Would You Support This The Vintage Collection Basic Figure Exclusive?

Posted by Paul | April 02, 2014 at 11:22 AM ET

The Star Wars exclusives at Entertainment Earth haven't been all that exciting in recent memory. But there are some great possibilities that would cost Hasbro very little money while appealing to the adult collector facet of buyers. (You know, Hasbro, the collectors with $$$). Let me pose a question to our viewing audience. Would you buy the proposed The Vintage Collection exclusive? Click through for more.

A full case of 12 "NEW" The Vintage Collection figures that are straight repacks (or simple repaints) of, to date, never-before-carded The Vintage Collection figures. In other words, if Hasbro brought back some definitive sculpts and repackaged them exclusively in TVC packaging would you bite on the case? This is just one example. There are many other figures that I didn't include, but there could be revisions made to this sample. We are asking you to vote on the idea, more than the example itself. It is the belief that repacks wouldn't sell. Prove us or others wrong. There are two comments posted. One says "YES!". One says "NO!" Simply select the up arrow to the response you resonate with more. You can "Guest" vote in Disqus without joining or signing in to it. So guests, please feel welcome to vote. Thanks.

UPDATE 1: Come on folks! Make your voices heard. In the first 15 minutes of this article going live, 80 of you read it and only 11 of you voted. Don't complain when nothing good comes our way!

UPDATE 2: Oh brother! This article now has over 1000 hits and only 200 of you have voted! What gives?

UPDATE 2.5: This article now has over 2400 hits and only less than 400 of you have voted. Sigh.

12 Figures with an MSRP of $119.99.

An example:

Snaggletooth (from the Special Action Figure Set from The Vintage Collection)
AT-AT Driver (from the Legacy Collection)
R2-D2 (from Resurgence Of The Jedi Battle Packs set from the Legacy Collection on a 12-back TVC card)
C-3PO ("new" utilizing the U-3PO Build A Droid sculpt on a 12-back TVC card)
Chewbacca (from the TSC Early Bird Figures set on 12-back TVC card)
FX-7 (the POTJ figure, but the repainted version from the Special Action Figure set 9-pack)
Hoth Rebel Trooper (from The Legacy Collection)
Ree-Yees (from The Black Series)
Emperor's Royal Guard (repack from The Vintage Collection)
Power Droid ("new" repaint of the Special Action Figure Set figure to give us the Lars' Homestead droid)
Zuckuss (from the Legacy Collection)
Luke Skywalker (Combat Poncho) (use the VC23 figure and the accessories from the LC Battle For Endor Battle Packs figure and place on a ROTJ card back)

UPDATE 3: You can now leave comments about this idea RIGHT HERE! Let your voice be heard!
