Gregor has been #1 on my list for SA figure ever since I watched the episode in Clone Wars.

  • JohnMorog

Would Mother Talzin be a repack of the current Darth Maul Returns multi-pack figure? I feel like you could potentially make her a single-pack figure.

    • Ah! Stop binge-posting!

      • JohnMorog

I deleted one comment. But they are for different figures, so I didn’t want different subjects to get lost in the same thread.

        • LOL. You can still put everything in one comment. It will get read. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Dev71

I’d prefer a regular night sister to go with that Mother Talzan. We never got any of the other night sister warriors.

    • Mother_Talzin

The generic Nightsister could easily be retooled into Talzin. Or, it could be repainted into Mighella.

  • JACKOFTRADZE

Cad Bane, Embo & the Trandoshians from CW.

  • Ziro the Hutt would be niceโ€”considering I own his bartender droid. I’d like to see Ventress, Pre Visla, Hondo, and Cad Bane on a TVC card.

  • CadeSky

All of the main characters from Rebels should really be gotten to, so I won’t specifically mention them.
It would be really cool to get a “realistic” young version of Saw.
    Pong Krell would be great.
Also, for as popular of a character as Lando is, there really aren’t too many different costumes that he has…Rebels offers another version of a key character, so I’d like to see that.

    • Rivesjunctionite

I’d love a Saw multipack: TCW, Rebels, and R1.

      • CadeSky

        That would be cool!

  • Commander Joe276

ARC Trooper Fives is by far my most wanted figure of any character they could possibly make for that line (I’m a clone fanatic problem?๐Ÿ˜‚).
I’d really love to see a phase 2 Commander Fox, and a Rex with phase 1 and 2 equipment like they did for Captain Fordo in TVC
Pong Krell would be amazing as that’s my favorite story arc from the tv show.
TCW should take priority over Revels in my opinion but I’d love any of the main cast in SA format

  • MrStevie18

    • JohnMorog
    • Stuntman Mike

Steve, are there any Rebels season 4 figures coming? Or will it just be TLJ and Han Solo in the main lines?

    • Mark
      • That’s exactly what he must feel like, LOL.

        • MrStevie18

          ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Does MrStevie18 work for Hasbro or something?

    • King Bowser

      6″ too please ๐Ÿ™‚

      • JohnMorog

This is TVC on this hurr thread.

      • PeakOB1

Blue Snaggletooth and Walrusman in his Orange Onesi actually show up In the clone Wars… Those would be at the top of my six inch list!
        #duelpurpose

    • Mother_Talzin

Will LFL permit Hasbro to release CW sculpts that never made it out while the show aired? If I recall correctly…Ziro, Pong Krell, and spider Maul were all sculpted. Could those be added to the beast assortment?

      • Rivesjunctionite

Why not? I’d buy them in a heartbeat!

    • Littlegreenwiseguy

Would it be possible to allow a slot of one CLONE WARS character and one REBELS character per wave in The Vintage Collection for 2019?

    • Andrew Guiberson

I’ve been requesting Dark Disciple Asajj Ventress for years – nice to see her recognized on this list!

  • Jebediaah

Definitely Admiral Trench, Spider Maul and Raako Hardeen for me. Any others like Bounty Hunter Ventress and Coruscant Police would be icing on the cake.

  • SnTrooper

#1 for me would be the canceled Phase 1 Captain Rex.

    • I also agree with this. It still hurts that this figure hasn’t been released yet.

      • Rivesjunctionite

Seems like an easy one, since they have the development already done. Just manufacture the thing and sell it!

      • Xo Tica

Hasbro will blow your socks off when they announce him at New York Toy Fair. Oh well one can dream. ๐Ÿ˜ด

    • PeakOB1

I left that specific Rex off because we have (beat it to death!)
I think any of the clones in their PHASE ONE ARMOR would be an excellent addition to the Toy line!

      • Walter F.

        Amen to the Clones.

  • I also want to see the R8-B7 Build A Droid figure that was cancelled in 2013 finally released too.

  • Indysolo007

Rebels crew needs a couple exclusive packs.

Ghost Crew: Ezra, Sabine, Kanan, Zeb, Hera with Chopper.

Imperials of Lothal: Kallus, At-DP trooper, Stormtrooper Commander, Grand Inquisator, Tie Pilot, Imperial Disguise Chopper

Allies and Enemies: Ahsoka, Rex, Hondo, Maul, Seventh Sister, Fifth Brother

Those could be an exclusive. Would also love to see new clone packs. A commander and trooper.

    Two Mando sets:

Mandalorian: Obi Wan in armor, Bo Katan, Satine, 2 Blue Mandos

Team Maul: Maul in Armor, Pre Vizla, 3 red Maul Mandos,

    • brianstic .

What hasn’t an Obi-wan in Mandalorian armor figure been created yet? Make him a two-pack with Satine Kryze.

      • A Satine Kryze/ Bo Katan 2 pack could also work.

  • DarthXit

Rex, fives, Pre, Bo, Ventress, are all good…. There is also a grey phase 2 clone troop that I think are in one of the lost episodes …I think maybe they are the kamino guard squad.. An officer from that division would be cool too.
Edit… They are kamino security… Great looking clones

  • Mark

They should make the entire Rebels main cast in SA, at least the later season versions. I always thought Ziro was dumb. Interesting that so many people like him. I really wish Rebels and TCW would have their own collections so it didn’t feel like they’re just snuck into the movie lines.

