Toy Run Tuesday #4 - Imperials and Droids

Welcome back, toy runners! It’s our fourth week and I’ve got some really good finds I wanted to share with you. SDCC was rather a bust for new reveals, but did you get any of the exclusives? I didn’t get any of the current ones, but I did find an older SDCC exclusive this week. Post some pictures of your recent finds in the comments here!

Here is my week in Star Wars:

First, a picture of my (much smaller than Tyler F’s) imperial army. I didn’t even realize I had this many troopers, so seeing them all in formation made me pretty happy. Below that is a close up of my mudtrooper squad, which I think I’ve decided are my favorite troops of the Empire. Here’s to hoping Hasbro makes a TVC mudtrooper as good as the 6″ one.

Here are some discounted toys from a liquidation store in Arizona, and the terrible selection of clearance TVC at a Walmart I don’t often go to.

But now for the interesting new stuff! I went to a local Zia Records and someone had put a couple Star Wars figures in their bin where you can make your own bag for $5, so naturally I scooped those up (one was the R2-KT). Well, behind the counter there was a big tote with some other Star Wars sitting on the top, and I asked about them, and since they were all incomplete, the guy pricing stuff said I could just put them in the bag… So that’s my story of how I got a TVC ewok glider and the SDCC R2-KT for $5.

All this for $5!

Next are these wonderful Solo droids. A local man advertising his 3D printing services on Facebook printed these from files by Isotelus on Thingiverse for me. I’ve been wanting these for some time, and I’m really happy to add them to my collection! I’ll need to take a picture with L3 liberating them once they’re painted.

Note to Hasbro… you took too long!

From left to right: P0-03, GD-BD, DD-BD, JV-P12, GOUD-4

And last, I had to share my non-Star Wars action figure find this week. Picked up an extra General Hawk and 2 Iron Man drones from a local comic shop, completing my squad.

There is my report for this week, and I now pass the buck to you. What did you find this week? Did you rearrange your collection? Any SDCC exclusives come your way? Did you meet & greet anyone significant at Comicon? Anything good come in the mail? Thanks for reading, and I look forward to seeing your toy running finds!
