The Empire prepares to crush the Rebellion with a second, more powerful Death Star. As the Rebel fleet mounts a massive attack on the dreaded space station, Luke Skywalker confronts his father, Darth Vader, in a climactic duel before the evil Emperor. In the last second, Vader makes a momentous choice: he destroys the Emperor and saves his son. The Empire is finally defeated, the evil Sith are destroyed, and Anakin Skywalker is redeemed. At long last, freedom is restored to the galaxy.

Teebo is an Ewok poet, musician, and mystic who reads the future in the stars and communicates with nature. He's a member of the tribe's Council of Elders and led the war party that discovered Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and the others before the Battle of Endor.

As the first phase of the Star Wars “Saga” line came time to wrap, Hasbro felt that some of their most recent figures in the Power Of The Jedi line warranted seeing release again. Although they were numbered in the 2002 lineup, they didn’t see release until early 2003 when the Star Wars “Saga” line moved onto its second phase. These figures even shipped in the new 2003 case assortments for the very first time! One figure, Teebo, was part of the final wave of the Power Of The Jedi line and it didn’t see much widespread distribution at retail. Hasbro believed that a second chance for collectors to grab him in the Star Wars “Saga” line would make most collectors happy. And frankly it did. Teebo, the Ewok from Return Of The Jedi, has been carried forward into the Star Wars “Saga” line, but only eagle-eyed collectors will be able to note that he isn’t exactly the same way he came in the Power Of The Jedi line. Before you go into a panic, the figure is identical to the POTJ release except for a few very subtle paint operation changes, all of which we’ll get to or you in detail.

Teebo has three distinct differences this time around. They include the stripes on his fur have been sloppily applied, his cowl is duller, the “fleshy” parts of his hands and feet are darker and lastly the bluish green detail on his horn and sheath are a slightly different shade now. Obviously we’re talking about extremely slight changes here so there is nothing to worry about quite honestly. Our anal retentive eyes notice things that most other more normal and healthier collectors would never notice. But it’s important to note that the differences are indeed there. Teebo is great to see again, but even his first appearance in the Power Of The Jedi line alerted collectors to the fact that he was too big. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t look like a fantastic action figure. Hasbro has come so far with the realism of the Ewok species in the basic figure line, and frankly Teebo significantly advanced by comparison. The Ewok comes with a nice amount of accessories and has an excellent paint job to finish off everything.

Teebo comes with seven points of articulation. Obviously he isn’t super-articulated, but it’s still nice to see the standard amount of articulation get added to a character of this short stature plus or minus a few points. His best feature is his swivel wrists. These are especially important for when you have him holding the included spear. Ewoks must have this articulation to make holding these types of weapons believable. Teebo’s accessories may rival the sculpt of the action figure itself. He comes with a strapped horn, a strapped knife and sheath combination piece, an ornately detailed and decorate cowl which features the head of some Endor boar and of course the aforementioned spear. All of the accessories are nicely sculpted and fit the character flawlessly, scale wise and deco wise. If you missed the Power Of The Jedi version or you want to get this “new” version with very subtle paint differences, you have options. It’s a great figure regardless of its faults. That much you should know.