    • Rivesjunctionite

I hate Ziro, but he’s a major character. He needs a figure.
If there were no Jar-Jar figures, I’d be clamoring for one of those too. Same deal here.

  • 6starwars

    Savage Opress

  • Kinetic_Koala

ASAJJ VENTRESS (preferably Dooku’s Assassin costume)!!! It pains me that Asajj is one of the most memorable characters from the outset of the EU and she still does not have a definite sculpt. Other wants –

    Darth Maul (Mandalore outfit)
Savage Opress (w/ switch-out cybernetic arm)
    Ahsoka (Rebels)

    • Mother_Talzin

Ventress from the Dark Disciple novel would be fantastic, since she’s never sported hair in action figure form.

  • Eric

Don’t forget the droids from both series.

    • Rivesjunctionite

      D SQUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Xo Tica

All fine if you live in the US, but overseas collectors would have much better chance getting these droids with a Hasbro set

        • Rivesjunctionite

Ah. Did not realize they were hard to get in the rest of the world.

          • Xo Tica

Disney won’t allow them to be sold outside of the US. You might find them in Euro Disney if you happen to go there. The only other alternative is E Bay if you are willing to pay 2 or 3 times the price US collectors pay.

      • PeakOB1

Hasbro Made One of them (QT-KT) in the Entertainment earth set we got! I would love to See Meeber Gasgon as a tiny accessory on one of the domes https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/7935ee9a91ca59b8cf0ecd8cb54704f600a39a4038974c77d1c8882a8e16963d.png

        • Rivesjunctionite

Yes, I have QT-KT, but she’s a big tease without the rest of the squad.
Finish the set, Hasbro! With Gascon too!

  • Dev71

Fives, Bo Katan, Satine, a Night Sister other than Talzan, and Pong Krell would be my top 5

    • JohnMorog

Would prefer Empress Satine in royal garb.

    • Rivesjunctionite

Ah yes, another Nightsister. That would also be great!

    • Mother_Talzin

A hooded generic Nightsister would be awesome, but so would a legit Mother Talzin.

  • Rivesjunctionite

Good grief, everyone of these would be awesome.
I think Satine, Bo Katan, Sugi, Adm. Trench, Pong Krell, and Fives are all ESSENTIAL.
    For Rebels, everything and anything.

    • Rivesjunctionite

      Also:
Two-packs of younglings from the lightsaber arc
Father, Son, and Daughter from Mortis
Onaconda Farr, Riyo Chuchi, Rush Clovis, and other senators/bureaucrats
      Turk Falso and other pirates
      Lux and Mina Bonterri
      Barriss Offee (“The Wrong Jedi”)
Dark Yoda and the Force Sages
      Master Sinube

  • Rivesjunctionite

Also, how about a Bad Batch set with exclusive comic book? Just thinking out loud.

    • Walter F.

Oh yeah. That would be a set right there. With an Echo.

  • LadiesMan217

I’ve been waiting for Bo Katan since 2013! I really hope she makes it

  • Tom Chorlton

Gosh, any and all. If we’re stuck with realistic looking, I’d want Pong Krell, Admiral Trench, Maul Mandolorian… I’d just really miss the nicer, animated designs of these.

  • OfWolfandMan

As far as all those above. Hmmmm, let’s see. Yes!

  • Mark Turner

    Zero the Hutt
    Fives
    Keele
    Ralo Harden
Sabine Kryze …to be starting with.

  • DutchVander

I’d love to see M5-BZ with Colonel Gascon and U9-C4 with WAC Pit droid to round out D-Squad. Can never have enough droids.

  • Coleman Miller

Ones in all caps need to be made yesterday:

Rebels: Entire main cast (Kanan, Ezra, Hera, Sabine, Zeb, Chopper, Kallus), Grand Inquisitor, Seventh Sister, Fifth Brother, Eighth Brother, Thrawn, Season 3 Ezra, Kanan , Zeb & Sabine, THRAWN, Leia, Hondo, Lando, AHSOKA!!!

Clone Wars: Bo Katan, Satine, Fives, PONG KRELL, Asajj Ventress Season 5, Padme in Season 2 outfit (the red one, one they made in CW line), Jedi Temple Guard, Mandalore Maul (then5 POA in the Obi-Wan 2 pack), Darth Bane, Nightsister assassins, Barris Offee

  • Mister_E

As much as all of these are good choices, I’m going to be deliberately contrarian here and suggest this: modified versions of the previous Clone Wars Anakin and Obi-Wan action figures with increased articulation. Not to mention toss in a later series Anakin with his ROTS-influenced design. With that said: if we’d get Darth Maul, I’d prefer his regular robot legs design.

  • 11Eleven11

Rebels Wedge in TIE pilot uniform!

  • Stuntman Mike

Nice lists! Would love to see most of these but some are musts:
    – Maul Mando
    – clone wars Saw Garera
    – young Fett
    – Ap-5
    – Blind Kanan

And some not on the lists above:
    – Rebel Kallus (season 4)
    – Rebel Trooper Rex (season 4)

  • Bunny Droids – and lots of em!!
    DEAD Master Luminara (Rebels)
Sidious (Season 5-6 wine/purple colored robe)

    • Xo Tica

A boxset of Sidious fighting Savage and Maul would be great

      • Yeah, that was the best fight. Sidious mopped the floor with both and thrown Maul around like a rag doll, too.

