Luke Skywalker has only flown simplistic skyhoppers and landspeeders while growing up – and growing restless – as a young farm boy on the planet of Tatooine. But after a chance encounter with a droid named R2-D2, who would lead him to the great Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke's quest to fly for the Rebel Alliance would become a reality.

The young farm boy grew up fast as he embarked on an incredible adventure to save the universe from the evil Galactic Empire. Using the ways of the Force and with little training, Luke quickly became one of the best pilots the Rebel Alliance ever accepted into their ranks. Against insurmountable odds and an army of TIE fighters, including Vader's, it was Luke who would make the daring final run down the Death Star's trench in the Battle of Yavin. With the voice of Kenobi guiding him, Luke targeted the exhaust port, fired two proton torpedoes and destroyed the massive space station in an incredible explosion.

Authentically styled straight from Star Wars, Luke Skywalker is prepared for heroic X-wing battles in his Rebel flight gear. Outfitted in the familiar orange flight suit, which comes complete with helmet and visor, harness and galaxy map, this special edition 12" figure is now available for the first time ever and is destined to become a classic collectible.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

The Power Of The Force “2” Collector Series line began taking off with the third wave of figures. Collectors became increasingly eager to see what characters Kenner/Hasbro would produce for the very first time in the 12 Inch Figure scale. While collectors wanted to see modern version of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, they were perhaps more eager to see what a The Empire Strikes Back of Boba Fett would look like, or a Tusken Raider or Lando Calrissian who didn’t make it past the prototype stage in the vintage Kenner era, of course. Kenner/Hasbro also pushed the boundaries focusing on multiple outfits worn by the same character, in this case, Luke Skywalker. For the first time, collectors can welcome a stunning Luke Skywalker (In X-wing Gear) into their collectors because the figure comes with more features than you might believe. With a fitted orange flight suit complete with white bib and chest box controls, the amount of effort that they put into Luke Skywalker (In X-wing Gear) is quite impressive. Luke Skywalker (In X-wing Gear) comes with a beautifully painted removable helmet that has an articulated translucent yellow visor. The detail added to the helmet is outstanding. It looks like the prop featured in the film identically. Kenner/Hasbro added code cylinders/x-tools to Luke’s left shoulder pocket. And they also added eight separately sculpted flares for above his left boot. These ornaments add an unprecedented amount of realism to a figure of this caliber. But we're particularly fond of the rolled-up flight map on his left bicep. It has incredible detail and color. From head to toe, they did a fantastic job here. For accessories, Luke Skywalker (In X-wing Gear) comes with a lightsaber that, for the first time, breaks down into lightsaber hilt and lightsaber blade. It’s nice to see Kenner/Hasbro taking the line as far as possible with the third wave of Collector Series figures. Luke Skywalker (In X-wing Gear) comes with the standard portrait of previous figures. And overall, we’re thrilled how well this figure turned out.
