You're not going to believe this one folks! Hasbro via Hunter PR has sent JTA an exclusive look at an upcoming wave of The Vintage Collection. The image includes two already announced carry-forward figures, but the remaining five are all-new! Hasbro has acknowledged our 2011 - It's Down To Seven Special Report and JTA is getting some love for the report by way of this new wave of figures! We are utterly speechless! Hasbro has been unbelievably inspired by Jedi Temple Archive's Special Report 2011 - It's Down To Seven! They are releasing a wave of figures based on our own list of the seven figures we deem that Hasbro has not yet made in the modern basic figure line yet.

Hasbro writes:

"We were so impressed with JTA's hard work on the vintage/modern Special Report. It was brought to our attention through many media outlets and our jaws nearly hit the floor. It made us take a step back and consider the body of work that the Star Wars toy line has brought all of us. It's certainly been quite a journey!

We understand that everyone has a different idea on what constitutes a replacement, but we think JTA got it pretty right. We've wanted for a while now to finish up the vintage figures and what a better time than now. (By the way, look for some significant upgrades to other figures from years ago. We're getting aggressive with The Vintage Collection!) This special wave of figures will become available sometime after San Diego Comic Con 2011.

Please tell your readers that these are early stage prototypes, but we thought they would like a sampling of what's to come as soon as possible. Keep up the great work there at JTA!"

Here is the numbering system for these figures.

Kithaba (VC59) (vintage Barada)
Echo Base Trooper (VC63) (vintage Rebel Soldier)
Bespin Security Guard (VC80)
Sim Aloo (VC81)
Bolo Gna (VC82) (vintage Nikto)
Sy Snootles (VC83) (vintage "Lapti Nek" version)
Tamul (VC84) (the vintage "Lumat")

Thank you Hasbro! We are honored. Weigh in on your thoughts in our comments module below!
