Sabine Wren/Stormtrooper Mission Series Sets + Others At Kohl's!

Posted by Paul | March 27, 2015 at 12:34 PM EDT |

JTA reader Matthew V. as well as our friends at Yakface.com have provided proof that the Sabine Wren/Stormtrooper Mission Series set (along with the others) is (are) being found at Kohl's. You might have another option out there folks!

Our friends at Imperial Shipyards have received, what we consider, the best answer surrounding the rumor that blew up the internet yesterday about the discontinuation of Rebels Saga Legends and Mission Series figures. Hunter PR's answer goes into a little more detail and we interpret it as that yes, the Rebels line look is finished, but 5POA will continue for The Force Awakens. Review: Han Solo (Endor) - R - Saga Legends (SL27)

Posted by Paul | March 27, 2015 at 12:35 AM EDT |

It's a skort! It's a kilt! It's a very short jacket with a matching dress obstructed by hip articulation! It's the worst Han Solo (In Trench Coat) action figure we have ever received. See why Han Solo (Endor) had potential, but Hasbro just plain blew it. It's the focus of our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! As always, you can also send your own personal review requests via email if you'd like to see something that we didn't cover yet.

Review: Princess Leia (Endor) - R - Saga Legends (SL28)

Posted by Paul | March 26, 2015 at 12:20 AM EDT |

Yikes. Wave 4 of the Rebels Saga Legends lines functions more like a public service announcement of how not to do Endor-based figures than anything else. As a result, Princess Leia (Endor) doesn't really fare any better then the others. Learn more in our Research Droids Reviews today. Be sure to leave your own thoughts in our comments section, vote in the poll or even leave comments about it on our Facebook page. Click the banner below for the direct link to the review! UPDATE: BREAKING NEWS: Rebels Saga Legends Line Discontinued!?

Posted by Paul | March 25, 2015 at 01:42 PM EDT |

Online retailer Andrews Toys is reporting that the latest case assortments of Star Wars: Rebels Saga Legends figures have been CANCELLED/DISCONTINUED and also will not be making future shipments of these either. You still sure nothing bleak will happen with The Black Series 3.75" line now? Huh?

UPDATE 1: We reached out to our own sources and have confirmed that this is (at the moment) ONLY true from Entertainment Earth's perspective. While that info doesn't mean anything at the moment, we're not sure how this affects other accounts. We will have more information shortly.

UPDATE 2: Mission Series could be affected in some way also.

UPDATE 3: It's looking more and more as if something similar is happening with the Mission Series and Saga Legends lines that happened with the cancelled TBS 3.75" Princess Leia (Ceremonial) assortments. Certain assortments have been cancelled. That doesn't mean however that new case configurations will not be coming. They may not be coming, but there is no conclusive proof that these figures won't return in the same Rebels line look! Is 5POA over and done with? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Review: Bossk - TBS [P2] - Six Inch Figure (#10)

Posted by Paul | March 23, 2015 at 08:46 AM EDT |

We're not joining the "Bossk is awesome!" fray. He is good but he has issues and we're going to address them. See more of The Black Series 6" Bossk in our Research Droids Reviews today. By the way, we also beat a long-running review column today with an "n + 1" gain. We are quite excited over that accomplishment. See! Star Wars Command DOES Have Some Use!

Posted by Paul | March 23, 2015 at 08:38 AM EDT |

We were taken aback when we visited our local Walmart and quite pleased to see Walmart making the best of the Star Wars Command garbage Hasbro sent them. They emptied the contents of the box and dumped them immediately into the clearance section and then utilized the shipping carton to do some much-needed re-shopping. To think of all the money, energy, advertising, tooling and any other wasted resource that went into this mess and we still don't have a repack of The Vintage Collection's Emperor's Royal Guard (VC105) or Ponda Baba (Walrus Man) (VC70) yet is just maddening.

Continuing a tradition that started in 2005 and has carried through all U.S. Celebrations since, six regional Star Wars collecting clubs will be giving away custom patches at their booths at Celebration Anaheim 2015. Each Lucasfilm-approved patch is fully embroidered and depicts an action figure from the vintage Star Wars line by Kenner. Collect all six to complete your set of Bounty Hunters from The Empire Strikes Back! (more....)

Today we're going to start taking a closer look at the Saga Legends line by kicking off some updates to our Rebels Visual Guide. Love 'em or hate em, we still archive 'em! Click below to check out Luke Skywalker (SL22), and read our thoughts on this figure in our detailed Research Droids Review.

Posted by Paul | March 22, 2015 at 03:47 PM EDT |

The 501st Legion has reached out to us to spread word about one of their members in need. One of their local 501st members is currently in a battle against cancer, because of that she's finding it harder and harder to suit up in her Bo Katan armor. However, she refuses to not help out at our charity events. This is why they're trying to raise money to build her a Chopper droid that she can operate at their events. Please click through to read about the Kickstarter campaign and how you may be able to help out.
