That Skywalker jacket is super super cool, but there’s no way I could fork out $400 when I live in AZ for a jacket I’d wear like twice a year.

Also….. Wasn’t Solo’s jacket determined to actually be brown?

    • It will be a running gag for as long as there is Star Wars merchandise being produced.

      • JohnMorog

You know, I never really cared, but for sake of accuracy it bothers me a little their reference photos clearly show a brown jacket on their own site lol

    • CJ

The costume piece was brown, but it’s blue on screen because of the filters. So do you want to be accurate to a prop, or to a film appearance?

    • flipfriddle

The press release talks about that. They made a batch of brown ones all signed by Harrison Ford that are being sold for $1980 with all the proceeds going to a conservation charity. The poors get the blue ones. πŸ˜‰

    • BlueSaber

it definitely was brown, just like the Imperial Officers actually had grey uniforms, like Tarkin, but on screen with color correction or whatever color grading they did in post made both the Han jacket look dark blue and the Tarkin outfit look army green. I prefer the screen versions because that’s what my eye and everyone else’s was trained to remember and recognize. Just some cool and fun trivia, but I def prefer the colored versions of both rather than the drab look of the actual props. Kenner didn’t help matters by releasing the Hoth Han in a vibrant blue jacket, and a ton of 80s kids had that figure to further their confusion of memory. To me, that is what makes the blue jacket so iconic, it was a toy too!

  • CadeSky

This is really neat but I will never own a $400 coat.

  • CynF

That’s pretty wicked. The price, hopefully it really isn’t that high – I’ve other winter wear that was far more affordable.

  • David Harrison

Did anyone else have a really cheap version of the Han parka when they were a kid in the 80s (dark blue with an orange interior)?

    • I do not recall that item.

    • Hazzbro Jonez

yea just the flight jacket with the fur hood. they still make them. you can find them at DTLR and places like The Scottsman that sell Dickies work pants….places like that. you can still get them without the hood too and they still have orange interiors

  • RumSleg

$400 each? I don’t think I’ve ever gone from wildly excited to extremely disappointed so quickly. πŸ™

I desperately want that Echo Base jacket. I live in NH and would get plenty of use out of it. I just can’t justify $400 for a luxury purchase for myself. πŸ˜›

    • flipfriddle

Tell me about it. It’s cold here in WNY 6 months of the year so I’d wear it out. Oh well.

  • MaarekStele

someone at LFL ain’t doing their job. Han’s Hoth jacket is brown, not blue.

    • Stereotypical Evil Archer

The Kenner toy was blue, that’s what matters.

      • It looked blue on screen, that’s also what matters.

        • JohnMorog

          You’re what matters.

  • Stereotypical Evil Archer

    No Snowtrooper, no deal!

    • Darth Parsley

      Amen, where’s the Snowtrooper love?

  • Walter F.

These are awesome, but wooooo that price.

  • Stereotypical Evil Archer

The brown one is only $1980.00.

    • No, but each are limited to 1,980 units.

      • BigJim Slade

Luke, Leia and the blue jacket are limited to 1,980 units and cost $400 each.
The limited limited brown jacket will cost $1,980.

        • Wait. You’re serious? I totally didn’t read that.

          • BigJim Slade

I’m serious. I just emailed JTA a link.

          • flipfriddle

+1 just for Kentucky Fried Movie handle. πŸ™‚

  • Brass Dragon

Love the Luke and Han jackets, but that’s well outside of the price range.

  • flipfriddle

So cool, but $400? Crap no. I bet at least half of those purchased will be on eBay by the end of the month for $500+.

    • JohnMorog

      Probably more.

      • flipfriddle

Probably right. The most I’ve spent on a Parka was $200 and that hurt. I couldn’t spend that much on a piece of clothing without ever trying it on. Though I suppose I could just buy it, and if I didn’t like it, sell it for $600 on eBay. Hmmm.

        • JohnMorog

Shhhh we don’t talk about doing that here.

  • zx_spectrum_30

That Luke jacket is just awesome.

  • Thank you. Fixed.

  • Very cool, but it doesn’t get that cold in South Texas. I also enjoy paying my rent, so I’ll have to pass.

  • Henry

This will go nicely with the $400 Jedi hoodie from Rag & Bone. I’ll wait for them to go on sale.

  • CJ

I like Hoth, but I don’t need any garment that warm.

    • Mike Moore (04515f4n)

Only star wars planet ive been to is Endor.

  • BigJim Slade

Wow. The correct Brown Jacket that’s signed by Harrison Ford will set you back $1,980.
And it looks as if it will be sold at only 4 Columbia Store locations.

  • Hazzbro Jonez

LOL at everyone’s reaction to the price of a well made winter parka. i have a 3 piece NorthFace parka/coat that ran me $175 AT THE OUTLET, it retails for $475 folks.

these are well made coats. but alternatives do exist. you can still find jacket’s like Hans in boot and work clothes stores. just gotta know where to look

    • Mike Moore (04515f4n)

Yeah, I have a down filled parka that is worth $600 retail. I’m Canadian, it gets cold here.

  • Jaxx Saber

    These are really cool.

  • Mike Moore (04515f4n)

    There’s one problem with this:

A lot of people will look like dorks no?

  • BlueSaber

These are incredible, so awesome that they look almost like the replicas but are still practical to wear and surprisingly fashionable, especially that Han coat. $400 though, yikes

  • BlueSaber

These are incredible, so awesome that they look almost like the replicas but are still practical to wear and surprisingly fashionable, especially that Han coat. $400 though, yikes!

    • Stereotypical Evil Archer

I bought a Columbia parka 10 years ago for $80. Still looks like new. And I suffer harsh winters.

  • Good Man

Disgusting cash grab. SW merchandising/licensing is out of control and is worse with Disney

  • Funtomaz

Available in Europe as well… but whereas the US website gives a price, there’s no price given in euros. 400 euros? Or with added dummy tax 800 euros? πŸ˜‰

  • Alice Charlie Scoles

At 400$ it could be done but I love my wife, and she would leave me!
