Funko Dorbz Luke Skywalker And Landspeeder: Must-Have Item

Have all of you seen the Funko Dorbz Landspeeder with Luke Skywalker? Special thanks to friend Russ T. for directing my attention to it. I agree with him that it’s a must-have collectible. I think this may be one of the greatest things ever. They’re available at Shop Disney if you’re interested.

Speeder is all clean and shiny, and he is one happy soul. He’s headed to town. πŸ˜‰

  • They eyes are always deal breakers in things like these to me. I care as much for anime eyes on SW characters as I do the black eyed ones on Funko Pops.

  • bmales01

The likeness of this Farmboy Luke is better than the 6″ Landspeeder one

    • Darth Necris

Yeah, that is a pretty rough sculpt. Rey with her speeder look great though!

  • JohnMorog

I like dorbz better than POP! Dorbz are really cute. This one and the Bantha w/ Tusken are really cute (I saw both at a local Disney store). POP! just doesn’t serve a function to me, and they really aren’t cute.

    • bmales01

They seem interchangeable to me. But I definitely dont see the need for both. FUNKO: Pick one style and keep making fantastic product.

      • These don’t have bobbleheads though. I can’t stand spring necks.

        • bmales01

I did not realize that. I have a few Nien Nunb Pops, but I kept them boxed.

        • RumSleg

I think some/all non-Star Wars Pops have regular heads, no springs. The springs make the Star Wars Pops bobble heads so they don’t infringe on another license, I presume. The few SW Pops I own don’t bobble hardly at all, probably because Funko doesn’t want them to bobble. πŸ™‚

EDIT: sorry, this was supposed to be in response to bmales01

          • Hazzbro Jonez

the ONLY pops that are Bobbleheads are Star Wars and Marvel because of that other license which is mighty muggs.
i have a bib fortuna pop and the way its sculpted pretty much prevents it from bobbling

          • bmales01

still wouldnt know/doesnt matter since I havent opened the 3 I have

  • RumSleg

I have such a hard time telling when Paul is being sarcastic these days. Is this really one of the greatest things ever? πŸ˜‰

    • CadeSky

I also had to click on this just to see if he was kidding or not. lol

Not really interested in Dorbz, to be honest. I’ll stick with the 6″ TBS Landspeeder!

      • Darth Necris

That landspeeder is very nice. I’m not sold on the Luke sculpt though. That and the room it takes up are stopping me from picking up that and Rey and her speeder. I have to say I’m a fan of the Rey figure that comes with the speeder.

I just picked up the 6 inch TIE fighter, so I don’t know why I complain about room, I brought it on myself… πŸ™‚

        • CadeSky

Haha yeah no space/ desire for that TIE! I really like everything about the Landspeeder set…having both the 40th Luke and the Landspeeder Luke, I prefer the newer one.

        • CadeSky

Now that I think about it some more, my favorable review of the Luke figure might have something to do with how I finally decided to buy the Landspeeder set the day that I found it in Target’s clearance section lol.

  • RumSleg

So the difference between Pops and Dorbz is the Pops have big blank soulless black eyes wide open, and the Dorbz are blinking?

This Luke Dorb reminds me of Nathan from South Park. πŸ™‚

    • Hazzbro Jonez

yea and these are a little smaller scale than the normal pop figure

      • JediJones

I can’t imagine any serious Star Wars collector actually being proud to display this pathetic junk in their homes. My wallet is definitely happy that so many collectibles have moved into this junk category. If every collectible was like this, I wouldn’t be a collector. Just like if every superhero movie was like Thor: Ragnarok, I wouldn’t be a superhero movie viewer anymore.

  • OfWolfandMan

    Thirty dollars?

  • rusty_t

It’s great and there’s free shipping now. I love the Dorbz mainly because they don’t have those black dot eyes. The Han and Tauntaun is great too. I ordered both.

  • Funtomaz

Why is Luke driving with his eyes closed? Why is Luke so big and the Landspeeder so small? Where can Ben Kenobi sit? πŸ˜› πŸ˜€
I suppose this is taken from the scene after his trip to Tosche Station to pick up some “Power Converters” πŸ˜‰

    • Alientek

He’s using the force of course!

(??? I almost went all Dr. Suess!)

  • Alientek

That is Luke speeding back to Obi-Wan after seeing Uncle Oven & Aunt BeruBQ…

    β€œThink happy thoughts…think happy thoughts…”

Not really a fan of the Dorbz, but these I like…

Tusken looks like Egghead from the Foghorn Leghorn cartoons.

And these guys remind me of Cartman & Butters in the PF Changs episode of South Park (which coincidentally also has George Lucas in it).
I would pay money to hear Cartman or Butters doing Greedo!

  • JediJones

I can’t think of any Star Wars item that is less “must-have” than anything from this crappy line. Except for the Funko POOPs.