  • Kalzeth

Well done guys. I would add that Gar Saxon should have a removable helmet too. Others I would add would be Ursa Wren and Fenn rau non flight suit.

I would add in TCW the rest of the box bounty hunters would be great. Some other jedi would be interesting but I certainly would be very happy with the above.

Rebels we also need way better 5th brother, 8th brother and 7th sister.

SA Savage is a must too

    • Rivesjunctionite

Rebels has no SA figures, so everything needs to be re-done.
We definitely need a 7th sister that doesn’t completely suck. Other than the removable mask, that 5POA version is a real disappointment.

      • Mark

There’s got to be a better way to make skinny characters less rubbery. Maybe a higher durometer is necessary for such tiny limbs.

        • Rivesjunctionite

Here’s a crazy idea: Stop making them out of rubber.

  • Stuntman Mike

Think we also really need to see an Obi-wan and Saw from season 3 of rebels and Sabine with the Darksaber.

  • Fercho

    My list:

Ben Kenobi (Rako Hardeen – Protofettr-related outfit)
Mother Talzin: Labeled as such, not “Nightsister” as released before.
Ultimate Assajj Ventress: Either regular outfit or as bounty hunter.
    Fives
Ahsoka – with poncho as ending season 5
Ziro as a deluxe with an additional figure(s) would be rocking awesome
    Zombie Nightsister
Count Dooku – Still not done. Cape included
Hera Syndulla – Shrinked 6″ to 3.75″ scale

All of the above must be realistic TVC figures, as Anakin, Clone Armor Obi-Wan or Ahsoka.

    • Sith Lord Jacen

      My list Original Trilogy ONLY

      • Fercho

This is a thread for Rebels & Clone Wars.

      • Elias Fulton

Only a Sith deals in absolutes…

  • Can I nominate that weird talking snake thingy on the garbage planet from the episodes where Maul came back to life? It would probably be a creature pack but I always thought it was Henson-esque and looked like it came out of Labryinth/The Dark Crystal.

I’m sure some TCW fan could help me on the name but I only saw that episode once years ago.

    • As for Rebels, I’d like to see an animated version of Tarkin albeit older than the one we saw in TCW.

Did we even get a Tarkin from TCW? I sort of dropped out of collecting for a few years during that time but don’t remember ever seeing him on shelves.

      • Matthew Vandebogert

no we didnt get a Tarkin from TCW.

    • Mark

He’d be good in a “Hunt for Maul” box set with Talzin, Savage and Spider Maul.

      • Mother_Talzin

That would be insanely cool, I’d buy a few!

  • Caleb

This all looks great to me. I’d add Embo (I love Embo) and for Rebels, you NEED a Melch.

    Melch!

    • Rivesjunctionite

      YES! Snort, snort.

  • Xo Tica

I mainly concentrate on the larger scale figures. But i would definetly buy all of those Clone Wars figures listed and a many of the Rebels .
As a deluxe set I would love a Mortis ( Father,Son and Daughter) set.

  • Will Fair

What about an Umbaran pack. This would include Pong Krell, Rex phase II, Fives arc trooper armor, Jesse, Kix, Hardcase, Tup, and Dogma and an Umbaran soldier.

This could be split into two four packs or could be made five packs if you added regular 501st Legion troopers to them.

I also think there could be many more bounty hunters made which would be awesome!

  • Paul Berry

Number one for me would be Obi Wan as Rako Hardeen

    • Mark

How would we differentiate the Obi-Wan as Rako Hardeen figure from just Rako Hardeen? ๐Ÿ˜€

      • PeakOB1

When we first meet Rako he is wearing a different outfit. Obiwan assumes the persona of Rako , after Cad bane Breaks them out of prison, Obiwan picks this costume and goes by the code name Ben…
We even see him in a later episode where he wears the costume but just has his own facial features back! #Headswap

      • Have the figure come with multiple heads like Zam Wessel did.

        • Mark

So Obi-Wan’s head on Rako’s body or Obi-Wan’s Rako head on Rako’s body? What about 2 bodies and 2 heads? ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Jimmy Griffin

Pong Krell, Rebels version of Ahsoka, Jedi temple guard, Kanan (not sure what I want more: early series or blind version), later series Ezra, Agent Kallus, Lando, Hondo.

    • Mark

They could release some “evolution of a character” packs. Like teen Clone Wars Kanan from the Comic, regular Rebels Kanan and then blind Kanan. I’d definitely buy cool packs like that.

      • Jimmy Griffin

That would be awesome. While we are on the subject, even though she didn’t actually appear in either of the shows, we really need a new Depa Billaba figure.

  • nomadscout

The only thing that upsets me more than 6″ figures are 3.75″ figures with cartoon-styling. Neither line fits with my collection. I would have otherwise bought all of the Clone Wars and Rebels figures that were already produced. If, as is stated in the story above, realistically-styled figures are the standard, I would want any and all that could fit into the TVC line. Crossing fingers that TVC will achieve the necessary success to allow for 60-80 figures per year some day.

    • You didn’t read the post. These figure would be done in realistic, styling.

      • nomadscout

I did read it. I said “if realistic like the story above” than I’m open to any and all.

        • I think I am starting to hate many things too.

          • nomadscout

Excellent! It’s a healthy way to live.

  • Kit Fisto

Would love all of these. I’m totally on-board.

