Is There Room Yet To Start Growing Concerned?

Posted by Paul | December 22, 2014 at 05:09 PM EDT |

Our friends at SWActionNews have posted a story on their blog called the Venganza Media Gazette that Hasbro is producing a 2.5" scaled line for the Avengers film. Also, when Marvelicious Toys, their sister site, pressed Hasbro for any new details on 3.75" line, they essentially got "no comment". With this newly leaked information that shows that this new smaller scale is what this line will be and with no signs (YET) that 3.75" will be produced for the Avengers film (at this moment), how does this make you feel about how the Star Wars line may be approached with The Force Awakens? While we're all eager to jump the gun and panic, let us know in the comments how you feel about this. It is interesting that NO 3.75" TFA leaks showed up. You have to feel for Avengers collectors. We think simple 5POA is bad. Imagine getting 2.5" next. Yikes! Please don't cross-pollinate that scale to Star Wars, Hasbro! Please!

Is Walgreens Very Territorial About Its Exclusives?

Out of the 250+ eBay auctions for the "Walgreens exclusive" TBS6 Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) figure, I couldn't find this sticker once on any of the listings. Have any of you out there seen this? Interesting. It seems like you could have some real fun with that phone number....

Battle Of Endor Permanently Price-Changed To $79.99?

Posted by Paul | December 21, 2014 at 04:54 PM EDT |

We are pretty sure that the Battle Of Endor Toys R us exclusive multipack has been permanently price-changed to $79.99 (which is still way too much money to plop down on this thing if you already have all of the contents inside of it already). But if you have been eyeing this thing, then this may be more palatable for you. On a side note, as you can see from the image, not much has changed on this shelf since the summer time!

Rebels Figures: Where Are You?

Posted by Paul | December 21, 2014 at 04:50 PM EDT |

We're literally a few days away from Christmas and quite a few collectors have yet to see a single Rebels figure in their local stores. This is the sad state of affairs at Toys R Us in Northeast Philly. It's been abysmal here pretty much forever, although they did somehow manage to get the TBS6 Yoda wave in – explain that!

Our latest Vintage update features 6 more instruction sheets, a catalog... and a very (in)famous insert. Click through to see what's new, and stop by our Vintage Visual Guide to check out our full inventory of Instructions, Inserts, and catalogs!

Review: Talking Boba Fett - Talking Star Wars Figures (Disney Store)

The unbelievable Talking Boba Fett is one of our most favorite purchases of the year. UPDATE: Walgreens.com Cancels Remaining Unfilled Proto Fett Orders?

Posted by Paul | December 19, 2014 at 09:07 AM EDT |

That's what Facebook page STAR WARS: Anything and Everything is stating. It appears that Walgreens is unable to fill all pre-orders on this toy. What doesn't make sense to us is that if the buyer, who claimed to re-order 40,000 more units, ordered what he said he would, this thing should be more common than Episode I product. So something just isn't right here.

UPDATE: It looks like two separate things are happening here. Click through for more.

Review: Obi-Wan Kenobi - POTJ - Mega Action

But plans were shelved and it eventually was released under the Power Of The Jedi line as Mega Action figures. Now we look at the Obi-Wan Kenobi figure next. Star Wars Action News - Episode 438: Tarkin 'Bout Toys

Posted by Chuck | December 17, 2014 at 05:09 PM EDT |

It's been a long time since Star Wars action figure collectors could shop exclusively at their local brick-and-mortar stores to get the figures they wanted. Since the release of Hasbro's The Vintage Collection in 2010 store supplies have been scarce. Now, however, that seems ready to change! Across the country collectors are finding new Black Series figures in both 3.75-inch and 6-inch lines, plus new Rebels and Mission Series figures too! On this episode of Star Wars Action News you can listen to find out which stores to hit to score full waves of new figures.
