Review: Scout Trooper (Imperial Patrol) [Version 1] - POTJ - Basic

Posted by Paul | September 19, 2014 at 12:25 AM EDT |

The Scout Trooper (Imperial Patrol) [Version 1] figure was a breath of fresh air in 2000/2001. But it cleverly fooled us all because it really didn't age all that well when compared to what Hasbro has released since. See this ancestor in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! As always, you can also send your own personal review requests via email if you'd like to see something that we didn't cover yet.

Egregious, Despicable, Disgusting, Horrifying, Enraging

Posted by Paul | September 17, 2014 at 09:24 PM EDT |

You will NEED to sit down before clicking through to witness the horror we did. We have no less than 15 images of pure theft to show you. JTA reader Greg B. sends us one incident after another of blatant theft and he assumes that this is the same thieving guy/gal doing this because it happens frequently and in a remote area. I need to find out more, but I would like to know why no one has done something about this or perhaps brought it to a district manager's attention. I think something like this would warrant a call to Hasbro customer relations. You will shutter. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Hasbro, you have all but ignored the fan sites, but if you're still reading, please do something about this.... even if it's simple staff education.

Emergency Mental Health Psych Screener Needed Please!

Posted by Paul | September 16, 2014 at 09:22 PM EDT |

We have two bizarre and mentally unstable actions caught on camera to share with you courtesy of JTA reader David B. The first one is surprisingly NOT a terrible paint job by Hasbro. Someone actually switched Luke's arms with Han's. And then the second form of theft someone returned the "good" figure from a Mission Series two-pack. Freaky! Whoever is doing this, please spend your time reclined in a chair and get some psychotherapy. Please. Click through for more.

Comic Spoofs Of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith

JTA reader Josh E. has developed his own line of Star Wars spoof comics concentrating on Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith that can currently be seen at MotionPicturesComics.com. He gently pokes fun at the movie's weak points while still maintaining his fandom of the film. Look on this with laughter and not defense.... as some are actually quite funny.

Yikes! How NOT To Ship Star Wars Figures, Amazon.com!

Posted by Paul | September 15, 2014 at 01:31 PM EDT |

I don't mean to laugh at JTA reader Jascon C.'s bad experience here, but this is the risk you take when ordering from Amazon.com. It's a crap shoot. I can tell you that ordering from one of JTA's sponsors like Dorkside Toys or Beyond Mortality Toys (among others) would have always yielded a very pleasant experience for me. They packaged things beautifully. Click through for more!

We have what we feel is a special treat as far as our Research Droids Reviews are concerned today. It's not a special treat because it's such a great collectors' item, it's a special treat because almost no one else (no one at all?) has this archived except for us now. We itemize every last detail and omission that makes these figures different from the original releases and we also let you know their new numbering as well. Plus, we give you internal and external packaging shots so you can clearly see how these sets pay deserved homage to the incredible Ralph McQuarrie. See the Ralph McQuarrie Concept Collection (1 of 2) in great detail (almost 100 images) right now!