In addition to those above, from TCW I would like to see:
    -Darth Maul (mandalore clothes)
    -Savage Opress (with cybernetic arm)
    -Kit Fisto (underwater)
    -Jedi Temple Guard
    -Cad Bane
    -Embo
    -Commander Wolffe
    -Lom Pyke
    -99
    -Ventress (season 1-2 look)

    From Rebels:
    -Zeb
-Maul (from his duel with Kenobi)
    -Fifth Brother
    -Seventh Sister
    -Eighth Brother
    -Grand Admiral Thrawn

  • bnicks87

I 100% agree with this list.

In addition to the list, I’d like to see a commando droid, and/or any of the tactical droids.

From the list, I would personally love to see:
    Clone Wars:

Hondo, Krell, Maul, Pre Vizla, Ventress (either Sith or bounty hunter), Bo Katan, Obi-Wan (Rako Hardeen), and Fives (as well as any clone).

    Rebels:
Kanan, Ezra, Sabine, Hera, Zeb, Kallus, Ashoka, and the Grand Inquisitor.

  • juju

I absolutely love this list. I’d also like to add Riff Tamsen (the shark guy) for The Clone Wars. I’ll never get enough Clone Wars. And I’d be happy to see Lando taken off the Rebels list. a Rebels collection would be incomplete without AP-5 at this point.

  • Darth Wader

    Kallus is a must!

  • Blaaa

I would go for all of the Inquisitors. In the beast category, however unlikely in may be, I would really like a Bendu…

  • Jacob Carter

I’d add Vizago and Princess Leia to the list for Rebels along with Chopper

  • PeakOB1

This list was a blast to do! It’s to Nice offer some concepts and ideas every once in while! Both Darth Daddy and I left off a bunch of characters.

Here is my most wanted list

1.) Bo Katan: We are in a time right now where, like it or not Girls rule! This character is in both Clone wars and rebels and everyone loves Mando bounty hunters

2.) Sugi: Once again this character is in Clone wars and Mentioned in the book shattered empire where her niece is one of the main characters fly that green gunship around!

3.) Ben Kenobi In Rako Hardeen Disguise would be my absolute all time favorite! This is such a great look for him and the first time, he uses the code name Ben!

4.) Ventress Bounty Hunter: or pretty much any Ventress outfit you want to make would be a hit in my mind! She is such a sold character by the end of the show!

5.)Ketsu Onyo: In both Rebels and the new forces of destiny, Probably the most elaborate costume I have seen since Hasbro made Cato Parisiti in the Shadows of the dark side toy line.

There’s so many more, If just a few of these for produced I’m sure it would make a lot of people happy!

Also Wanted to thank Paul Very much, for letting us work on this list!

  • obreaslan

I’d be in for the Ghost Crew (Hera, Kanan, Sabine, Zeb, Ezra & Chopper), Hondo and Kallus.

  • King Bowser

I would gladly buy almost all of those in 6″ scale, I’ve grown a little pickier in 3.75″.

For the TVC I’d probably only be interested in: Hondo, all Mandalorians, Phase 2 Pre Visla, ARC Fives,Gregor, Pong Krell, and Trench.

  • Tony Harmon

You got to add C-21 Highsinger The bounty hunter droid to the list.

    • Rivesjunctionite

Let’s just do the whole BOX

    • Elias Fulton

      YES!!!!

  • RamblingBeachCat

Sometimes I feel like the only collector who want Embo with his dog Marrok as a pack-in ๐Ÿ™

  • BlackBeltJohnson .

Ahhhh….Thank you for this topic, Paul! ๐Ÿ˜€ Much Appreciated!!

My Top 10 for Realistic Vintage style figures…

    1. Pong Krell
    2. Savage Opress
    3. ARC Trooper Fives
    4. Pre Vizula (second Outfit)
    5. Mother Talzin

    6. Bo Katan
    7. Cyber-Maul version (any version)
    8. Death Watch soldier
    9. Asajj Ventress (any outfit)
    10. ARC Trooper Echo

Honestly though, a great deal many CW characters would make great realistic figures, particularly: Cad Bane, Embo, Sugi, Dengar, Hondo, Jedi Temple Guards, or Phase-1 Clone Commanders, Clone Scouts and Clone ARF troopers.

  • John Ingham

i would like to see all of them but if i had to pick one each for CW and rebels it would be cad bane and grand inquisitor

  • Mother_Talzin

Mother Talzin. While I loved the generic Nightsister (from the Maul multipack) that looked similar to Talzin, it wasn’t her, but the figure is already realistically sculpted and can be retooled into Talzin. I would happily buy multiples!

  • Walter F.

Well this entire list of course.

  • zerobobby77

After seeing Gregor there, it remind me how much we need an updated SA Delta Squad.

    • Paul

The toys R Us exclusive delta squad pack from 2011 is still pretty good in terms of SA although it could do with a re-issue as I believe it costs quite a bit now on the secondary market.

  • Paul

As others have said the full Rebels crew, along with Kallus with removable helmet and armor a’la ESB General Veers in TVC and the three main inquisitors.

Also if you do Gar Saxon, you need to do Fenn Rau along with soldier Mandos for both.

Also Clone Wars Maul, after he got his humanoid legs during the Mandalorian clone wars

  • Fercho

What about a “Mortis” 3-pack? Father, Son and Daughter?

    • Paul

      That’s be nice.

    • Randy

Of all things that have been bad in the SW universe, those are the absolute worst. it’s such garbage, even worse than Waru.

