While this "story" is undocumented and only second hand knowledge, the fact remains that things were changed at Walmart.com for the exclusive The Black Series 3.75" line and how they are now priced. We have learned through a few friends of the site that someone who worked for Disney contacted the appropriate parties at Walmart to make the ever changing pricing of the figures cease. If you look now, the fluctuating prices have indeed stopped. But now it appears that the same things needs to be done for the Build A Weapon line. We hope that the same can be done for the other lines as well. Maybe it can't since the rest of the line isn't exclusive to Walmart.

Hasbro, during the years of 2008 through 2010, gave us some of the GREATEST collector-focused exclusives we had ever seen to date via The Legacy Collection and Legacy Collection line looks. It appears that Hasbro is adding collector stamps to the Walmart exclusive The Black Series 3.75" line now! No, it's just to block the missing accessory. Is it too cruel to wish that the punishment for Star Wars action figure theft would be hanging, drawing and quartering? It seems as if it would be the only deterrent to make people stop this despicable act. JTA reader Jaret T. sends us an almost humorous act of vandalism and theft for a 3.75" TBS figure. Before PC. Before agenda. Before accusations of exclusivity instead of inclusiveness. Before the dark times. There was once a beautiful supplemental Star Wars story contained within the archives of the Original Expanded Universe. Site GiveUsLegends.net is trying to make Lucasfilm see its relevancy in the current Star Wars canon and to bring it back and continue it. Yahoo News has the story.

Fly Navy Heritage Trust is a charity trying to raise funds here in England to keep their Sea Vixen (a Cold War era) jet flying. Interestingly they have found, in a container of old parts, an IG-88 Droid head (not the actual prop, but the same car part used in the Star Wars films)! Actually, it is a Rolls Royce Nene engine flame tube from the jet exhaust which was used to make the classic Star Wars character's head. (It can also be found in Chalmun's cantina.) They've reached out to us because they'd like to auction it off. They believe it would be a fabulous way to raise funds for the charity! Check out the auction HERE and be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments.

JTA reader Aarren A. sends us proof that the Walmart exclusive The Black Series [Phase III] 3.75" figures are now ringing up $1.00 each in his area of IA. In my opinion this really doesn't bode well for SA 3.75" in general. Then again, the incessant shipping of only five new action figures for a brand new Star Wars film doesn't guarantee continual sell through either. Hasbro – please ship no less than 12 new 3.75" figures at a pop or this will continue to be a problem. While this may not be the case in every Walmart store, it is evidence like this that makes me believe that the super-articulated line SHOULD NOT be a retailer exclusive. Make it mainline again!

Lando and Dengar have been announced as the next playable characters in Star Wars Battlefront. They will be a part of the Bespin expansion pack which will be released to season pass holders in June. While Lando is a very exciting addition, Dengar is an odd choice. Even among the bounty hunters. Bossk or IG-88 would've been better choices. Now that we've had our first look at Rogue One and a front runner has apparently emerged in the search for a young Han Solo, the standalone Star Wars films are beginning to take shape. Rogue One looks promising but I'm still dreading the young Han Solo movie despite its strong creative team (Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Lawrence and Jon Kasdan). I just think a young Han Solo movie is a fundamentally misguided idea. Hopefully Lord, Miller, and the Kasdans can prove me wrong. Right now Rogue One and the young Han Solo movie are the only confirmed standalone films, but what kind of stories do you want to see? The long-rumored Boba Fett movie? A Porkins origin story? A movie explaining how Admiral Ackbar knew it was a trap? Personally, my vote is for an Obi-Wan Kenobi movie starring Ewan McGregor. Obi-Wan is one of the most popular Star Wars characters, Ewan is willing to come back, and you have the entire time period between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope to tell a story. Why hasn't this happened yet?

More than two weeks ago, JTA reader Lando Plenty brought to the attention of the JTA community and Star Wars Collectors everywhere that it appeared Amazon is scalping itself. Now that two weeks have past it STILL appears as if the same trend is happening. Not a glitch in the system, the new "supply and demand" price pointing that is taking over so many online stores is not something any of us want to see when it comes to buying Star Wars figures. Join in on the discussion where you can interact with many other fans and collectors.

These are all third party sellers (translation: the prices are offensive), but look at the results you get when you search "star wars vintage collection" at Sears.com. It's enough to make grown men cry. Hasbro, if you see this, please understand why this is such a powerful marketing strategy for you to take full advantage of for the 40th anniversary of Star Wars!

As Star Wars collectors, Hasbro can rarely make us happy all of the time. That's a given. But I don't even think they can deny that Force Friday didn't go as planned. We're not going to beat up on them about that. But now if you go to Toys R Us, TARGET and Walmart, you'll find that wave 3 of The Black Series [Phase III] 6" line is clogging the shelves. Now, my area was one that has received next to nothing of ANY The Force Awakens products (especially in comparison to the mid and south West and New England areas) and even Philly is swimming in these figures now. Captain Phasma can be found everywhere. Even the Walmart exclusive 3.75" line (wave 3) has been overstocked to the point of not even fitting in the allotted spaces it's been granted. These quantities should have been available on September 4th, not April 2015. I wonder if the newest products will even find their way to my areas now because I don't foresee this old product moving out to make room for the truly new stuff. Hopefully The Force Awakens DVD/Blu-ray release will bring some toy buyers into stores again, because right now I don't see much of the line moving at all.... whether they're just peg-warmers or actually new and hot products.

Our friends at Yakface.com have received some preliminary information about the TARGET promotion happening surrounding the release of The Force Awakens on Blu-ray April 5th. Click through for all the details. We have also heard rumblings (but sadly have no proof) that 18 NEW FIGURES will be released that day. But please take that with a grain of salt until it is confirmed. It could just be some of the new figures already out now. Also, many stores have already put out the dedicated product kick displays sans The Force Awakens media (just the related products and toys). Check your local ads for TARGET coupons which include $10 off star wars merchandise totaling $50 or $25 off star wars merchandise totaling $100. Let us know what you find too!

We're a tad late posting this story, but the TBS6 Jango Fett is making frequent appearance both online and at brick and mortar for the last couple of weeks. It truly is a surprise how this figure has become the runaway hit of wave 5. JTA reader WIll P. writes in eagerly telling us about his latest find at TARGET. Click through for his story!

Sabine Wren will have a much bigger role in Star Wars: Rebels season 3. That's what io9.com is reporting! This will be wonderful, as long as they're able to diminish her use of modern American vernacular like "Seriously?", "For reals!" and whatever other expressions make me cringe my neck. (I am partially exaggerating, so don't take the criticisms all too seriously. Seriously!) Here is to Sabine Wren getting some decent and honorable screen time!

Amazon has the (formerly) exclusive The Black Series 6" First Order Snowtrooper Officer in stock for $21.99. Thanks to Alan W., Matthew B., and Donald S. for writing in to let us know! Is anything really exclusive anymore? While the item pictured doesn't have the TRU exclusive sticker on it, it's not known whether the items shipped will or will not have it.
UPDATE: The regular snowtrooper is actually what is shipping. Best case? If you still need the regular snowtrooper you might want to get this. Thanks for those that reported in on what they are receiving.
UPDATE 2: Further reports are showing that Amazon is shipping both the regular snowtrooper and the officer (with the TRU sticker).
