Distribution is in utter disrepair. Check. New items arriving that no one or very few collectors knew were coming. Check. Wrong focus on products to come to retail for a market willing to spend money on the stuff we want. Check. Why must the Star Wars line continue on this path? JTA reader fearxforthebest, while desperately looking for the final Walmart exclusive 3.75" TBS figures (and totally unable to find them), came across "new" 12-Inch Figures. WE had no idea these were even coming (or at least we forgot they were coming if we reported they were coming). Maybe there WILL be new merchandise arriving before Force Friday this year. Let's see what will indeed arrive because it's a crap shoot! We should also note that they arrived to the store on clearance as well.

Uh-oh. Unrest there always seems to be at Disney when it comes to Star Wars. First Arndt leaving, now Rogue One is suffering some turmoil. According to the Daily Mail, Disney chiefs have deemed Rogue One "so bad" that they're requiring four weeks of reshoots and the blame is being placed on director Gareth Edwards. (Or maybe it's actually so good in a classic Star Wars sense that they need to completely rework it to make some characters more invincible perhaps?) Check out the story!

Cheap Loose The Black Series 6" Figures On eBay!

Posted by Paul | May 27, 2016 at 08:11 PM EST |

eBay seller gototoycity has an unbelievable selection of cheap Star Wars figures. In many instances, 6" figures (loose) are less than half the price of the boxed versions. But there is MUCH MORE to check out anyway. Everything is currently on sale too! The store is in China, so be mindful of some of the bootleg figures that are known to come out of there (like Darth Maul). The rest of their selection is rather fantastic however, but please err on the side of caution if you are looking to avoid bootleg figures. CHECK THEM OUT!

FYI: Quite a few readers are saying these are fakes. Keep in mind that eBay has a strict policy on selling bootlegs when advertised as the real thing. If it came down to a dispute, the result would be in your favor. Some people are also just looking for a cheaper way to army build too. Also, as a reminder, we only know of one bootleg figure here: Darth Maul which we already warned you about in the past.

JTA reader Derek directs our attention to an eBay auction that may be of benefit to some of you. Three of the later Rebels Mission Series two-packs have been bundled together for a mere 15.83 (as of this post they're 12% off) with FREE shipping.

JTA reader Andrea G. also alerts us to the fact that more and more Italian websites are advertising their exclusive The Black Series subscription collection and their pre-order screens have once again confirmed a listing for an Episode VII Luke Skywalker in 3.75" scale. In other exciting news, that General Grievous 6" figure that JTA broke news on a year ago looks like it is FINALLY coming to the 6" line as evidenced by its addition here in the Italian line! See the screencaps below for the proof!

Celebration Europe Key Art Revealed

Posted by Mike_Taber | May 26, 2016 at 02:21 PM EST |

StarWars.com has revealed the stunning key art for Celebration Europe. The image features characters from both The Force Awakens and Rogue One, including the all new shoretrooper.

Remember that Italian collection of The Black Series 3.75" and 6" figures? Well, Italian JTA reader Andrea G. has received his Princess Leia Organa figure from the subscription (after buying one off of eBay because of the lack of communication that these would not be coming to Italy) and discovered differences exist between the packaging. Check them out!!

Maybe there is some precedent set for a Star Wars film getting released in December. Maybe The Force Awakens isn't alone. The Academy Film Archive has revealed a supposedly never-before-seen "Revenge Of The Jedi" teaser yesterday which shows that Episode VI was planned to have a December 1983 release date. Sometimes canned responses from Hasbro Customer Service just won't do, as JTA reader James Saylor found out all too quickly. His perseverance paid off ultimately, but he wasn't looking for a freebie. He just wanted to find these figures in stores or online to buy at normal MSRP. What will it take for Hasbro to rectify its years long uphill battle with proper distribution?