  • Paul

Also recommend that since we’re getting doctor Aphra that BT and Triple-0 would also be nice to round out the malicious trio

  • Phil

Has anyone mentioned the Jedi Temple Guard figure? Never saw one, and would like two.

    • Mark

…and maybe even the Inquisitor in Jedi Temple Guard outfit from the second Jedi Temple episode on Rebels.

      • There’s nothing special about him is there? Maybe they could pack in his head?

      • brianstic .

The Grand Inquisitor in his Jedi Temple Guard outfit would be wonderful.

    • Kelen Thalinger

I’d love to see Jedi Temple Guard. Less popular, but I’d also love to see C-21 Highsinger (maybe in a bounty hunters multi-pack of some sort) and an improved Commander Thorn and Phase 2 Rex

      • Oh yes! I forgot to mention him in my previous comment!

  • DarthCanabis

If we have ARC Trooper “Fives” then we have to have Echo as well. It would be nice to see some more night sisters as well. We should also have Delta squad not just Gregor and Jedi Master Krell is a must.

  • BlueSaber

How about NONE? The cartoons have THEIR OWN LINE! Why does anyone want to waste a perfectly amazing OT slot for some of this cartoon schlock? Vintage should be for the films ONLY. Comic packs and exclusives can take care of the EU, but unless Kanan or Sabine make it into a film, they shouldn’t be wasting slots in this line, PERIOD.

  • thelastwookie

I really want a Katsu figure. And you can’t go wrong with Mandalorian.

  • Stereotypical Evil Archer

    Obi-Wan in Mandalorian Armor!

  • Chezwa

Master Huyang, C-21 Highsinger, Sugi, Pong Krell, Bo Katan and Admiral Trench would be my top list in no particular order, though Bo Katan has to be top of that list.

  • mic windu

While I have watched and enjoy these shows, I would consider their inclusion in the vintage collection a wasted opportunity. I prefer to see characters from the film’s, especially now when spaces are sparse. If ever we returned to the days of 80+ figures a year then sure. But when it’s 19(?) and most are repacks, then not at this time.

    • Xo Tica

We need new blood in collecting, there must be something for everybody, if not you are going to see the TVC line finish very quickly. OT collectors on their own cannot support the entire line.

      • …I really liked TCW but there are few figures of this line up that I would buy… with that said… it’s important to get new kids into this line… so as you said new blood is needed and some Rebels figures must be included

      • Rivesjunctionite

And I won’t buy any more versions of classic OT characters. I have enough. Give me someone new.

      • mic windu

Poor character selection, uninteresting repacks, low number of figures and poor distribution will be the reason the line finishes. I have little faith in the new Hasbro team but would love to be proven wrong. If they got the basic line up to scratch with added articulation then that’s where I can see multi media figures belonging. Similar to how it was ran in tandem with the last round of vintage collection. I would buy realistic Rebels team and select Clone wars BUT spaces will be so precious in TVC the priority should go to the film’s (all 8+) at least to begin with. Star Wars toys started in that packaging, long term collectors have been royally dumped on the last few years and as proven in the previous article, the list isn’t that long for the OT figures anywho so let’s get it complete (as close as)

        • Elias Fulton

Learn to share with kids. We want our heroes in action figure form too. Your generations Star Wars isn’t the only one. Your 92 can be a priority, but step aside once you have it.

  • Ulek Calus

  • ARC-77

Lots of great choices in the pictures and the comments.

Some that haven’t been mentioned yet that Id like to add are
    -Cin Drallig
    -the spirit of Darth Bane
-the Wookie Jedi Padawan from The Gathering

  • Captain America Trooper

Umbarans! They gave the Clones their toughest fight of the entire show.

  • Sith Lord Jacen

DO NOT release cartoon garbage, what a complete waste of a Vintage Card. If it’s not OT don’t do it.

    • You’re suffering from delusions of grandeur if you think TVC is going to be all OT.

  • Moseisleynative

I loved The Clone Wars. For my money, ESB is the greatest Star Wars tale ever followed by RTJ, then TCW (even though It is just a cartoon). So many great characters to choose from. Not a big fan of Rebels but most of the Ghost crew was cool.

  • I love seeing all the interaction this post is generating. It’s also very cool to see that people’s lists are close to the one Peak-OB1 and I put together this weekend. I really wanted to get “99” on the list, but we tried to narrow it down to only a certain number of slots and I lost the coin toss ๐Ÿ˜‰ I think we need an action figure of a character of his caliber in the line. Imagine what the implications would have been if Domino Squad never made it into the field as their instructors were planning. 99 had a huge impact on the Clone Wars, but we forget his contribution by the end. He also represents all those Star Wars fans overcoming disabilities that rarely feel represented in toy lines. I think all the figures listed are significant enough characters to merit a figure and it would be nice to see them made over the coming years. I like all the interest in this thread because it shows just how much love there is for the animated content.

