The men and women of the Rebel Alliance are fiercely dedicated to the principle of freedom, and will lay down their lives in defense of their belief in democracy, to see the fall of the Empire. Some were Imperials disillusioned with their government's tyranny. Some were from worlds subjugated by the Empire. In stark contrast to the faceless anonymity of the stormtrooper ranks or the precision drilling of Imperial Academy training, Alliance troops were aggressively individualistic and much more rag-tag.

Princess Leia led a desperate mission in the battle against the Empire, delivering the stolen plans for the Death Star to the Rebellion, in hope that Rebellion forces might find a weakness in the battle station's engineering. Leia's ship, the Tantive IV, was captured by Lord Vader near the desert world of Tatooine, and Vader's forces wasted no time boarding the blockade runner. Scores of Rebel fleet troopers fought valiantly to defend Leia and their precious cargo, and their stalwart sacrifice they provided enough time for Leia to hide the Death Star plans in a little astromech droid, R2-D2, and commanded the droid to flee in an escape pod to the desert world below, in search of their only hope – the Jedi known as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Another 1:6 Scale Figure in Sideshow Collectibles' impressive Militaries Of Star Wars line is released to thunderous applause. The Rebel Fleet Trooper in one-sixth scale has arrived to the elation of many and Sideshow has magnificently mastered the likeness of Lieutenant Pello Scrambas, one of the members of the Rebel Alliance we get a very good look at on the Tantive IV. It is quite an amazing feat how well Sideshow is able to replicate some of our favorite Star Wars characters in 1:6 Scale and Rebel Fleet Trooper is just another one of their examples of the finest action figure mastery. Sideshow makes it priority number one to not disappoint collectors of their line and it all starts with a great likeness and an authentic costume. And the Rebel Fleet Trooper score high on both accounts. A "first time available" 1:6 Scale Figure, the Rebel Fleet Trooper has never been released by the Hasbro line so it is truly a special release for many 1:6 Scale Figure collectors. And to get such a high quality version of this character for the first time makes it extra awesome! The Rebel Fleet Trooper 1:6 Scale Figure is a near-exact representation of the character seen in Episode IV from the squint in his eye to the salt and pepper hair. Every detail of the actor and costume from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope can be found on this 1:6 Scale Figure. And with the Imperial Stormtrooper, Darth Vader and Captain Antilles figures, collectors are extremely fortunate that they have the opportunity to recreate that opening scene that started it all in the Star Wars saga.

The Rebel Fleet Trooper is truly an awesome figure to finally add to your long-suffering Star Wars collection because if your are a 1:6 Scale Figure collector, this is one figure that desperately needed to be added to it. You'll absolutely be impressed that every detail of the costume is exacted with superior perfection. The color of his shirt has been woven in the right shade of blue and his gray pants fall perfectly at boot level and have the right amount of length so that you can imitate the bagginess at the top of the boots. The black vest is loaded with various compartments and hugs his lean body very closely. In other words it's perfect. You'll probably recall of the controversies with the inconsistent Hasbro figures as far as color and accuracy of their uniforms? Well, you won't find any discrepancies in the colors used for Sideshow's 1:6 Scale Figure. It's all here and in the right places and absolutely perfect. The helmet and blaster exceed our expectations by a landslide and serve as conclusive proof that Sideshow Collectibles should be the worthy candidates of a scaled replicas license. The weapons (as well as accessories like helmets) of these figures are almost in and of themselves reasons to collect the 1;6 Scale Figures line. Yes, they are that good. We are not exaggerating. So you should really consider that you are getting scaled replicas included with these luxurious 1:6 Scale Figures. Still, without being too picky, we still think that the Rebel Fleet Trooper is a little too lightly accessorized.

We are especially surprised by the very low edition size of only 3500 total pieces worldwide for the Rebel Fleet Trooper. Editions sizes have been shrinking over the last couple of years and we no longer see them exceed four digits anymore. The last figure to attain 10000 pieces was Han Solo figure in 2006. But now figure are barely reaching 5000 on average. The lower the edition size, the harder the figure become to find on the aftermarket at fair prices. We highly suggest getting your pre-orders in nice and early or if you choose to deal with a secondary vendor or retailer to pick up your figures as soon as you can. No exclusive version available, the Rebel Fleet Trooper is only available in a regular edition. He comes without any special accessories, but the ones he does come with are fantastic and suit him very well. And the quality of him is clearly unprecedented. Sideshow's 1:6 Scale Figures are better than any figure Hasbro has done or will make in the future (if they ever return to the format). And the level of detail is impossible to reach in the 3.75" smaller scale. And while the price of these figures may alienate a whole potential buying audience, we believe that many collectors in the long term will be disappointed to have initially passed on them no matter what their reasons are. We suggest finding a way to include these incredible Militaries Of Star Wars figures by Sideshow Collectibles into your collections. This is only the beginning and the line will definitely be including some impressive military figures. But for now, at least enjoy the awesome Rebel Fleet Trooper. He is worthy of your praise!
