Flow Planning Manager

Function/Purpose:

Our fast-paced US Allocation (Flow) Planning team is looking for a Retail Allocation Planning Manager with experience in consumer products. The main goal of the Flow Planning manager is to partner with Sales, Marketing and Operations to determine what to buy, when to buy it and how to distribute it to our customers to support retail. The Flow Planning Manager must be able to assimilate multiple sources of information in order to make purchase and allocation plan decisions and continuously reanalyze plans to adjust for frequent variables, including production, field forecasts, point of sale data, marketing efforts, quality factors, etc. The goal of the purchase and allocation plans is to establish the widest assortment of product, to the widest account base, taking into account individual business plans, weeks of supply, percentage of business within a category and promotional plans all while managing product assortments to prevent back up at retail.

Key Responsibilities:

~ Recommend inventory commitment requirements, for brand portfolio worth approximately $400M, necessary to drive high service levels and high fill-rates for our key retailers.

~ Maintain the 12-month rolling inventory requirement, by month, for each 8-digit planning material, by distribution channel, in the SAP Demand Planning module.

1. Collaboration with U.S. Marketing and Global Operations teams in order to maintain full year consensus forecasts at the 5th-digit sku level.
2. Collaboration with U.S. Marketing and Global Operations teams in order to maintain full year consensus forecasts at the 8th-digit sku level. Key factors needing consideration in this process are retail transitions between current/new package changes, wave management and ship dates (1st avails).
3. Collaboration with management and other team members to achieve year ending inventory budget requirements.

~ Develop Three Month Allocation Plans based primarily on thorough and continuous analysis of the following factors: field forecasts, determination of LC vs. domestic needs, Ad requirements and promotions, just-in-time weekly replenishment orders, POS and weeks of supply, version management, historical fair share of category and percent of corporate volume.

~ Establish clear, concise, and timely communication with the Sales, Operations Planning, HFE and senior management as required on all critical and allocated items to include issuing monthly Allocation decks which are used to make allocation adjustments when/if necessary.

~ Identify and establish merchandise requirements for the spring and fall season retail plan-o-grams.

~ Partner with Marketing and the Operations team to ensure Hasbro’s advertising efforts will be supported with national distribution of featured product.

~ Approve, modify, or decline special promotions or print advertising based on availability of product.

Education and Experience Requirements:
:

~ B.S. in Business Administration/Management or related field.
~ 5+ years’ experience in a Consumer Products Retail Allocation environment preferred; or equivalent experience in Sales, Merchandising, or Marketing in a Consumer Products environment will be considered.
~ Strong analytical, process and workflow skills.
~ Strong organizational and project management skills.
~ Good communication, mathematical, planning and accounting skills.
~ Proficient with the business programs of MS Office to include Outlook. Significant (Advanced) experience with Excel.
~ SAP experience preferred
~ Ability to successfully utilize web-based applications.