MY TOP 10 DESIRED CLONE WARS FIGURES
    1. Satine Kryze – Any Outfit. Preferably a 3-pack of her in her headdress outfit, pink adventure gear outfit, and the blue outfit she died in. The love interst of Obi-Wan Kenobi NEEDS an action figure. She died in his arms! At Maul’s hands. What fan doesn’t want to recreate that scene in plastic?
    2. Professor Huyang – Love the idea of a droid lightsaber building instructor who was there when Yoda built his own lightsaber.
    3. Bo Katan – She is in both Clone Wars and Rebels and features as a major player in both. Viszlaโ€™s partner in crime. Plus, she’s a Mandalorian and Satine’s sister.
    4. Pong Krell โ€“ Scariest villain and heโ€™s a Jedi!
    5. Sugi โ€“ One of the coolest new bounty hunters we got on the show. Iโ€™d love if she came with her ship.
    6. Ziro the Hutt โ€“ He was the villain of the theatrical release and a great reoccurring figure throughout the series. Heโ€™d look great in a set with Sy Snootles.
    7. Kalani – Love the design of this droid. Plus, he made it into Rebels.
    8. Lux Bonteri โ€“ A pretty major character. Lux was the love interest of Ahsoka and they had several adventures together. Iโ€™d prefer the Onderaan version for his figure.
    9. Steela Guerera โ€“ The first Rebel leader, Need I say more.
    10. Saw Guerera โ€“ Have to have a companion figure to Steela and Lux. Plus he raises Jyn Erso and is heavily featured in Rogue One.

Other Honorable Mentions: Younglings from Season 5 Ahsoka/Hondo arc, Younglings from Padawan Lost, Hondo Gang members, Pune Zignat, Highsinger, and of course all other figures that actually made the list.

MY TOP 10 DESIRED โ€œREBELSโ€ FIGURES
    1. HONDO
    2. LANDO CALRISSIAN
    3. SEASON 3 EZRA BRIDGER
    4. BLIND KANAN JARRUS
    5. SEASON 3 SABINE WREN
    6. AZMORIGAN
    7. KETSU ONYO
    8. AP-5
    9. CHAM SYNDULLA
    10. NUMA
HONORABLE MENTIONS: ALL OTHER FIGURES ON THE LIST.

A big thanks to Paul and Peak-OB1 and for asking me to participate in this!

  • Sam Abaza

Both properties deserve a lot of love. I just posted on another site about how collectors may be discouraged from collecting because Hasbro has neglected or is unable to keep up with all of the SW media out there. In fact, I mentioned CW & Rebels as two rich opportunities that have received little to no support from Hasbro. CW Slave Ahsoka and other variations to main characters, tons of droids, bounty hunters, pirates, troopers, imperials, the list can go on for a long time! They need to have a continuous balance between all films, TV series, and even video games/comics, so that each segment gets some support to regain and maintain consumer interest. Focusing on one or two segments of such a large universe is counter productive both short and long term! Vary emphasis, but spread the love in the waves we get!

    • PeakOB1

Beautifully Put Sam! I couldn’t agree More. These Days, toy properties shouldn’t be limited to just one type of product! It should cover everything!

      • Sam Abaza

Thank you and I hope all is well. I hope Hasbro can find a way to spread the waves out across SW titles. Each wave they release per year should have a wide selection. Change the emphasis of the waves, but keep it widely variable. This way, collectors of all sorts can have something to look forward to each wave. Get back to releasing a few years a wave and amp up production of quality figures.

  • DarthSharky

There’s a lot of characters I would buy from both series, not to mention vehicles as well.

  • Norman

I would love to have an Asaaj with hair in her outfit from Dark Disciple…

  • ILoveSand

Did anyone say Senator Chuchi yet? I would love her character as a figure.

    • Daniel Georgiev

She would be awesome in a Republic Senate pack. I would add Onaconda Farr and Halle Burtoni.

      • ILoveSand

        Yes and yes

  • It would be great if the sculpts on these figures walk that line between animated and realistic. Almost a hybrid of the two. Similar to the Cad Bane headsculpt that came with TODO-360. Make the headsculpts so they could still fit well in well with the animated figures too.

    • Daniel Georgiev

That is a great example! That can be done with Krell and Trench.

  • Randy

I want none of them in TVC. I’m all for collectors that want them being able to get their figure fixes, but not in TVC. They should be in another line. Like coming in pairs, maybe sometimes with a comic.

  • Alec Rock

    Cad bane and embo!! wtf

  • Alec Rock

Cad bane is a must. we need rebels darth maul, derrown, moralo eval. not to mention savage. were overdue for embo with marrok. maybe an inquisitor 4 pack or something. either way the eighth brother would be cool.

  • Nathaniel D

    CW top 3 for me:
    Ventress
    Pre Vista
    Fives

    Rebels top 3:
    Kanan
    The Grand Inquistor
    Ahsoka

  • Matthew Sebastian Wang

It would be great if Ventress came with an interchangable head based on her appearance in Dark Disciple.

  • Kelen Thalinger

Jedi Temple Guard, C-21 Highsinger, and a better Commander Thorn would all be additions to the list above that I’d personally like to see.

  • JediBB8

I always wanted Satine and Gregor from The Clone Wars, and I would love to expand our Rebels collection to include Kanan (season 3), Ezra and Sabine (season 3), Bo Katan, Agent Kallus, and of course, we need AP-5! Ziro the Hutt and Trench would be amazing too. These two animated series have been so great and added some imaginative and emotional storylines to the Star Wars universe….. I would love to see these characters immortalized in plastic!

  • CJ

I don’t object to characters from these sources in theory, but there’s really almost nothing here I’d buy. Maybe Hera.

  • ralltiir

I love the idea of making use of all this great material.

For my money the most urgently needed figures from animated series are Satine, bounty hunter versions of Ben Kenobi and Ventress, and a realistically styled young Ahsoka. I also place a high priority on Bo Katan and Pre Vizla, Steela and Saw Gerrera, Pong Krell, and late season Rebels characters like blind Kanan with removable mask, AP-5, and the upcoming versions of Hera in starfighter suit and good guy Kallus. Ketsu, Fives, and Gregor as civilian would all excite me too.

