Vintage Foreign Action Figure Guide Open

    Posted by Chuck | January 24, 2005 at 05:54 PM EDT |

Jedi Temple Archives is proud to open another new guide. This one is sure to help vintage collectors identify and build those hard to find foreign action figure variations! Thanks to dedicated forum member Doug Fulford (aka Lord_Stitch), we've opened the guide with 3 popular lines: Lili Ledy from Mexico, Top Toys from Argentina, and Glasslite from Brazil. We will add some of the other foreign lines as we complete the research on them.
If you have read through our forums you might recall Doug showcasing some of his figures in the vintage section. Now, you can see his Glasslite POTF figures in full Visual Guide glory. Doug was kind enough to donate pictures of his collection for our guides.
He has also worked very hard compiling comprehensive lists of each line. He's hard at work taking pictures of the rest of his collection, which we will add as time goes on. In the mean time, use this guide as a checklist of what to look for in each line, and use the finished guides to help you identify the variations and what to look for.

         Thanks Doug!

New Episode 3 Trailer Description At TFN

    Posted by Mike | January 20, 2005 at 05:38 PM EDT |

TheForce.net has posted an article describing the Episode 3 trailer. Here is a little excerpt. highlight to read, but be careful, spoilers ahead:
"....We are then introduced to the political maneuvering of Palpatine, Obi-Wan and Mace Windu. All of them actually want to use Anakin as a pawn in their game (Palpatine makes Anakin his "personal representative on the Jedi Council" while Obi-Wan wants him to "report on all the Chancellor's dealings"). The first minute or so is surprisingly heavy on dialogue and consists mostly of shots of various characters speaking to each other (intercut with short glimpses of evil droids, space battles etc.). We even see how Mace Windu and three other Jedi attempt to arrest Palpatine (he grabs the lightsaber and confronts them). When Mace Windu tells Anakin "You are on this council but we do not grant you the rank of Master", Anakin loses it and joins the Dark Side (Sidious: "Every single Jedi is now an enemy of the Republic"). At least that's how the trailer makes it look. ...."
To read the entire article head on over to TheForce.net.

    Clone Strike Miniatures Guide Open

    Posted by Mike | January 06, 2005 at 05:13 PM EDT |

Today we are pleased to open our Clone Strike Miniatures Visual Guide. Clone Strike is the expansion set from Wizards Of The Coasts Star Wars Miniatures game. Clone Strike builds off of the first set, Rebel Storm, and introduces us to 2 more factions. Following the events of the Clone Wars that we first saw come to life in Attack Of The Clones, The Republic is now in the mix with it's Clone Troopers, and Jedi. The other new faction is of course the Separatists. The Separatists with their armies of Battle Droids, are led by Dooku, and General Grievous. Then of course there are the Fringe Characters. Mostly made up of Bounty Hunters, Mercenaries, and other scum from the Star Wars universe, you will find that some of them might be needed.
Though the Guide is not complete, we have 12 images in the guide for you to check out, and we will be adding more in the next few days.
