D23 Expo New Events And Panels Announced
The official D23 website revealed several new events earlier today. Click through to learn what was announced!
Here are some of the things announced today:
- Mousequerade fan costume competition, judges will be Ashley Eckstein, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jennifer Lenonard
- Vader Immortal Episode II first look, D23 guests will get an exclusive sneek peek of the upcoming new episode. Hosts will be director Ben Snow, senior experience designer Jose Perez III and Lucasfilm Story Group creative executive Matt Martin
- Heroines of the Disney Galaxies, Ashley Eckstein will host this panel, several guests will make an appearance, “for a celebration of some of the most inspiring and empowered heroines from the worlds of Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more”
- Inside The World of Avatar – props, costumes and models will be on display and guests will also get a glimpse of the brand new Pandora, The World of Avatar at Walt Disney World
On top of these newly announced panels and events D23 guests will also be the very first ones to experience a preview of Disney+. Including a demo of the app available for smartphones/tablets and connected TV devices.
And Yvette Nicole Brown will host the Disney+ First Showcase panel on Friday, 23rd August, with many surprise guests and a preview of the Mandalorian, among other things.
Hasbro is not at D23, so expect no toy reveals. We have to wait for Triple Force Friday for that.