I like multipacks for animated characters a lot. Obi-Wan in red mandalorian armor would pair well with Satine or Bo Katan, for example. It seems to me that a Rebels hero set with the crew — blind Kanan with removable mask, buzzcut Ezra, Hera, Zeb, imperial disguise paint Chopper, Sabine with Darksaber, AP-5, and Ahsoka/Rex/Sato would be great, possibly a good way to remake some stuff while also offering compelling new pieces that will help everyone feel complete.

One way or another, we need access to Imp-style Kallus and Jedi Temple Guards again, imo single cards would be best. Someday I want leaders like Sato, Cham Syndulla, Trench, Kalani, but the foregoing seem like better priorities. For Satine, I prefer an outfit that shows her face and hair better, rather than the seashell one. The green and pink blouse, her red outfit, or her dark fibal look to pair with red Obi-wan would all be appealing. .

Finally, I would really love a more realistic Rebels style Darth Vader that is superposable. McQuarrie rocks and that would be awesome. Thx!

  • Nice to see that people generally agree with the lists that were presented.

  • Jaghearse

Lando. More Lando. By 2017 we really should have had a whole lot more representing this character. Damn, he could have his own dapper fashion sub line. Now stop mucking about get on with it.

  • RumSleg

I’d much prefer a Clone Wars version of Hondo than a Rebels version. Those grown-out “horns” on his jawline in Rebels just remind me of creepy long fingernails.

  • Tyler Frechette

How is Thrawn not on this list?!?!?!?

    • PeakOB1

This robust list was presented to Hasbro to show them, “there’s more then just main characters & clone trooper repaints that collectors are interested in!”

We kept the list small because their are hundreds more on the clone wars list
and at least double for the rebels list. Any collector could get overwhelmed if you put every single character on there, the same i’m sure could be said for Hasbro themselves.

We gave the list “Real Variety” to break up the monotony and not just pick the popular vote! Your free to cast your own choice for them to hopefully create…

The reality is, that Hasbro has a (digital Asset) of THRAWN created and he Has a far greater chance of being produced for the TVC collection as well As season one Kanan,Hera,Sabine, Ahsoka and The CW Phase 2 Rex, even though we saw him in the black series just a few years back.

Whether they admit to it or not, It’s way easier to shrink down something they already produced and has a proven track record of sales.

I think Thrawn Has a Better chance then anyone on this entire list that’s why we left him off, if that makes any sense? =)

  • Matthew Vandebogert

If i typed out a list i bet its 100 fugures. I absolutely love this idea. We need alot of TCW figures i believe. Heres my Top choices Not in any particular order.

  • Captain Antilles

Mandos, Mandos, Mandos please: Pre Vizla, Bo Katan, Maul Mando…

  • localfromiskalon

Complete Rebels crew, Hondo, Cad Bane, Kallus, Fives, Gregor, Rex.

  • Every realistic cartoon figure hogging a spot in TVC would be a waste.

A different platform should be used for these. Something similar to the Toys R Us TFU multipacks should be the vehicle.

    • PeakOB1

I’m impressed with how many people “took the high ground” and didn’t comment at all, opposed to the few of you guys that don’t agree with this idea altogether.

I think the days of a “Pure line” held off specifically for the Original Trilogy fizzled out after the VOTC & TVSC had their run…

You may not agree with my opinion but The Vintage Collection was developed to celebrate the Saga in it’s entirety and became a whole different animal back in 2010…
It just appeared to continue to keep up with the OT and then moved to the prequels, the EU/Legends, Video Games and even the Clone Wars .

It’s not fair to say that stuff doesn’t deserve a figure because it’s not a character from a theatrical release.
At this point i think its is the only avenue left to offer characters from these shows. One or two multi packs are not going to cut it, though could be their eventual reality. =)

    • Elias Fulton

You old guys have gotten plenty of your favorite characters made several times over in the Vintage line. It’s time you share with us kids and let us get some of the heroes of our generations Star Wars made in the Vintage line as well.

  • Zirro!!!!

  • ShipGirlLover

Well, the OT only people know we’re getting Aphra, so obviously its not only movie characters. They can easily scale down the realistic Black Series sculpts of Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Ahsoka, and Thrawn. And should.

I’m tired ofbthe same old characters, and let’s face it – the TVC can’t survive on pegwarming TFA repacks and obscure characters only the most dedicated of us want.

  • ILoveSand

I remember seeing this when I was googling to see if Hasbro had made a Chuchi figure yet, That is sweet. Your son needs to join Hasbro ASAP and school them.

  • Meesa_Mike

Realistic 3 3/4″ versions of Hondo, Satine and Ventress are on the top of my list!

  • Kinja

Interesting choices, but the chances of any of these happening in TVC are pretty much zilch. I know Hasbro has plans to keep TVC going for a few years, but when you consider all the future films which will need to be represented in this already too-crowded line, it seems unlikely that Hasbro will waste a slot and resources tooling an all new SA sculpt of ‘Random Clone #276’ or a figure of Obi Wan that doesn’t look like Obi Wan. Heck, even the obvious choices like Ventress and Visla would be long shots, at best.

    • PeakOB1

Letโ€™s keep a little optimism you just never know!

  • Axonrey

I will buy any and all Jedi regardless of what corner of Star Wars spawned them. Clone Wars is rich with visually interesting characters which i think is important.

