Jedi Temple Archives Facebook Contest RECAP: See The Answers!

Posted by Paul | November 07, 2011 at 02:32 PM ET

Here is the recap of our Jedi Temple Archives Facebook Contest! We have all the answers prepared for you in a cool format so click through and see if you answered them all correctly or not! Winners will be announced shortly - maybe 1 or 2 days! Thank you for your patience!

MISSION #1

1. Click on any Research Droids Review or Research Droids Reviews index link.
2. In the search bar, type "aayla secura". (Don't type the quotation marks.) Hit enter.
3. Count how many reviews there are that are either about Aayla Secura or contain Aayla Secura and then click HERE to enter a special spot on our Facebook page. (Hint: all of the items that come up in the search are about Aayla Secura or contain Aayla Secura.)
4. Type the following sentence in the discussion box: "There are _____ Aayla Secura reviews." (In the blank make sure you put the number of reviews you found from step #3.) Hit enter to time stamp your post.

ANSWER: There are 5 Aayla Secura reviews. (For now of course. That is obviously going to change in 2012!)

MISSION #2

1. Just like Captain Rex, Captain Fordo has distinguishing marks on his phase II helmet above the visor. What are they called? (Hint: ARC-77 Wookieepedia's entry is helpful in finding out this information and it's two highlighted words in the Wookieepedia article.)
2. Once you have your answer, click HERE to post your response under MISSION #2.

ANSWER: Jaig eyes

MISSION #3

1. Go to our Navigation bar on the right side of our home page.
2. Under FEATURES, click on Special Reports.
3. Note the name of the 6th Special Report and type your answer under MISSION #3 HERE.

ANSWER: 2010: The Year We Make The Rest (We hope you read this Special Report too!)

MISSION #4

The Gamorrean Guard has ran all the way home and hid in our Visual Guides since it's lunch time and we need to feed the rancor. Rumor has it that he's hiding with one of the basic figures in The Legacy Collection/Legacy Collection Visual Guides. (This means both blue or red phases.) We can’t find him and need your help so the rancor won't eat us instead and prevent us from giving you any more MISSIONs.

1. Enter The Legacy Collection and/or Legacy Collection Visual Guides page(s) and click on each basic figure until you find the Gamorrean Guard. (NOTE: Visual Guides have multiple screens to page through.)
2. Carefully follow the directions posted next to the Gamorrean Guard once you find him. Do NOT post your answer(s) on our Facebook wall or Facebook discussions page or you will be disqualified.

NOTE: You may need THIS LINK to finish your mission.

ANSWER: BACON was the SECRET WORD. (If you rolled over all of the action figures in the red Legacy Collection Visual Guide list, a thumbnail would have popped up highlighting a shot of what's inside the Visual Guide. You would have noticed that when you reached Han Solo (BD30) that one of the images showed him with a Gamorrean Guard head. You had to also click the right arrow inside the Visual Guide to be taken to the last screen where the SECRET CODE was housed.)

MISSION #5

1. TRUE or FALSE: Bom Vimdin was a candidate in the very first Hasbro Fans' Choice Poll in 2000.
2. If TRUE, tell us the character Bom Vimdin lost out to in the first poll and place your answer HERE. If FALSE, give us a name to one other character that was in the poll and put your answer HERE. Be sure to put True or False in your answer as well as the name of the other Star Wars character.

(Hint: You can check out this link by our friends at GalacticHunter.com to successfully complete this MISSION.)

ANSWER: True - Bom Vimdin (or Bom Vimdim back then) was the last figure from the very first Fans' Choice Poll in 2000 to be made into an action figure. We're glad Hasbro waited because he's one of the greatest action figures of all time. He wouldn't have turned out nearly as good if were he designed in 2000 instead.

Bom Vimdin lost out to Duros (Ellors Madak).

