Logray was the head shaman for the Ewok tribe. Taller than most Ewoks, Logray had tan striped fur and wore a headdress decorated with feathers, beads, and a large bird skull. The top of the staff he carried featured the spinal bones of a defeated enemy.

Logray, along with Wicket and the rest of the Ewok tribe, helped the Rebel Alliance defeat the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Endor.

You know our position. It is our strong opinion that everyone should dabble in some form of high-end exclusives to supplement his Hasbro focused collection. Products created by licensees including Sideshow Collectibles and Gentle Giant Ltd. are made with authenticity and precision that just cannot be captured in 3.75” scale. Of course, their price tags and very limited edition sizes prohibit many collectors of the 3.75” line from even considering them. But once again we would recommend to you that if it’s possible to purchased even one or two pieces a year, you’ll be able to see why it is so important to appreciate the quality and skill that is worked into these gorgeous pieces. A perfect example of this is the Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) Mini Bust. Without question, it’s the greatest likeness of this character in any collectible format period. We’re so impressed with him that we hope Gentle Giant Ltd. has big plans in store for more Ewoks. They really know how to make excellent representations of this species in the Mini Bust line.

One thing that Hasbro will never be able to bring forth in the basic figure line that Gentle Giant Ltd. is able to do with relative ease is the intense amount of visible detail. Did you know that Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) has the spine of one of his victims hanging from his ornate staff? Did you know he has the space equivalent of a pigeon head hanging from his satchel like an ornament? Did you know he was one of the tallest of all the Ewoks in Bright Tree Village? These are just some of the details you can appreciate in a line like the Mini Busts. We were all excited to get the 2011 TVC Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) (VC55) basic figure from Hasbro. But once we realized how inaccurate his likeness was (mostly due to an incorrect paint job), we became discontent with the final product. You don’t have that issue with the Mini Bust.... in the least. Like we’ve mentioned, the Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) Mini Bust is unquestionably the most impressive collectible format of this character at the moment. No other format of this character can hold a candle to it.

Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) comes in two pieces. The top of his ornate staff is removable, obviously to help prevent breakage and is placed on the top of the staff to complete it. Logray is perfectly colored and the hand painted details are mesmerizing. You’ll be more than impressed with how excellently the artists have accurately recreated the striped pattern in his fur as well as gave more detail than you can possibly imagine in his accessories including his boney headdress, his medicine bag and staff. There is always a concern with how well a company can recreate the natural look of fur in a polystone format, but Gentle Giant ltd. has proven that they’re not concerned with such issues. The execution here is flawless. It makes us wish that Hasbro would find a way to create this “texture” in the fur because it might help out fur-covered creatures look a little bit better in their basic figure lineup. Limited to only 1400 pieces, Logray (Ewok Medicine Man) isn’t expected to last forever at retail. With Ewok character popularity at an all-time high, you can expect this Mini Bust to be sought after and purchased until sold out. Be sure to get yours before you no longer can.