Also, I’d love Rig Nema and Tiplar and Tiplee.

  • If it is ever decided that it is not feasible to release these characters for mass retail, it would be really nice to see these action figures released through a subscription service. We certainly provided a solid amount of options to inspire. Although, the generation of children who grew up on this content are just beginning to work their first jobs, may still living at home, have lots of disposable income, and this could be an opportunity to pull in many new collectors if these are handled properly. The kids who grew up on the animated content have deep reverence for the material. I have heard many of them say they like the animated content more than the films. Blasphemy to the OTC generation, but these kids had more hours to cherish and much more time with so many more characters than we did.

  • Melonballer

Love the list, but I would like to see more aliens. In particular I want realistic versions of Cad Bane, Embo (with Marrok) and Latts Razzi. Hondo would be great too.

    • Daniel Georgiev

Current lines by Hasbro need more aliens and droids! I hoping most of the Separatist Alliance characters get made one day.

  • Lloyd G. W. Wynn

    TCW:
    STEELA GERRERA
    HUYANG + 6 JEDI PADAWANS
    ZERO THE HUT

    SWR:
    BENDU + 2 CONVORS
    TSEEBO
    ZEB
    CAP. REX

  • Joe G

I want them REALISTIC; NOT looking like a cartoon! I loved when they did this with some of the CW figures. The play/collecting value comes from continuity of format and integration with previous/current lines.

    • Elias Fulton

I prefer a hybrid of the two, where it could pass for either. Similar to how the Cad Bane with TODO-360 was sculpted.

      • Joe G

Iโ€™ll buy that…I picked up Cad and Todo because they were so well done they could integrate with my other figures lines.

  • Elias Fulton

I was 5 years old when I saw “The Clone Wars” movie in the theater and never missed an episode. In fact, I have rewatched EVERY episode MULTIPLE times. I was pretty bummed when my dad and Peak-OB1 made this list without me. That was until I saw what they put together. I already have beautiful custom versions of a lot of these, but there are also many on here that are some of my most wanted action figures of all-time! The ones from the list I want most would be Professor Huyang, Admiral Trench, Lux Bonteri, Steela and Saw from The Clone Wars content. From Rebels, I’d like the entire list made, but I would want A-P5 and Numa higher on the list and I’d toss the Ahsoka and The Grand Inquisitor into the honorable mention category. I already have those figures. Hasbro, if you want to get kids to buy more figures, release more characters from the animated content. Us kids are immersed with these characters on a weekly basis, and spend way more time with these characters than the older collectors spent with the theatrical releases. The animated heroes are our Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Leia. From a younger Star Wars fan’s perspective, too much emphasis for action figure selection is based on the theatrical releases. The heroes in these films are cool, but I don’t spend every week tuning in to see them. I don’t want a Millennium Falcon. I want a Ghost. Do something for the kids for a change. The grownups have gotten plenty. The shelves are filled with my dad’s heroes. Where are mine? Your aversion to making animated figures is why we play video games. I just don’t have the same attachment to the OTC that my dad does. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the films, but I like the modern animated content most. Food for thought.

  • Daniel Georgiev

This is a glorious page! I love the images above! It would incredible to see some Separatist Alliance characters on shelves in the near future. I am a huge fan of the Separatists and my top pics from the image above are Admiral Trench, Pong Krell, General Kalani and Asajj Ventress.
    – Admiral Trench would be amazing in a realistic form. Hasbro have done nice figures with multiple arms in the past like Grievous and Nabrun Leids. If a figure of Trench is made then I would prefer the original one from his Season Two appearance.
    – General Kalani’s appearance on “Star Wars Rebels” is still fresh in people’s minds and he is the only Separatist Alliance character to transition from “The Clone Wars” to “Rebels”. He would be ideal for a figure in one of waves of the Vintage Collection and a realistic version of him would look so great alongside Separatist Alliance figures from the past and Vintage Collection versions of the main characters from “Rebels”. Also, “Star Wars” action figure lines need more droids and aliens. There are too many humans!
    – Pong Krell has to be made into a figure one of these days. He has been talked about a lot and for good reason. He is an evil alien Jedi with four arms and two double-bladed lightsabers. That would look fantastic on the shelf with the rest of my collection. I remember that Hasbro has released a Besalisk character before in the form of Dexter Jettster. That figure has 4 moving arms and 8 POA. I would imagine that if Krell gets made then he would have twice as many POA.
    – We have not seen an Asajj Ventress in almost a decade so I think it is high time for her to make a return in figure form. We need more of the evil ladies of “Star Wars” to grace our collections. A Rey figure is good and all, but a Ventress figure with her bounty hunter outfit from Season Four would be outstanding. Like Leia and Luke, Ventress has had many outfits over the years. I hope Ventress makes it to the Vintage Collection one day in any of her various outfits.

Having said the above, I would also not think twice if I had a chance to buy any of the other “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels” characters in the images above. Characters like Mother Talzin, Fives, Gregor, Azmorigan, Pre Vizsla and Cham Syndulla would be great additions to my collection.

As a fan of the Separatist Alliance, I would like to mention some characters I hope one day get made into action figures:
    – Riff Tamson
    – Moralo Eval
    – Doctor Nuvo Vindi
    – Queen Miraj Scintel of the Zygerrian Slave Empire
    – Darts D’Nar
    – General Lok Durd
    – Osi Sobeck

Thank you for reading and may the Force be with you!
