Research Droids Reviews: March 28, 2012 – April 3, 2012

Luminara Unduli - ROTS - Basic (III 31)
One of the biggest chronic problems in the Revenge Of The Sith line is the lack of outer robes (soft-goods or otherwise) for the Jedi characters. If you are wondering why so many look differently than they did in the film, it’s because they’re missing they’re outer later.... (read the full review)

Commander Gree - ROTS - Basic (III 59)
How can a figure so wrong be so right? We jokingly say this to refer to 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith Commander Gree (III 59) figure because we feel it sums up the figure quite well. On paper the figure is inaccurate in many ways. But in spirit, it seems that Hasbro tried so hard with this one to make it a good figure, that we’re giving them a free pass on all that is actually wrong with it.... (read the full review)

Obi-Wan Kenobi - ROTS - Basic (III 55)
When it came to making the definitive Revenge Of The Sith version of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hasbro certainly saved the best for last. After all of the action-feature ridden figures released throughout 2005, Hasbro released the III 55 figure and it quickly became one of the most favorite figures for collectors.... Mas Amedda - ROTS - Basic (III 40)
We may not always be thrilled with they way Hasbro approaches all of our action figures, but sometimes when a figure doesn’t come to us super-articulated we need to focus our energies on finding out why the figure ultimately refuses to be a failure (for our Star Wars collections). We’re exactly talking about Mas Amedda from Hasbro’s very proud Revenge Of The Sith line.... (read the full review)

Clone Trooper - ROTS - Basic (III 41)
Hasbro sort of made us double guess which clones actually appeared in Revenge Of The Sith because they released action figures based on clones that appeared in concept art (or were just Hasbro’s concepts) first. Interestingly there were a ton of clones that did appear in Episode II that they could have developed first.... (read the full review)

Commander Bacara - ROTS - Basic (III 49)
One of the first goals Star Wars collectors wanted to see Hasbro fulfill was the release of all the clone commanders from Revenge Of The Sith. They were good about getting one Clone Commander (III 33) figure out early in the line, but unfortunately that one was an early concept for Commander Bly and never was seen in the film.... Mustafar Sentry - ROTS - Basic (III 56)
What Star Wars film isn’t good for introducing us to a never before seen species? Some of the Star Wars films bring more than others, but Revenge Of The Sith was one that brought dome of the most unique. Computer generated imagery aided Lucas in developing characters that probably wouldn’t have seen the light of day were it during the time of the Original Trilogy.... (read the full review)