MISSION #6

1. We need to know what the very last basic carded version of Han Solo in his Bespin duds was that got released directly before the now-definitive The Vintage Collection Han Solo (Bespin Outfit) (VC50) figure. (NOTE: Basic figures can be both main line and sub-line figures, just as long as they're on a basic card back. For example, for this purpose, Saga Legends releases are considered basic figures too.
2. Once you determine what it is, click HERE and post your answer under MISSION #6 on our Facebook discussions page.

(Hint: You can search "Han Solo (Bespin Outfit)" in our Research Droids Reviews and the answer will be before you.)

ANSWER: The last "basic" carded version of Han Solo (Bespin Outfit) released prior to 2011's TVC Han Solo (Bespin Outfit) (VC50) figure was 2009's Legacy Collection Saga Legends figure (SL15). While most people think this is a straight repack, that is actually erroneous because the figure is a repaint and comes with a new accessory first time packaged in a basic figure format. You'll have to check out our Research Droids Review on the figure for more information on this.

MISSION #7

1. Click on our News Archives icon.
2. Under 2009, select May.
3. Find the article that introduced readers to our Research Droids Reviews column.
4. Read the brief article and note the name of the first figure reviewed and its number (the sequential BD number Hasbro gave it) and type this information under MISSION #7 on our Facebook Discussions page.

ANSWER: Our very first review was on the 2009 TLC Ugnaught (BD 43) figure. (We are up to 900 reviews as of today's date - please kill me now.)

MISSION #8

1. Head to our Research Droids Reviews index page.
2. In the search box type "Knights Of The Old Republic" (leave out quotation marks) and hit enter. A list of reviews will appear before you alphabetically.
3. Sort list by Date (Descending - click on the "D")
4. After sorting list, click on the second review in the list and go to the second image in that review's gallery.
5. Find Bastila Shan and the directions that follow. (Advisory: Do NOT post your answer on Facebook!)

ANSWER: A search of "Knights Of The Old Republic will given you nine (9) reviews, but when you sort them by "Date Descending", the second review is Darth Revan (Mini Bust). When you click on that review and then the second image in the photo gallery, you would see this:

It's amazing how many of you feel that the Expanded Universe doesn't belong in The Vintage Collection except for Captain Fordo! I agree with you! :) (Oh wait, I made you tell me that!)

MISSION #9

1. Answer this question and type your answer under MISSION #9 on our Facebook Discussions page: What is the name of Ahsoka Tano's astromech droid?

ANSWER: R7-A7 (This was meant to be simple, but some of you made it difficult.)

MISSION #10

The Clone Pilot from the Republic Attack Shuttle is missing in action. He needs to get back to the Republic Attack Shuttle to finish the Republic's mission on Coruscant and we’re relying on you to find him to reunite him with his vehicle.

1. Go to our Star Wars Experience main menu page and click on our 2009 NY Toy Fair coverage banner. The Clone Pilot was last seen somewhere in here. Look high and low for the image of the Clone Pilot shown above in all of the different galleries and when you find it, copy and past the link of the web page (the web address in your browser) he is on into the body of an email and send it to [email protected].

The subject of the email MUST say “Clone Pilot Odd Ball Wouldn’t Have Gotten This Lost!” or your entry will be forfeited.

Do NOT post answer on our Facebook page or you will be disqualified.

Are there enough rules for you? Good luck!

ANSWER: Oh boy! It's a shame that you guys/gals didn't read the directions thoroughly enough or step by step. Half of you were searching under the wrong Toy Fair year (2011) instead of the correct 2009 coverage year. We hid the Clone Pilot in the Miscellaneous gallery at the bottom of the image of the Uncle Milton Darth Vader Cybernetic arm. You had to locate the exact image above, not just a picture of a Clone Pilot. See below:

The correct link is: http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/swexperience/toyfair2009/miscellaneous/pages/01unclemilton024.html

We hope you all had a fun time playing with us. We will definitely have to do this again soon. I hope to announce winners by tomorrow, but we have to do a lot of post-production stuff before that happens! Thank you for your patience!
