Clone trooper Draa fights battle droids on Geonosis. Draa is part of a Republic mission to destroy a Separatist droid factory. Under the command of Jedi General Luminara Unduli, Draa fights the droids with an arsenal of weapons including a blaster pistol, blaster rifle, and missile launcher.

Well it looks as if Hasbro has every intention to use and reuse 2010's TCW [S2] Clone Commander Stone (CW44) sculpt to make new clone troopers even though some vocal fans are quite discontent with this. While this mold can appear disproportionate, awkward and unnecessarily curvy, it really is the most accurate sculpt we have for the clones that appear in The Clone Wars television show. And these are just some of the words we can use to describe this body type. We've grown soft with this mold over the years and have come to accept it's about the best silhouette we have for clone troopers now. Forgive us for being initial haters of it. We still hope that Hasbro makes a revised version of this sculpt that includes better articulation. Or they can just simply resurrects the older clone trooper bodies from the beginning of the line; we won't mind. Clone Trooper Draa works well in the basic figure line. It’s really just another example of “more of the same” and you’ll either love him or ignore him depending upon your affinity for clone trooper action figures.

In The Clone Wars, he served under Luminara Unduli (and action figure that we adore to this day by the way) and he was seen in a few action sequences on Geonosis which really ha strong ties to Episode II. Despite this figure’s faults, there is absolutely some saving grace as well. The paint job is simple but very striking. And most important to us, we couldn’t help but note the Pac Man symbol on his helmet! We’re not exactly sure if someone on the production team of Filoni’s The Clone Wars is a connoisseur of video games of the 1980s, but it is pretty cool even if it wasn’t intended to be Pac Man. Clone Trooper Draa is loaded with accessories including a blaster pistol, blaster rifle and a heavy grenade launcher that hangs awesomely off of his shoulders. It really does look fantastic. And as with all the other figures in the "Shadow Of The Dark Side" line look, Clone Trooper Draa comes with a stand, die and battle game card. If you’re looking to be wowed with an awesome clone trooper, Draa may not be the figure for you, but he will likely excite those looking to round out a The Clone Wars display with 2009's TCW [S2] Luminara Unduli (CW30) figure.

The Clone Wars has certainly taken an interesting turn recently. It seems that ironically clone troopers are the minority anymore in the line and Jedi and tertiary characters are released with much more prominence. But even with a slightly reduced role in the series, Hasbro still find ways to crank them out for that alone are excited. We of course are thrilled that Jedi are coming hot and heavy because in all honesty, the clones become very boring quickly for us. But it is still refreshing to get the occasional clone like Draa in our collections as well. But we just want a better body type used because at this stage in the game, Hasbro should have already developed a premium clone trooper mold to use for all clones. The human and humanoid Jedi as well as the Separatist creatures and droids are really the best figures in the line. We are thrilled that Hasbro is making these characters so well, but they need to be sensitive to the fact that their clone troopers should share this awesome design and construction as well. Draa is a pretty cool action figure, but other than that he may not do much else for you. But sometimes looking good is all an action figure needs to sell itself to collectors.
