characters that has a much bigger role in the Expanded Universe than he does in the Revenge Of The Sith film. For example, did you know he was involved with a major conflict and was rescued by Delta Squad? Did you know he basically planned out the entire Battle of Kashyyyk with Luminara Unduli and Quinlan Vos? (read the full review)

Wookie Warrior - ROTS - Sneak Preview (3 of 4)
The very first Wookiee in the Revenge Of The Sith line came to us early in January 2005 as part of the eagerly anticipated Sneak Preview quartet. One of the better figures in this foursome was the Wookiee Warrior. Interestingly, this figure ended up being the best Wookiee action figure in the entire line (for multiple reasons).... Wookiee Warrior [Tan] - ROTS - Basic (III 43)
During the Revenge Of The Sith line, Hasbro just wasn’t forthcoming about running changes of figures. In particular, the Wookiee Warrior from the Revenge Of The Sith line came in two flavors at the same time: tan and brown.... (read the full review)

Wookiee Warrior [Brown] - ROTS - Basic (III 43)
What came first? The chicken or the egg? Or how about the tan Wookiee Warrior or the brown Wookiee Warrior? Evidence actually points to the fact that both the tan and brown Wookiee Warrior arrived at the same time and it just depended upon where you lived what version you saw first.... Wookiee Commando - ROTS - Basic (III 58)
Three times is apparently always the charm, right? Well, for the Wookiee Warrior sculpt, it can be said that the third attempt to utilize this sculpt (after the Wookiee Warrior [Brown] and Wookiee Warrior [Tan] versions) may have been the most beneficial for it. The kicker? The Wookiee Commando is most likely a Hasbro concept and not a character we saw in the film.... (read the full review)

Wookiee Heavy Gunner - ROTS - Basic (III 68)
Hasbro really took full advantage of the two primary “Wookiee Warrior” sculpts they created for the Revenge Of The Sith line. Both the Wookiee Warrior Sneak Preview (3 of 4) figure and the 2005 ROTS Wookiee Warrior (III 43) sculpt were utilized to make some even better Wookiee action figures at the tail end of the Revenge Of The Sith line....
